Summary
Why did the twelve refuse to leave the word of God to serve tables? In this Sabbath lesson from Acts 6, Luke 10 and Psalm 138, seven men full of the Holy Spirit are chosen to care for the widows, and we see why Mary chose the good part and why Yahuah has magnified his word above all his name. You’ll follow Stephen in Acts 7 as he answers the false witnesses by recounting Israel’s history from Abraham to Moses, reminds them of the prophet Moses said would be raised up, and is stoned while seeing Yahushua at the right hand of God, with Acts 2 showing the difference between being pricked in heart and gnashing in anger. Finally, Acts 8 follows the scattered disciples preaching the word, Simon the sorcerer rebuked for trying to buy the gift of God, and Philip teaching the Ethiopian eunuch from Isaiah before baptizing him.
