And the Anger of the LORD Was Kindled Against Uzza

Summary

Is a good intention enough before Yahuah? In this Sabbath lesson from Psalm 5 and Mark 7, we learn that foolishness defiles a man just like other sins, and the death of Uzza in 1 Chronicles 13 shows that God judges what we should have known and what we did, not only what we meant. Through Jeremiah 17, you’ll see that the heart is deceitful above all things, so our choices and the fruit they bear reveal who we really are. Finally, 2 Peter 1, Mark 9, Luke 10 and Titus 2 teach us to add virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and love to our faith, to let God correct us patiently, and to let His grace teach us to deny ungodliness in this present world.
