[08:09] figuring something out the priority is the word right and that's always been a [08:16] priority so when you understand the scriptures that's not a hard decision for you that's why they said and then everybody trying to [63:54] get in on it right so they looking like no man let me give me a rock too so they had jackets and coats he like hold on [64:00] hold my you know what I'm saying hold my jacket so they handing it to to sa sa stand there like yeah I got it don't worry but go get him you know what I'm [64:06] saying but he's consenting onto the devil in other words he wants it to happen right so this sa that we reading [64:13] about this ends up being the Apostle Paul right so let's see keep [64:19] going and devout man carried Steven to his burial and made great lamentation over him as fora he made Havoc of the [64:27] congregation entering into every house and hiling men and women committed them to prison therefore right so now sa [64:35] after that as time went on he took it up upon himself to go chase these men down [64:42] right so he chasing them down he looking like yo yo yo you know what I'm saying what y'all doing over here or y'all believe in yahua that's against our law [64:49] and then he take him and carry him off to prison right so he's gaffling everybody [64:54] up so was kind of operating as a officer as a police officer right keep going [65:01] therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word then Philip went down to the city [65:07] of Samaria and preached the Messiah unto them and the people right so I want you guys to understand that get a picture of [65:13] what's Happening we are all in Jerusalem where did yahua tell us to [65:23] stay right he told us to stay in Jerusalem right he said remember T here until the [65:31] Holy Spirit came the Holy Spirit came they waited in Jerusalem right now the [65:38] word is beginning to spread remember yahushua also said the gospel starting [65:45] at Jerusalem has to be preached throughout all the world those are two things that he said right so the first [65:51] thing he said is stay here and then the Spirit came right now [65:58] you got Paul or Saul and a whole bunch of other people that's coming and they're chasing our disciples out of [66:06] Jerusalem so read it again so people can see [66:12] it and so and for so he made Havoc of the congregation entering into every house and hailing men and women [66:18] committed them to prison therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word right when [66:25] it says scattered abroad it's saying scattered outside of Jerusalem right so now they're spreading [66:32] out and they're preaching the word everywhere so in other words I got to get out of Jerusalem because Saul trying [66:38] to get me but I'm about to go up North I'm in Samaria right I'm in Antioch right so [66:46] they in all these different places Antioch Samaria that's where Gentiles are so they going to these different [66:51] places but wherever they going guess what they talking about I'm a servant of the most high god oh yeah that means you [66:58] know what I'm saying you're an Israelite well know I'm an Israelite for sure but I'm a disciple of of the Messiah Oh you [67:03] mean that dude that just got killed everybody be tripping over yeah that's the Messiah he really was the Messiah he [67:09] was like that for real yes you know what I'm saying I know you he walked through Samaria y'all heard some of these people just said up let me tell you this is [67:15] what he trying to do anybody who obey him this that another they he and they looking like all right I'll roll with it [67:21] too so then you have our people that don't believe in y' yua that'd be like [67:26] oh they teaching that stuff out there too man give me a couple people let's go on up to Samaria let's chase them out so [67:32] we chasing the disciples further and further and further out this is causing [67:38] the word to spread more and more right so I want you guys to like it's always [67:44] to perspective to look at things right from our perspective man our people was [67:50] doing the wrong thing by persecuting us right we doing the wrong Thing by by by [67:56] by challenging yahua and trying to prevent his word from spreading but at the same time by doing that it caused [68:04] the word to spread more right so all of this is happening according to yah's plan right watch this [68:12] keep going and the people with one Accord [68:19] gave heed unto those things which Philip spake hearing and seeing the Miracles which he did gave heed to to [68:26] who the things that Philip fake hearing and seeing the Miracles which he did so [68:32] look this is Phillip but then we just got done talking about Stephen Phillip and Stephen are both two of the seven [68:40] people that were chosen to to serve the tables remember we started off by saying [68:46] that uh the disciples chose the apostles they chose seven men that can help serve [68:52] the tables right and these are devout men that were filled with the holy [68:57] spirit so of these seven men you have two of them that we've talked about [69:03] Stephen excuse me who ended up being killed right and then now you have [69:08] Phillip so we about to learn about Phillip and see what he does this is a different Phillip I think from the [69:14] Phillip that's an apostle I mean that was with the disciples right watch this keep [69:23] going and the people with one Accord gave heed to the things which Philip spake hearing and seeing the Miracles [69:28] which he did for unclean spirits crying with with loud with a loud voice came [69:34] out of many that were possessed with them and many taken with pusies and that were lame were healed and there was [69:40] great joy in that City but there was one a certain man called Simon which Before Time in the same city used sorcery and [69:48] bewitched the people of Samaria giving out that himself was a some great one to whom they all gave heed from the least [69:54] to the greatest saying this man has great power of God is the great power of God and to him [70:02] they had regard because that of a long time he had Bewitched them with sorceries but when they believed Philip [70:09] preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God in the name of yahua the Messiah they were baptized both men and [70:15] women then Simon himself believed also and when he was baptized he continued [70:20] with Philip and and wondered beholding the Miracles and signs which were done now when I want y'all to see a couple [70:26] things Simon was the man around these parts he used to trick people make him [70:31] think that he had the power of the most high God he don't know nothing about what's about to happen he don't know [70:37] nothing about yahushua he don't know nothing about all this stuff he just know I've been getting my scam off for [70:42] years and everybody coming to me right then all of a sudden it's new game in [70:47] town so Phil come through and he doing real Miracles ain't no scam to it so everybody looking at it they looking [70:53] like oh no we need to listen to him Philip start baptizing people right and [70:59] when he baptized him everybody believed right so then Simon also starts to [71:06] listen to what Philip is talking about and he believes also the point I want y'all to see is [71:13] belief is not enough right the book read it again the book just told you he believes right [71:20] watch this and Simon himself believed also and when he was baptized he continued with Philip and wondered [71:25] beholding the Miracles and signs which were done so he believed and he was baptized keep going watch this now when [71:32] the apostles which were Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God they sent unto him Peter and John [71:39] who when they were come down prayed for them that they might receive the holy spirit for he was Fallen upon none of [71:46] them only they were baptized in the name only they that were baptized in the name of yua right so this is what this is [71:53] saying is all the people was baptized but nobody got the gift of the holy spirit so you remember we was talking [71:59] about last week you know what I'm saying like like how did you know what I'm saying how did it work you know what I'm saying do people get the Holy Spirit [72:05] when they baptized today all that so it looked like it was connected to somebody [72:11] who was given the gift to pass the Holy Spirit along not just anybody could do it so although Phillip who was a man who [72:18] had the Holy Spirit itself because that's what we learned in um chapter 6 is that seven men were chosen who were [72:24] full of the Holy Spirit right Philip himself had the Holy Spirit but when he baptized he couldn't pass it along right [72:32] so then he had to call somebody else out and watch what [72:38] happens then laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit and when Simon saw that through laying on of [72:45] the Apostles hands of the Holy Spirit was given he offered them money saying give me also this power that on [72:51] whomsoever I lay hands he may receive the holy spirit so you see who has the power to pass along the Holy [72:58] Spirit it was the apostles right now it's not only the [73:04] apostles we gon to see examples of people who are not Apostles able to do it as well but in this scenario Philip [73:11] couldn't do it even though he had the Holy Spirit he couldn't just baptize somebody and then they get the Holy [73:16] Spirit from him right on the apostles had to come in this scenario and had to [73:21] baptize them and then the Holy Spirit transferred onto these individuals so much so that Simon when he saw it was [73:27] like yo look I got some money you know I'm say I've been making money a lot of money in these parts I got some money I [73:33] pay you but give me that power you know what I'm saying what what you doing what you know how you gave them the only like [73:39] show me how to do that you know what I'm saying like like like show me how to make somebody start seeing visions and [73:46] start speaking in tongues and and and and just have like this unique understanding and this this vision and [73:52] this dream immediately like like show me how to do that you know what I'm saying because that's some real power that I [73:58] can make some use of so now watch how they responded watch how Peter responded but Peter said unto him thy money perish [74:04] with thee because thou Hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money thou H has neither part nor lot in [74:09] this matter for thy heart is not right in the sight of God repent therefore of this thy wickedness and pray God if [74:16] perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee for I perceive that you [74:21] are in the gall of bitterness and the bond of iniquity then answered Simon and said pray ye to the Lord for me that [74:27] none of these things which you have spoken come upon me and they when they had testified and preached the word of [74:33] the Lord returned unto Jerusalem and preached the gospel in many villages and of the [74:39] Samaritans and the angel of the Lord spake unto philli saying arise go toward the South unto the way that goeth down [74:45] from Jerusalem unto Gaza which is in the desert and he arose and went and behold a man of Ethiopia a unic of great [74:52] Authority Under Candice Queen of the Ethiopians who had the charge of all their treasure and had come to Jerusalem [74:59] for to worship was returning and sitting in his Chariot reading Isaiah the prophet then the spirit so now the who [75:07] who told philli to go that way the most high right a angel told him [75:14] like yeah go this way then the spirit carried them off right it's important to understand [75:20] these details because it's showing you how God works right you got a man riding [75:25] in a chariot reading the book of Isaiah and this man is about to ask like man he been sitting here praying like man I I [75:32] just need somebody to show me what this mean the angel came to Phillip and The [75:38] Spirit came Phil carry Phillip away at any point that angel and that Spirit could have went right up to right up to [75:44] the the uh uh what's his name the the the unit yeah what's his name he got a [75:50] name don't he uh's my man's name his name is uh [75:59] it don't say it don't say his name okay you know what I'm saying but he could have went up to the unit you know what [76:05] I'm saying he could have said something the the angel could have said something to him himself like yo y yo you know what I'm saying let me tell you what that mean what you read that's talking [76:12] about yahua the spirit could have just came into him and it could have revealed the understanding to him right away like [76:19] oh this talking about yahua but it didn't why do I mention that because a [76:25] lot of times in Christianity we were taught that oh well you know what brother somebody be trying to tell you [76:30] the truth like no you got to look at the book The X Y and Z is say this now you got to stop believing this you got to [76:36] turn away from this this that another well you know I'm just G I'm just gonna sit on it and pray to the most high God [76:43] and um I'm just gonna wait until God moves on my soul and reveals it to [76:48] me right that's a heck of an expectation when you got a man right here riding in [76:55] The Chariot reading the scripture praying to the most high God revealed his understanding to me and the spirit [77:01] didn't come to him the angel didn't come to him but guess who did a [77:09] disciple a a man a disciple came to him and he's about to teach it to him right [77:16] that is the expect I'm not saying that it's impossible for the most high God to reveal himself to you or all I'm saying [77:21] is you should not have the expectation that the most high God is going to [77:27] miraculously open up your brain without somebody teaching you I'm not saying it can't happen I'm [77:34] saying that should not be your expectation there's no reason for it to be because you don't have that example [77:41] in the book what you have in the book after yahua died and you dealing with [77:48] disciples you have the spirit moving a individual to go teach another [77:53] individual watch this keep going [77:58] and Philip ran there to him and heard him read the prophet [78:04] Isaiah and said understandest thou what thou readest right so he ran into him in [78:09] the chair he like y yo you know what you're reading what the man say and he [78:15] said how can I except some man should guide [78:21] me right his mindset is already like how am I supposed to understand this me [78:26] listen he not ashamed he not trying to pretend like he know it all he saying [78:32] how would you expect Zar you're not on the phone are you he said how would you expect me to [78:40] understand this unless somebody taught it to me unless somebody broke it down to me [78:47] and helped me understand it how would you even expect me to know what I'm [78:52] reading that is the expectation that we should have is that somebody should have [78:57] to break this stuff down to us now if you ain't got somebody to break it down [79:04] right if you find yourself in a position where it's like Noah he's a sinner I'm not gonna listen to him this man be [79:11] cussing and L ain't gonna listen to him you know what I'm saying I know he teaching it wrong I ain't gonna listen to him then it is better for you to read [79:19] the book because you have to understand also the people who wrote This Book are teaching you they wrote it down to teach [79:26] you so don't make it so it's not the same it's not the same when when we're reading the New Testament it is teaching [79:35] right what we're reading in the New Testament is going back and taking the scriptures that were Mysteries and then [79:40] they try to bring understanding so just by reading the the epistle letters you are being taught by someone the most [79:47] high God will and can move through that teaching that's exactly how this thing is set up right it's set up so don't [79:54] don't think that you can't just read this book and get an understanding but also don't think that if you don't [80:00] understand it after reading the book that a man of God is not supposed to come to you and talk to you and when the [80:06] man of God is talking to you you need to consider it right you need to consider it you [80:12] need to weigh it and say is what he's saying correct or not because that could be the answer to your prayers while you [80:19] sitting there praying like God I just I just want you to reveal yourself to me and help me understand the scripture [80:26] help me understand what I'm reading because I really find it difficult man of God pop up to you like hey you [80:32] understand what you reading you turn around to him like oh well you know God gives me all understanding shut your [80:37] darn butt up you just got done praying ask for understanding but it be that Pride [80:45] that's in people we don't want to we don't want to say we need help we don't want to get nobody the the idea that [80:50] they know more than us or anything that stuff is silly if you need help ask for it and get it ask the question challenge [80:58] the brother or a sister that's teaching challenge me let's talk about it let's [81:03] figure it out right because at the end of the day every one of us has to come in the same [81:09] way every one of us we all got to come in the exact same way watch what the book say keep [81:20] going and he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him in the place of the scripture which he read was [81:26] this he was led as the SLE sheep to the slaughter and like a lamb dumb before his Shearer so opened he not his mouth [81:33] in his humiliation his judgment was taken away and who shall declare his generation for the life is taken from [81:39] the Earth from his for his life is taken from the earth and the unic answered Philip and said I pray thee of whom [81:44] speaketh the Prophet this of himself or some other [81:50] man so so now the man he said listen so who is he talking about is he talking talking about himself or is he talking [81:56] about some you know what I'm saying some other other person right and if y'all remember if y'all those those that are [82:03] you know what I'm saying those that that that's that's reading the Bible in the year a lot of the people that's reading in our Bible group they ask these same [82:10] type of questions when we reading through the scripture we reading through the prophets they be like okay so hold [82:15] on is this talking about yahua or is this one talking about is he talking about itself here or is this talking about this person is this talking about [82:22] because that is the n like this stuff is normal I I want I just want y'all to [82:28] understand that when y'all read through this scripture and when y'all are H having discussions with people and when [82:33] y'all having debates or arguments none of this stuff is new right the same [82:38] feelings that we have the same thoughts that we have it's the same thing that was going on 2,000 years ago right [82:46] because this is how it set up the most high God designed it to be this way [82:51] right so when you don't understand the scripture don't look at it like that's abnormal like you're unnatural like like [82:58] the most high God hasn't done something for you or you don't have it in your heart to become a disciple one day like [83:04] don't look at it that way look at it as oh this is the same obstacle that every [83:09] person that is going to be in the Kingdom had to go through every single person that is [83:15] going to end up in the Kingdom had to pass this step this first test the first test is what the heck am I reading [83:25] who is this talking about is this talking about him like is that Isaiah talking about himself or is Isaiah talking about some other man right and [83:32] watch what philli [83:40] do then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same scripture and preached unto him yahua and as they went on their [83:46] way they came into a certain water so hold on so I just want y'all to understand what that mean he said he he [83:52] began at this same place and started to preach to him yahua so it's not giving the details but what I imagine Philip is [84:00] doing oh he lighting his butt up he said okay so you see what point he preached the gospel to him and was trying to explain to him exactly how this thing play out right [85:02] and when he heard it uh when he heard it you know what I'm [85:07] saying let's see what he said you still there t yeah okay just making [85:16] sure keep going watch [85:21] this and and that's they went on their way they came to a certain water and the unic said see here is water what hinders [85:28] me from being baptized right so he taught him about the baptism he taught him everything that was required he just [85:35] went he did gave him the rundown of everything from starting right there at Isaiah right and then when the man saw [85:42] water notice Philip didn't come to him saying you need to be baptized he just [85:47] told him what's required it is required for everybody to be back he didn't try to a lot of these Christians be begging [85:53] be won't you come won't you come now brother sister you came and sat down do you accept Jesus Christ in your heart as [86:00] your lord and savior all right but then I want you to get baptized next Sunday you think you ready for that no that's [86:07] not what he did what he said is look this what's required of all men you know what I'm saying repent from all sin that [86:13] lead to death right um love your neighbor as yourself love the most high God and you got to get baptized so then [86:19] a man walking by and he see some they driving by a little river a little Lake he looking like put some water right [86:25] there what's preventing me from getting baptized right now watch [86:40] this you there he said if oh my bad and philli [86:46] said if thou believe with all thine heart thou May and he answered and said I believe that yahu the Messiah is the [86:52] Son of God and he commanded The Chariot to stand still and they went down both into water both Philip and the unic and [86:59] they Bap and he baptized them when they were come up out of the water the spirit of the spirit of Yahweh caught away [87:05] Phillip and the unic saw him no more and went on his way rejoicing but Philip was found at AOS aotus and passing through [87:15] he pre and passing through he preached in all the cities till he came to cesaria right so then he went on to [87:21] cesaria so now Phillip he's gone all the way from Jerusalem into [87:28] ciceria right and ciceria I think is like like in uh like in siden you know [87:35] what I'm saying it's like way it's way up North but it's no longer in Israel he's no longer in Israel right so he's [87:41] far far far away from home but part of part of the reason why this is happening is because people like Paul or Saul is [87:48] chasing him out of Jerusalem so he's just moving along and as he moves along [87:54] he's teaching people the gospel he running into somebody else teaching them the gospel these are Gentiles these are [87:59] not people from Israel he just these are people that now now don't just don't [88:04] just it's very you gotta you got to be very precise although these are Gentiles [88:09] and although these are not people from our nation you look at this example this is [88:15] one person who was already reading the scripture so it ain't like he just running into random random people on the [88:22] street and he telling them hey hey please believe in yahua you know what I'm saying he ain't handing out [88:28] pamphlets to random people that's drunk walking down on the Strip right what he's doing is he's [88:34] identifying people who are interested in the most high God people who are asking questions about what he believes and [88:40] what he what he's saying people who are asking questions about the most high God themselves who's reading this scripture [88:47] like man I don't know what this means right so when you look at this [88:53] that is what's driving him to talk to these different people and as he talks to him he shares Spirit God a moving on [88:59] and he made his way all the way to ciceria is that the end of this chapter yeah that's the end all right so [89:07] in the next chapter we not g we not gonna start it now because the next chapter it's gonna get you back to Saul [89:13] so Saul is gonna have a vision and Saul like Saul we G to talk a little bit [89:19] about Saul's history and his past but Saul who later becomes known as Paul [89:25] right he's going to end up having a vision that's going to open him up you [89:30] know what I'm saying once he has a vision yahua is going to present himself to him [89:36] directly right in a special way and that's gon to open up his understanding so we'll talk about that but then [89:42] remember Philip is also in ciceria so then we're going to get back to Peter [89:48] who also ends up coming to ceria later right so we'll talk about that
