[00:02] Sabbath peace. Sabbath peace. It's another opportunity for us to come together and hear and learn of the word [00:07] of truth that's given to us by the most high God. All honor goes to the father through the [00:12] uh son. How it go? All honor goes to the father through the son. [00:18] Uh I don't know. Yeah. What come after that? [00:24] That's crazy. Honor, all honor goes to the father [00:29] through the son. Why is there somebody help me out? [00:35] Somebody in the chat. That's crazy. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Honor goes to the father. Where my one of my [00:40] boys at so they can help me out cuz I definitely don't uh on the day of Hey, who uh who can help me out? Who is that? [00:47] A what? Come after to the father from the son. To the all honor goes to the father [00:54] through the son. What come what come out of that [00:59] as a as a gift for grace through faith better works. We definitely skip [01:04] something. Let's start all over. Let me see. Sabbath peace. Yeah. Yeah. Sit down. It's another opportunity for us to [01:10] come together and hear and learn from the most high God. All honor goes to the father through the son [01:15] whose name is Yahushua. In him lies the only hope for salvation. We know that it [01:20] is obtained by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast, and given freely as a gift to all who obey [01:26] him. We understand that if you do not obey him, it is made manifest or made obvious that you do not believe. In this [01:33] state, you should expect no good thing from the most high. However, anything you do get, whether it be a gift of [01:38] tongues, a gift of prophecy, or any supernatural experience that you may have, it can and it will be used against [01:44] you in the day of judgment. With that said, peace to the saints that are in the room, to the saints that are watching on the camera, to the saints on [01:50] the chat, to the saints scattered around the world that we don't know about, but no peace to the wicked. The only thing we say to them is repent that they might [02:00] live. What we talked about last week, we [02:05] finished out the book of Romans, right? Remember the book of Romans was kind of, you know, at the very end of it, right? [02:11] was talking to us about the difference between the Gentile and the Hebrew and the different advantages and and [02:16] people's route to get in and how you have to be obedient and um and how your [02:22] behavior has to line up and how you have to mark the brethren that's not obeying and avoid them. Right? So, we given all [02:29] types of advice from Paul about how we should behave and how we should carry ourselves. So, now that we finished the [02:36] book of Romans, we're about to get back into Acts. Remember, if y'all remember [02:41] several weeks ago, whole bunch of weeks ago, right, we left off in Acts and we started to read the letters that he [02:48] wrote to all the folks. Yeah. That um all the folks that all the different towns that he was in or all the [02:54] different towns that he visited or the people that he knew. So now we about to pick up in the book of Acts. We going to [03:00] start in Acts chapter 20 verse one. This is Acts 20 [03:06] verse one. Acts chapter 20 verse 1. [03:25] And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him his the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go to [03:32] Macedonia. And when he had gone over those parts and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece. And [03:38] there about three months. And when the Jews laid weight for him, as he was about to sail to Syria, he purposed to [03:45] return through Macedonia. And there accompanied him into Asia. So, [03:50] so and Berea and of the Thessalon Thessalonians, [03:56] Aristoarkus and Sakundas and Gaes and Derby in Timoththeus and a and of Asia, [04:03] Taich Taichus and Tapimus. [04:08] These going before terried for us at Trrowas. And we sailed away from [04:13] Philippi after the days of unleven bread, and came unto the unto Troas in five days where we abode seven days. And [04:22] upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread on what day of the week? On the first [04:27] day of the week, book say, and then upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together and break bread, [04:32] what happened? Paul preached unto them ready to depart [04:37] on the tomorrow and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber where they [04:44] were gathered together. And there sat in a window a certain young man named Uchas. Now look right there. The first [04:52] day of the week he preaching a word and then people are gathered around to hear him. So what does a Christian see? A [04:59] Christian just read church on Sunday. Right? But let's keep reading because [05:05] this is where they go. You ask a Christian, why do you keep, you know what I'm saying? Why do you why why do y'all have church on Sunday? They g this [05:11] one of the places they gonna take you to and be like, see Paul on the first day of the week, he was preaching the word. That's what we do. The same thing Paul [05:16] did. Let's see what happened. Watch this. Being fallen in a deep sleep. And [05:21] as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep and fell from the third loft and was taken up dead. [05:31] And Paul went down and fell on him, and embracing him, said, "Trouble not yourselves, for his life is in him." And [05:37] when he therefore was come up again, he had breaken broken bread and eaten and talked a long while, even till break of [05:43] day. So he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted. And we went before to [05:50] ship and sailed into Asos there intending to take in take in Paul for so [05:56] had he appointed minding himself to go a foot. And when he met with us at Asos we [06:01] took him in and he and came to Methylene. Right? So now listen Paul we [06:07] got one example of Paul on the first day of the week which is Sunday. Right? So we got one example of Paul on Sunday [06:16] preaching the word. And if you let one of these Christians tell it, they that [06:21] is why everywhere around the country, every Sunday, everybody goes to church [06:27] on Sunday because they got one example from Paul of him preaching the word on a Sunday, right? So you got to get him [06:34] that, right? You got one example of Paul preaching word on a Sunday. Okay, keep going. Let's see what else. Let's see [06:40] what other examples we can pull out of the book. And we sailed from there and came the next day over against Chios. [06:45] And the next day we arrived at S Samos and terried at Trogillium. And the next [06:51] day we came to Militus. For Paul had determined to sail to Ephesus because he would not spend the time in Asia. For he [06:58] hasted if it were he hasted if it were possible to do what? For him to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. [07:05] So now he said it's most important for him to get back to the feast I mean get [07:12] back to Jerusalem get back home for the feast of weeks. So he kept the feast of [07:17] weeks. When was the last time you seen the Christian doing that and we got multiple examples of the [07:23] feast of weeks. The whole book tell us about the feast of weeks but a Christian don't adopt that one. Instead the [07:30] Christian adopt the Sunday because it's the first day of the week. But if they knew the law, they would understand why [07:35] he called out the first day of the week. Oh, we got grab um [07:41] uh Leviticus chapter 23. It's Leviticus chapter 23. We going to try to understand why [07:48] the first day of the week is important. It's Leviticus chapter 23:14. After that, we going to first Corinthians. [07:58] So people people will play games with the book, right? The man who can handle the book and [08:05] teach it appropriately and rightly divide it is good, right? However, [08:10] there's a lot of people that will give you little pieces and they'll make it look like they rightly dividing the [08:16] word. But they'll give you a little piece of the word that say, "Look, here it is. First day of the week, Andy preaching word. Paul did it, so that's [08:23] why we doing it." But they don't give you They going to stop reading right there. They never going to teach you the whole book. There's a lot of people. One [08:30] thing, one thing I I I I glory in the most high God is we will open up any [08:35] page of this Bible that you want and we will read it all the way through and teach from it all the way through. [08:41] There's a lot of people that won't touch. There's certain pages, certain books, certain they won't touch it [08:47] because it goes against they don't know how to explain it. They know it sound crazy with the with the crazy stuff that [08:53] they teach. They know it contradict. So they don't they don't even touch it. We don't have to do that. There's nothing [08:58] that I'm afraid of in this book. Everything in this book is to help me, [09:05] right? Nothing that we afraid of in this book because it's all it's all true. [09:11] Watch this. This is uh Leviticus chapter 23. Give me verse 16. I mean verse 14. [09:18] And ye shall eat neither bread nor parched corn nor green ears until the self-same day that you have brought an offering unto your God. It shall be a [09:25] statute forever throughout your generations and all your dwellings. Right? So listen, after after the [09:30] Passover, the book says, listen, you can't even eat any meat until you bring [09:38] an offering. I mean, I'm sorry, eat any bread. Yeah. Until you bring an offering [09:43] to the most high God. So during the week of the Passover, you had the feast of uh [09:49] the uh the uh what's it called? Unle bread. the first fruit sheath waiver, [09:55] right? You had to make sure that you brought an offering on that first fruit sheath waiver or else your butt wasn't [10:01] eating nothing, right? Then after you had that, then you good. But watch what happened after [10:07] this. And ye shall count unto you from tomorrow after the Sabbath. What's [10:14] tomorrow after the Sabbath? If it's if it's Sabbath right now and I say tomorrow, what day is that going to be? [10:21] What's the day after the Sabbath? The first day of the week. First day of the week. It's going to be a Sunday, right? [10:27] So now he's telling you count do what? From Sunday. On tomorrow after the seventh Sabbath, ye shall number 50 days [10:34] and shall offer a new meat offering unto Yahweh. So he told you count 50 days, [10:40] right? Count seven weeks from which day? The day after the Sabbath on that's a [10:47] Sunday. So, sure, you're right. Paul was preaching on a Sunday. But why would [10:53] they call that out? Because the law tell us to mark the Sundays and count them 50 days. You [11:01] count seven Sabbaths from that Sunday. So, guess what that's going to lead you to? Okay, one se one Sabbath to the next [11:07] one, it's going to be Sunday again. Then the next one, it's going to be Sunday again. Then it's going to be Sunday. So [11:13] you're marking the seven and you say, "Okay, this is one, two, three, all on [11:18] Sundays." That's why he's That's why he preaching on the Sunday. That's why they called it out. He might have been [11:23] preaching any old day. It's only relevant because he's working up to the feast of weeks. Keep watching. Keep [11:30] going. You shall bring out your habitations two [11:35] wave loaves of two tenth deals. They shall be a fine flower. They shall be taken with levan. They are the first [11:41] fruits of Yahweh. And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, [11:46] one bull and two rams. They shall be for a burnt offering unto Yahweh and their [11:53] food offering and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire of sweet savor unto Yahweh. That's right. Then [11:59] you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace [12:04] offerings. See, these are the offerings that we were commanded to have as part of our feast. You not even really [12:09] keeping the feast until you until you have these offerings, right? The stuff we do, we keep it in the order of the [12:15] feast, right? We kind of keep the spirit of the feast. But we not really keeping the feast until we have these offerings, [12:20] right? Which means you got to have you got to have an altar, right? And as soon as you got an altar, that mean you got to have a priest. [12:29] I can't build my own altar and call myself keeping this feast. That's there's some brothers over in Israel [12:35] right now. They call yourself keeping the feast and they built their own offer altar. That's not what it say. Keep going. Watch this. [12:42] And the priest shall wave them. And the who? The priest shall wave them that got that. You know what I'm saying? What I [12:47] look like? You know what? I'mma keep it. We don't know who the priest is, but I'mma build my own altar. Is it lawful to build your own altar? Yeah. You just [12:54] can't put no chisel to it. I can build my own. That's lawful. You ain't broke. Look, you ain't broke no law. You take [13:00] you a couple rocks, set them down, put a fire up under it. Sometimes you get on you get on YouTube and they'll show you [13:06] these dudes that be going out in the wilderness and then they'll cook nice. They be it was the one white dude. He [13:12] had a nice thick tomahawk. Put that thing on a rock with a fire up under that thing and he fried that thing up. I [13:18] looked at that. I looked at that might be the best darn tomahawk I' ever seen in my darn life. Right. But he cooked it [13:23] on the rock. But when I saw that I was looking like you know what that's how our ancestors used to do the sacrifices. [13:30] They would just put a bunch of fire underneath a bunch of rocks and then that was a altar for us. You ain't broke [13:36] no law if you build an altar like that. That's law today. Right now, outside of [13:42] American law, if I was authorized to slaughter an animal and and and [13:48] sacrifice it, it's lawful for any one of us. A lot of these people don't understand our law. They don't [13:54] understand nothing about what Yahosua doing. They looking like, "What a sacrificial law done away with." Show me [13:59] one time in a book where it talks to you about a sacrificial law. People would just make stuff up, but [14:06] they don't understand it. It's lawful for you, me, anybody who keeps the law to to just create an altar out of rock [14:14] now. You can't put no chisel to it. Can't put no chisel. Don't be trying to You know what I'm saying? Don't be trying to shape nothing and fizzle it out now. You got to do just plain rocks, [14:22] plain earth. Put your little fire under it and then you can sacrifice it. That's lawful today, right now in 2025. That is [14:29] lawful for you to do. And you still not keeping the feast. You can get you [14:35] goats. How what you have to go back over what we have to give? Then you shall sacrifice one kid or the goats. Okay. So [14:41] now let me go to Walmart. Give me a goat. Y'all ain't got no goat. Two lambs in the first year for sacrifice. Where can I give me a little lamb? Let me go [14:47] to the butcher. Give me a little lamb. Yeah, but you don't know if it's in the first year either. Let me I mean, let's [14:52] say you do though. Maybe you maybe you got a butcher that tell you n this one fresh out. You hear what I'm talking [14:57] about. This one in the first year he ain't even a year old yet. Right. So you take him you taking him a rocking him [15:03] like a little dog cuz you American. You ain't never seen no darn lamb. You walking him like a little dog. Get your butt over here yanking on him. He the [15:10] the difference between a lamb and a dog. The lamb want to follow you. You supposed to lead the lamb. The dog the [15:17] dog is going to run away. You know what I'm saying? You kind of chasing the dog. You holding pulling it. They don't know the difference. So you got your darn [15:24] lamb and you yanking them like why you why you way back there? Get your butt up there trying to do it like a dog would do. So you get you a lamb. It's in the [15:31] first year then what else? A kid with a goat and a lamb and the priest shall wave it the first [15:38] year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. So now look, I take these and I'm like I want to make this sacrifice but I ain't [15:46] got no priest. The books ain't a priest shall wave it. But I, you know, I'm rebellious. I look at it and be like, I can do this myself. I ain't got no [15:52] priest. So then I slaughter my lamb. I slaughter my kid of the goat. Just take [15:58] him right by the neck. Hang them upside down. Let the blood spill out. Cuz that's our law. Let the blood spill out of them, right? Hang them right upside [16:04] down. Then I slam on the ground. Boom. Slice him open. I light the fire on my [16:09] rocks. You know what I'm saying? Make my altar. And I cook that boy just like that. Burnt offering just like that. [16:14] Like let it burn all the way up. Sweet savor to the most high God. Guess what I just did? Made a sacrifice. I did. I [16:23] made a sacrifice. Guess what I didn't do? I didn't keep the feast of weeks, [16:29] right? I did not keep the feast of weeks because the feast of weeks say, "Who shall wave them?" The priest shall wave [16:35] them. I got that. Keep going. With the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yahweh with two lambs [16:42] with the two lambs and they shall be holy to Yahweh for the priest. And you shall proclaim on the self-same day that [16:47] it may be a holy convocation unto you. You shall do no work therein. It shall be a statute forever in all your [16:52] dwellings throughout your generation. And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean riddance [16:58] of the corners of thy field while thy when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest. Thou [17:04] shalt leave them unto the poor and to the stranger. I am Yahweh your God. [17:11] Look, so the sister, she asked the question. She said, she said, "What about Reuben?" Right? What about Reuben [17:16] and uh and Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh when they built an altar? Right? Y'all remember they built an [17:23] altar? Where is that? You know where that is? In Joshua. It's going to be Joshua, but it's going to be at the end. [17:29] Maybe the beginning of No, it ain't the end, huh? It's It's when they rest. It's not the Yeah, it's like after they after [17:35] they fought or whatever. But that isn't unlawful. [17:44] Okay. Well, let's let's get this first. Grab uh grab Exodus chapter 20. So, let's get what the law is first because [17:50] if we going if we going to try to if we going to try to judge a situation, the first thing we have to do is refamiliarize ourselves with our law. [17:57] This is good though. I like what I like for us to apply law. You know what I'm [18:02] saying? Right now, we putting together the course on the website. We putting together the course for the Bible in the [18:08] year. We at week 15 right now, right? So every week we put together a whole course. It got videos. It got [18:14] everything. So that one day anybody who want to learn the book, they can go through the whole thing. They can take quizzes, all that. Right. Next quiz that [18:22] we I mean the next thing we going to do is we going to focus on the law. The next course we going to put together, y'all willing? It's going to focus on [18:27] the law. And it's going to be about making the law applicable. We going to put you in the quizzes. We going to put you we going we going to give you [18:33] situational if this happens and this happens, you know what I'm saying? What law applies. You know what I'm saying? That way we can truly understand how to [18:40] apply the law. Right? So let's look at it. This is Exodus chapter 20. I probably won't verse what 20. [18:47] What did you say? Verse 20. You just copy me. Yeah. I said that don't count. What you think? Aariah. You was gonna [18:54] say 20 without me saying it. All right. I didn't know. No, I feel like you knew. [19:00] No, I feel like you knew. Ria say 21. [19:06] No, it definitely ain't 10. It definitely ain't 10. You know what I'm talking about? [19:18] You see it? Is it 20? Uh, and Moses said unto the people, "Fear not, for God has come to prove you that his fear may be [19:25] before your face." No, jump down after that. It get right back into commandments after that. See, [19:31] uh, an altar of earth you shall make unto me. Yeah, that's the one I want. This is uh Exodus chapter 20 verse what? [19:38] 24. This is Exodus chapter 20 verse 24. Watch what the book say. [19:43] An altar of earth you shall make unto me and shall sacrifice thereon your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your [19:49] sheep and your oxen in all places where I record my name, I will come unto you and I will bless you. [19:56] And if you will make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hune stone. For if you lift up thy tool upon [20:01] it, you have polluted it. Neither shall you go up by steps unto mine altar that [20:07] thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. Right? So we got two commandments here that we can't do. If we make a altar, we [20:15] cannot chisel it. We can't bring our tool against our altar. So in other words, we can't build an altar of a [20:23] structure. We have to use earth. We have to use regular stones and just place them. We can't try to fasten them [20:28] together. Can't try to put a nail through it. We can't use no tools. We just got to take it and set the altar up [20:34] with stones. Okay. Now, he said if we do it, it's defiled. As soon as we put [20:41] something on it, it's defiled. And if it's defiled, it can't be used for what? Sacrifice. Can't be used for sacrifices. [20:47] Right? Now, let's judge this situation. This is uh Joshua chapter 22. [20:56] It's Joshua chapter 22. Give me verse uh 9. [21:02] You always trying to say what I'mma say. Don't try to make it look like you be saying what I'm saying. This is Joshua [21:07] chapter 22 verse verse nine. And the children of Reuben and the children of [21:13] Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned. And so the sister asked she said she and she spotted cuz the look [21:20] the sister we reading through the Bible in a year. Every year we turn around we read it again. So this stuff the sister [21:26] know off the top of her head she looking like oh no that listen I remember our [21:32] brethren our ancestors built an altar. So she recalling it right in her mind, right? The Most High Yah got it right on [21:38] the edge of her brain like, "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. If we can't build an altar, didn't our our [21:44] ancestor do that?" Right? So now we looking at it and she nailed it, right? Is Reuben is Gad and the half tribe of [21:51] Manasseh just like her question said. Watch this. Keep going. And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned and [21:58] departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan to go into the country of Gilead [22:03] to the land of their possession, where they were possessed, where they were possessed according to the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Moses. And when [22:10] they came into the borders of Jordan that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built [22:16] there an altar by Jordan, a greater a great altar to see to see to. And the [22:21] children of Israel heard say, "Behold, the children of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh built an offer against the land of Canaan in the [22:28] borders of Jordan at the passage of the children of Israel." Look, so listen, Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of [22:35] Manasseh, they walking back cuz you remember they just got done fighting. They remember Moses made them made them [22:41] agree, we going to step out and we going to fight. We going to go with y'all before we go rested our land cuz they [22:46] got their land first. So the condition of getting their land first was like, "Okay, look, y'all can have this land, [22:52] but y'all still got to fight. Don't be thinking y'all can y'all can chill while everybody else fighting." So they said, [22:57] "Okay, we fighting." They get a little bit of rest. They looking like, "Okay, well, it's time for us to go home." They go home. They set up a altar. They build [23:04] an altar. That means they use tools, right? So they built a altar, a great [23:09] big altar, right? And then walked away from it. And then the book said, "Who heard about it? [23:17] And Moses, Moses, remember Moses couldn't go into the land. Remember who [23:23] was who who took Moses's place? That's right. We read about [23:31] uh who say who of Israel heard say so now the other children of Israel heard [23:36] about it and they heard about the altar and how did they react to this? And when [23:41] the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh to go up to war against him. [23:48] Right? They were ready to go to war with him. Why? And the children of Israel sent up the [23:54] children of Reuben and Gad, the half tribe of Nasse, into the land of Gide Phineas, and the son of Eleazar the [24:00] priest. And they got the priest involved. Why? Because they know that you weren't [24:06] supposed to build an altar. If you build a altar and you put your [24:12] tools on it, it's profane. It's defiled. You can't do no sacrifices on that. So they looking like, man, y'all already [24:18] rebel against God. So they ready to go to war with them immediately. They just got done roaring. They got they land. [24:24] They heard about this altar. All right, mount up. Get these boys. Look, come on. They already going away. Moses been [24:30] telling them, remember Moses told them, man, look, y'all going to get right in that land and y'all going to rebel [24:35] against God. I know. I hear y'all talking about y'all love God and all that, but y'all going to rebel against God as soon as you get in the land. So [24:40] they sensitive about it. They looking at it like, "Oh, they all really come on. [24:46] Let's get them. We not playing that. We just got in the land. We not about to get kicked out of this land." So they serious. They about to go get them, [24:52] right? Cuz they understood that you are not supposed to build a altar and think you going to do sacrifices on it. Let's [24:58] see. Watch this. and with him 10 princes of each chief house, a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel. And each one [25:04] was a head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel. And they came unto the children of Reuben and the [25:09] children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh unto the land of Gilead. And they spake with them, saying, Thus says [25:15] the whole congregation of Yahweh, what trespass is this that you have committed? What what what trespass is [25:21] this that you have committed? A trespass is a sin. So they calling them out and they saying, you committed a sin, right? [25:27] Watch this. Keep going. against the God of Israel to turn away this day from following Yahweh and that you have built [25:32] you an altar that you might rebel this day against Yahweh. They thought them building that altar was rebellion to [25:39] God. Right? And that's exactly what our law say. Keep going. Watch this. Is the [25:44] iniquity of por too little for us from which we are not cleansed until this day? Although there was a plague in the [25:50] congregation of Yahweh. But that ye must turn away this day from following Yahweh. And it will be, seeing you rebel [25:57] today against Yahweh, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel. Notwithstanding, [26:03] if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over to the land of possession of Yahweh, wherein [26:09] Yahweh's tabernacle dwells, and take possession among us. But rebel not against Yahweh, nor rebel against us, in [26:15] building you an altar besides the altar of Yahweh our God. Mhm. Did not Achen the son of Zer commit a trespass in the [26:21] occurs, and wrath fell on the congregation of Israel? And that man perished, not alone in his iniquity. [26:27] Then the children of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh answered and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel, this how they responded. Watch [26:33] this. Yahweh, Yahwh, God of gods. Yahwh, God of gods. He knows. And Israel, he [26:40] shall know. If it be in rebellion or if in transgression against Yahweh, except us not this day. Save us not this day [26:48] that we have built us an altar to turn from following Yahweh or to offer thereon burnt offerings or meat [26:54] offerings or to offer peace offerings thereon. Let Yahweh himself require it. Right? So you see what he just said. He [27:01] said, "Listen, if y'all think we are about to use this altar to do [27:06] sacrifices, then let whatever come to us come to us. We'll take the punishment is basically [27:12] what he's saying, right? We'll take the punishment." If y'all thought we was about to use this altar to do [27:17] sacrifices. So in other words, he's saying we built the altar, but we're not using it for [27:23] sacrifices. Watch what he say next. And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying in time come your [27:29] children might speak until our children, saying, "What have you to do with Yahweh, God of Israel? For Yahweh has [27:34] made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad? Ye have no part in Yahweh. So shall [27:41] your children make our children cease from fearing the Lord. Therefore, we said, "Let us now prepare to build us an [27:47] altar, not for burnt offering, nor sacrifice." Not for what? Burnt offering nor sacrifice, but that it may be a [27:53] witness between us and you and our generations after us, that we might do the service of Yahweh before him with [27:59] our burnt offerings and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, that your children may not say to our children in time to come, ye have no [28:06] part in the Lord. Right? So, now the purpose of their altar was really just a relic, right? It's just a witness, a [28:13] monument, right? is a monument. They didn't want to use it for sacrifices cuz they knew to use it for that reason it [28:19] would be against the law. Right? So that goes back to we can build an altar [28:25] according to our law. According to Exodus 20:4, we can build an altar but [28:31] we can't bring no tool against it. Right? If we bring a tool against it, [28:36] then it's not fit for sacrifices. Right? Let's go back. This is uh 1 [28:43] Corinthians chapter 16 verse1. I'm about to show y'all something. This 1 [28:48] Corinthians chapter 16 verse one [28:54] because we think we think sometimes these these Israelites they be thinking they keeping the law. [29:00] They be thinking, "Oh no, it's the it's the feast of weeks. You know what I'm saying? Now I got to you know what I'm saying? Now I got to keep." You're not [29:05] keeping. You didn't do no sacrifice. How you keeping the feast of weeks? or your butt did do a sacrifice and you did it [29:10] on a on an altar that's not appropriate or you did it on an altar that's appropriate and it wasn't no priest. All [29:18] these things are against the law, right? You've offended the law at any point in the in any point of what I just said. So [29:25] once you know that, then you know you not keeping the law, right? It's important to understand what Paul was [29:31] doing. Paul was keeping the law. Why? because when he was alive, there's a [29:37] temple, there's a priesthood, right? So that's why back in uh Acts chapter 20, [29:44] it said that he was making haste, making every effort to get back in Jerusalem [29:50] for the feast of weeks. They call it Pentecost, but for the feast of weeks. Pentecost just mean 50 50 days, right? [29:56] And that's because our law tell us to count seven weeks, 50 days. So we call it the feast of weeks according to um [30:03] according to our law. Right? So now he's trying to get back for the feast of weeks. This is why the law tells us to [30:11] count from Sunday from Sunday to Sunday, right? Count the Sabbath. So that means [30:17] that you're counting and you're landing on Sunday. This is why it called out the first day of the week and called it out Sunday. But we going to prove that cuz [30:24] we going to go to 1 Corinthians chapter uh 16 verse 1 and we going to see the [30:29] exact same pattern. Watch this now. Concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the [30:34] congregation of Galatia, even so do you. Upon the first day of the week, let everyone upon the what? The first day of [30:40] the week, let every one of you lay by him in store as God has prospered him that there be no gatherings when I come. [30:46] Right? So now this is again where Christians are taking you and be like, see brother, let me show you this [30:51] another example. You thought I only had one example of the first day of the week. I can show you in another place [30:57] where Paul is talking about the first day of the week. Brother, we supposed to be going to church on Sunday. That's how [31:02] they sound, right? So then you got to come back to him. You got to say, "Okay, brother, keep reading. Keep going." And [31:09] when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to you to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. [31:16] Unto where? Jerusalem. So wait a minute. On the first day of the week, he told you to set to set aside your resources. [31:23] And then he said, "I'mma send somebody and I'mma send somebody to go get all your stuff that you set aside and take [31:29] it where?" To Jerusalem. I can't understand. Why would you want to take it to Jerusalem? Let's see. Keep [31:35] reading. And if it be meat that I go also, they shall go with me. Uh-huh. Now I will come unto you when I shall pass [31:40] through Macedonia, for I do pass through Macedonia. And what happen? And it may be that I will abide, yay, and winter. I [31:47] will abide, yay, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey, whethersoever I go. And where you going [31:53] to go? For I will not see you now, by the way, but I trust to tar a while with you, if the Lord permit. Uhhuh. But I [32:00] will tar at Ephesus until Pentecost. He said, I will tarry at Ephesus until when? The feast of weeks. Until the [32:07] feast of weeks. So yet again, we got two the two examples that they going to use [32:12] for Paul talking about some Sunday. Both examples is really talking about the [32:17] feast of weeks. And every darn Sunday in America, you [32:23] got Christians at church, but you ain't got nobody keeping the feast of weeks or the Sabbath or the Sabbath. They are [32:30] hypocrites. These people are hypocrites. You didn't read that and say, "Oh, we supposed to [32:37] go to church on Sunday." Stop that darn lying. You went to the Bible. You was already going to church on Sunday and [32:42] then you looked in the B Bible to try to justify your wickedness. That's crazy. Just open the book and be [32:49] honest. Be open the book and be fair. If that one verse made you go to church [32:54] on Sunday, then surely seeing Pentecost should have made you keep the uh feast of weeks. But of course, that's not [33:01] going to happen because you're a hypocrite. Keep going. Uh our uh let's jump back over to uh where we at? Acts. Acts [33:09] chapter 20. It's Acts chapter 20 verse 16. [33:24] Sister Tia said you sound quiet behind my screaming. [33:30] I guess I got to talk louder. For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus because he would not spend the [33:36] time in Asia. For he hasted if it were possible for him to be at Jerusalem on the day of the feast of weeks. And from [33:42] Mitus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the congregation. And when they were come to him, he said unto [33:48] them, "Ye know from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, serving [33:55] Yahweh with all humility of mine, and with many tears and temptations, which befell me by the lying and weight of the [34:03] Jews, and how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you," but have [34:08] showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, testifying both of the Jews and also of [34:14] the Greeks, repentance toward God, in faith toward our master Yahosua the Messiah. And now behold, I go bound in [34:20] the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there, except that the Holy Spirit witness in [34:27] every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. Right? So he's saying the Holy Spirit witness in every [34:34] city that bonds in affliction awaits him there. Right? So in other words, you [34:39] remember we talked about how how the most high God can manifest himself to people in different ways. And we talk [34:46] about because of that reason, the theory of like there's a trinity, there's a holy trinity and all the stuff that [34:52] Christians be talking about, that's a false idea, right? Because we know that yeah, the most high God can represent [34:59] himself as the Holy Spirit, right? He can also represent himself as in the [35:04] flesh as the son, right? He can also represent himself as the invisible [35:09] father. He can also represent himself as a burning bush. He can also represent himself as a captain of Yahweh's host. [35:17] He can also represent himself as three uh one of three men that that is about [35:23] to prepare to take down Sodom. He can also represent himself as a cool breeze [35:28] in the Garden of Eden, right? Or a voice in the in the uh in the Garden of Eden, [35:34] right? So, there's many ways throughout the the scripture that he's represented himself. One of the consistent ways is [35:41] the Holy Spirit. So whenever you hear the Holy Spirit, that means that he's representing himself in a way of a [35:48] vision or a dream, right? The Holy Spirit just means that someone had a [35:54] vision or a dream. That's prophecy. Whenever the book talk about the Holy [35:59] Spirit, you get the Holy Ghost, you get the Holy Spirit, it's talking about prophecy, some form of prophecy. And [36:05] there's different forms of prophecy, right? There's prophecy that causes you to speak in tongues. There's prophecy that cause you to vocalize something [36:12] audible, something that makes sense. But no matter what, these are all forms of prophecy. These are all gifts that come [36:18] from the Holy Spirit. So what what what Paul is saying right now, he's saying in every city I've been going to, the Holy [36:26] Spirit is telling me that I am going to go to get locked up when I go to [36:31] Jerusalem. Right? He's basically the Holy Spirit is telling him I'm going to [36:36] jail when I go to Jerusalem. Right. So now what's really happening is there are [36:42] people that are getting prophecy and they're going to Paul and they telling them, "Yo yo yo, this is what's about [36:47] that most high God, thus says Yahweh, you're about to go to Jerusalem and your butt about to get gaffled up. They about [36:54] to get your butt." So Paul already knows it. And Paul's probably already getting that prophecy himself directly from the [37:00] Holy Spirit as well. Watch this. Keep going. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto [37:06] myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, in the ministry which I have received of Yahweh, of Yahweh, of the [37:13] master Yahua to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And now, behold, I [37:18] know that ye all among whom I have gone preaching in the the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. Wherefore I [37:25] take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all [37:31] the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has made you [37:39] overseers to feed the congregation of God which he has purchased with his own blood. For I know this that after my [37:46] departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise [37:52] speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. He's telling them how it's going to play out. He's like, "Listen, I'mma go. Y'all buddy ain't [37:58] going to see me. No, I know what's about to happen to me. He said, "I'mma go get gaffled up. They probably never going to let me out. They probably going to kill [38:04] me. Y'all never going to see me again, but I know what's about to happen." Right? As soon as I leave, it's going to [38:10] be people coming up in here lying, splitting y'all apart. Right? He trying to give them the game about about what's [38:15] about to happen. Keep going. Therefore, watch and remember that by the space of three years, I cease not to warn [38:22] everyone night and day with tears. And now, brother, who's this remind you of? Moses, right? Hey, didn't Moses do the [38:28] same thing? Moses gave us the whole law. Then when he got done, he like, "Man, look, I already know y'all about to [38:33] rebel." You know what I'm saying? But look, just remember, choose life or death. Moses was trying to get us to [38:39] remember, but at the same he tell him, "I already know y'all butts about the Most High God already showed me y'all about to rebel." But he like, "But just [38:46] I mean, just stick to this law. If you keep this law, he trying to convince him." But this was the same thing Paul trying to do, right? Because he know our [38:52] law, right? Keep going. And now, brethren, I command I commend you to God [38:58] and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. I have coveted no man silver [39:05] or gold or apparel. Yay, ye yourselves know that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that [39:12] were with me. Right? He said, I work for my own. He said, I work for my own stuff. He said, I didn't take nothing [39:18] from nobody. I didn't sit here and beg. I wasn't sitting here jealous over other stuff that everybody else got. All y'all [39:24] know I use my own hands to provide for my darn self. Right. Keep going. I have showed you all things how that so [39:30] laboring ye ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the master Yahosua how he said it is more blessed [39:36] to give than receive. And when he had thus spoken, he kneel down and prayed with them all. And they all wept sore [39:43] and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him, sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake that they should see his [39:48] face no more. And they accompanied him into the ship. [39:54] That's the end of the chapter. Yeah. Let's go to the next chapter. Jump on down for the sake of time. Jump on down [40:00] to verse eight. This Acts 21:8. Watch what the book say. [40:07] The next day we that were of Paul's company departed and came unto Cesaria. And we entered into the house of Philip [40:13] the evangelist, which was one of the seven and abode with him. Y'all remember one of the seven, right? When we first [40:19] start reading in Acts, y'all don't remember where uh where uh you know the Gentiles was fighting with the with the [40:25] Hebrews. And after they start fighting, you know what I'm saying? The apostles was looking like, "Man, look, we about [40:30] to appoint seven people to help sort this mess out cuz we don't have time to be sitting here serving tables. You know [40:36] what I'm saying? Y'all figure out who going to eat. Y'all make sure everybody taken care of. We about to go preach the [40:41] word." And so, Philip was one of those seven that was chosen. Keep going. And the same man had four daughters, [40:47] virgins, which did prophesy. And as we tried there many days, there came down from Judah a certain prophet named [40:54] Agabus. And when he was come up unto us, he took Paul's girdle and bound his own [40:59] hands and feet, and said, "Thus says Yahweh, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit. So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the [41:06] man that owns this girdle, right? Deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles." So now he got another prophet. First he had a group of young [41:13] ladies that were prophets and they were prophesying. And then this man came, what was his name? Abacus. Agabus. [41:19] Agabus. Right. Agabus came and he was a prophet. So he prophet through he prophesied through demonstration. He [41:26] walked up to Paul and took his belt. Give me your belt. And then he wrapped his belt around his hands and his feet, [41:32] right? And just tied himself up and he said, "Thus says Yahweh, right? Whoever [41:39] owned this belt, remember he took the belt from Paul. He said, "Whoever own this belt, this how they about to be [41:45] when they go to Jerusalem. They about to be tied and gaffled up." Right? So Paul [41:50] just got done telling them, he is looking like, "Man, look, everywhere I go, the Holy Spirit is coming to me, [41:56] telling me that I'm like I'm destined to be locked up when I go to Jerusalem." [42:02] And then right after he got done saying that, it happened again. So now this time, all the people that's there get to [42:08] see it. Come sit your butts down. All the people that's there get to see it. Right. Keep going. And we And when we [42:14] heard these things, both we and they of that place besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. And Paul answered, "What mean [42:20] ye to weep and to break my heart? For I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the [42:27] master Yahosua." And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, "The will of the will of Yahweh be done." [42:34] Mhm. And after those days, we took up our carriages and went up to Jerusalem. And there went with us also certain of [42:41] the disciples of Cesaria, and brought with them one mason of Cyprus, an old [42:47] disciple with whom we should lodge. And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly. And the day [42:54] following, Paul went in with us unto James, and all the elders were present. And when we had saluted them, he [43:00] declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry. And when they had heard it, [43:05] they glorified the they glorified Yahweh and said unto him, "Thou seeest, brother, how many thousands of Jews [43:12] there are which there are which believe and they all are zealous of the law." Right? So who is this talking? Uh James. [43:20] This is this is James. Who is James though? He's the pillar. Right? James is an [43:26] apostle. Walked around with Yahosua. He was he was labeled a pillar, a leader. [43:33] Right? So, this is James talking to talking to Paul. Watch what James say to Paul. Remember, James is running the [43:39] show. So, Paul has now traveled from all the land of the Gentiles and he's back [43:44] at home in Jerusalem. All Hebrews. Look around. All black folk, right? It's all [43:50] our people. Now, he's back at home. He been around all these Gentiles this whole time and everybody knows Paul be [43:58] preaching to the Gentiles. Not everybody is okay with that, right? Y'all remember [44:04] in Acts chapter 15 where they had the big argument. I know it's been a long time, but remember that it was the big [44:09] argument where some of our people was saying, "No, the Gentiles got to keep the law. They got to be circumcised if [44:14] they want to if they want to accept Yahushua." Meanwhile, Paul and James was like, "No, we ain't putting that on the [44:21] Gentiles." So, a lot of our people don't really rock with the Gentiles just [44:27] willy-nilly getting in without keeping the whole law. That causes a big dispute. It makes people very frustrated [44:33] and very upset. To this day, our people don't agree on this subject, right? So, [44:40] Paul comes in with that reputation. James pulls him quick. Paul, my brother, [44:46] my man, how you doing? Yo yo yo. Watch what James said to him when he had [44:51] saluted them. He declared what he said he saluted. That's like, "Hey, what up, bro?" Man, what up, man? No, man. It's [44:56] good. But yo, let me talk to you real quick. You got a second. Let me You know what I'm feeling? Before you I got cuz James, look, James is responsible for [45:03] keeping order, right? He trying to He's leading this whole thing. You can't have [45:09] nobody come in and cause a bunch of misunderstanding. So, as soon as he see Paul, you say Paul on the way. You saw [45:14] him coming my man. Hey. Yo yo yo. You good? No, I'm let me talk to Yo. Yo, yo, [45:20] what up, bro? No, let me uh come over here. You know what I'm saying? Let me let me holler at you real quick outside [45:26] of the company and everybody. You know what I'm saying? Let me just talk to you real quick. So, watch the conversation. I like to imagine his conversation was [45:31] very private. Watch the conversation he had with him. When he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God [45:37] had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry. Right. Look, Paul, Paul messing it up cuz Paul coming in here [45:44] bragging about the Gentiles. Oh, you wouldn't believe it's nothing but Hebrews around. Oh, you wouldn't believe [45:49] the Holy Spirit touching these Gentiles. Oh, man. The spirit. I mean, God is [45:56] moving with these Gentiles right here. We sitting there boiling like God is doing what a filthy gentile a [46:04] uncircumcised pige eating gentile. Well, you didn't lost your mind. Ain't no mo most Most [46:10] High God. You don't know what God you worshiping. That's what they all thinking in their head. And Paul, he [46:16] probably doing it on purpose. He's sitting there. Oh man, y'all couldn't the Gentile. I mean, the spirit is all [46:22] over. You wouldn't believe the faith of these Gentile. I mean, more faith than some of us here. You know what I'm [46:28] saying? He like rubbing it. I in my mind, he rubbing in their faith cuz Paul don't really mess with this idea that [46:34] the Gentile can't get in and y'all going to get in before the Gentiles. Paul don't really rock with that. Paul, Paul [46:41] teach it just how the book say it. So he did he tell man let me tell you all the wonder thing he had the gentile doing [46:48] miracles it's beautiful y'all wouldn't believe the stuff that he doing with these Gentiles James looking like yeah [46:54] yeah yeah no no no that's wonderful that's wonderful let me uh let me talk to you on the side here let me talk to [47:00] you real quick watch this and when they heard it glorified Yahweh and said unto him thou seeest brother how many [47:07] thousands of Jews are which believe look at he got right to it look no praise God that that happened for But let me talk [47:13] to you. Look. So you see, look around. [47:18] Ain't nothing but Hebrews here, boy. You know what I'm saying? And all of them believe that Yahosua is him, [47:27] right? Every one of them believe. Cuz you got to understand when Paul left that wasn't the case. When Paul left it [47:35] was very few that believe. And the mass majority is looking like, man, yo, [47:40] please, man. Didn't they kill that man? Right. So now James is looking like, look, we made a lot like, no, you you [47:47] didn't you've been putting on some work, but we made a lot of progress here. Look around. These all our people. And they [47:55] believe. It wasn't like that when you left, Paul, right? They believe. Watch this. And they are all zealous of the [48:02] law. And they keep our law, right? So they believe and they keep our law. [48:08] Watch this. And they are informed of thee that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake [48:13] Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs. Now, now James [48:19] is trying to check him like lowkey. He look like, look, and they heard a a rumor. Now, I have no idea what where [48:26] they might have heard it, but they're being told that you're telling Hebrews [48:33] that's amongst the I love what you doing with the Gentiles, my brother. You know what I'm saying? Look, but I don't know [48:38] where they were here at, but I I'm hearing that they hearing [48:44] that you telling Hebrews to stop keeping the law. Now brother, all my brothers [48:51] out here, we love the law and we love Yahosua now. [48:56] But that's crazy that they hearing that. So you know, watch what he say. What is it therefore? [49:02] The multitude that the multitude must needs to come together for they will hear that you are come. Do therefore [49:10] this that we say to thee. We have four men which have a vow on them. them take and purify thyself with them and be at [49:16] the charges with them that they may shave their heads and all may know that those things where they were informed [49:22] concerning you are nothing. Right? He said, "Listen, so let let me tell you how to fix it. Thou thyself also walks [49:29] orderly and keep the law." Right? He said, "Look, let me let me I know it's just a rumor, Paul." He don't even give [49:35] Paul a chance to answer. Paul Paul trying to get a word in. It's a eye match. Paul, he he look like Look, they [49:40] heard of him. No, they ain't. Yeah, that's what they heard. You know what I'm saying? Now listen, [49:48] how about this? I got four young boys over there. They got a vow, [49:53] right? A Nazerite vow to purify themselves. You've been hanging around a lot of [49:59] Gentiles. We know the Gentiles unclean. Look, look, I get it. Why don't you just [50:04] take the vow with them? That way everybody know and it'll be clear [50:10] that you do keep the law and you support all of our beautiful people who are also [50:16] very zealous for the law who we have been working all these darn years to [50:21] unify and we finally getting somewhere and don't you bring your black button here trying to mess up what we got going [50:28] on. That's not that's not [50:33] right. James is a leader. He's having to hold this whole thing together. [50:39] When Paul left, he was on the other side. And now he preaching to the G. And [50:45] that's brother. That's I love what you man. Praise. You hear that? Praise the [50:50] Lord. You know what I'm saying? Praise the Lord. I love what's happening with the Gentiles. [50:56] But it's a rumor out there, boy. You're talking to I know it ain't true, [51:01] but they say that you talking the Hebrews telling the Hebrews that they don't need [51:09] to keep the law. I don't even want to I don't even want to repeat nothing like that. You know what I'm saying? Now [51:14] listen, there's a lot of brothers out here that's zealous about the law. Go ahead, take the vow with the young boy. [51:20] Clean yourself up. Go ahead, take the offering. Matter of fact, pay for theirs. You know what I'm saying? pay for there. Make sure everybody know that [51:28] all them rumors that they heard, you got to understand, James is checking Paul right now, that all them rumors that [51:34] they heard are nothing. Go do it. And Paul, [51:40] let's see what he did. As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such [51:46] thing except only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols and from blood and from strangle and [51:52] from fornication. Mhm. Then Paul took them in and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the [51:58] temple to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification until that an offering should be offered for every one [52:04] of them. Right? So then he did the offering for them and he did the [52:09] purification himself and he did it just like James instructed him to. [52:14] Right? Now is that consistent with who Paul is? Yeah. Why? Because he even told [52:21] you in Corinthians, right? One may esteem a day this way, one may esteem a day that way. One may eat, one may not [52:27] eat. Right? I am all things to those I'm paraphrasing, of course, but I'm all things to those like basically who my [52:34] audience is, that's what I am. He's not about to get in no argument with James because what James is saying [52:41] is right. James is saying for the sake of our brethren who are zealous for the [52:47] law, show them that you are orderly in the law. And that's exactly what Paul [52:53] said in 1 Corinthians chapter 9. He said, "To them who are a Jew, I am a [52:59] Jew. To them who are with law, I am I keep the law. To them who are without [53:05] law, I am without the law, but not without the law to the Messiah." So this [53:10] is exactly what they're doing. Now he's around people in the land to keep the law. He said, "Why should your liberally [53:17] liberty be evil spoken of?" It don't make sense. Right. So Paul, you're not going to You [53:24] wasn't about to get no defense out of Paul. Like, no. But no, this that don't make sense. He looking like, "No [53:30] problem. Where the boys at? What they need?" All right. I'll take the vow, too. Then he went into the temple and [53:36] made an offering. They sacrificed the offering of the Nazarite vow, right? Because you got to give a you got to give a peace offering and you got to [53:42] give a sin offering anytime you complete the Nazarite vow. So they went in and they gave the sin offering in the temple [53:48] and the peace offering. Remember, even though Yahosua is dead at this point, the temple is still standing. So all the [53:53] daily sacrifices continued to happen. Anything that was designated in our law [53:59] continued to happen. And guess where he is? He's back home. So you got to do [54:04] what the law say. Cuz if you don't, you might mess around and get stoned, boy. That's just the law. That's where where [54:10] you at. We might stone you if you So it's not even like a It's not even like you ain't about to go to Japan and just [54:16] start breaking their law. They they they'll put your butt in jail, right? Wherever you go, you going to keep their [54:22] law. So even if he wasn't a Hebrew, he in you in Hebrew land now, boy. You in [54:27] you in Jerusalem. You going to keep the law regardless. Right. But he like, "No, no, take a [54:32] little further now. Show all these boys that you going to take the vow and that you walk early cuz I want to make sure [54:38] they understand that whatever rumor they heard of you was nothing. It wasn't. [54:43] That was just just a rumor. You know what I'm saying? Just let that fly by. So Paul complied, right? Keep going. And [54:50] when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all [54:55] the people and laid hands on him, crying out, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man that teaches all men everywhere [55:02] against the people and the law and this place." Right? So James saw this coming [55:07] also into the temple and excluded this holy place. James saw this coming. James [55:12] knew this was about to happen. So that's why he tried to tell him just go. He tried to he tried to like calm it down. [55:18] But when they saw him in the temple, it made it worse cuz they look at him like [55:23] he's a that's one of them the kind of the way we would look at like what they call a Uncle Tom. You know what I'm [55:28] saying? Like think of like how black people how how most black people would see like a black Republican. That's kind [55:34] of how we would look at them. You know what I'm saying? Like a black Trump supporter. You know what I'm saying? [55:40] like somebody like somebody like somebody that like that somebody like one of them black people that be looking [55:45] like Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Honestly, you know what I'm saying? I I the white folks was right. Y'all is [55:53] lazy. They should have enslaved your butt. I would have enslaved your butt, too. Like a black person talking like that taking [56:01] the side of a white person. That's kind of how they see Paul. They look at Paul [56:06] like, "Man, you ride with them gentile. the Gentiles. Most high God don't mess with the Gentiles. They unclean. They [56:12] against our culture. They hate our God. That's how that's how they see Gentiles. So they looking at him like, man, this [56:19] this dude that be rocking with the Gentiles. Paul might have a couple Gentiles with him, right? He actually [56:25] might have a couple Gentiles with him coming into Jerusalem. So when they see him, what they assume is he's polluting [56:31] our temple, right? Watch this. Keep going. and further brought Greeks also into the [56:37] temple and has polluted this holy place. Right? So now they assume that he brought Greeks in there, Gentiles in [56:43] there and he's looking like they polluted it. Why might they get that idea? Why might they be that sensitive [56:48] about the temple? Because of what uh the Greeks did to our temple in uh what was [56:54] that in uh was Alexander the Great. Yeah. Right. So after Alexander the [56:59] Great, the Greeks took over and the Greeks came and they sacrificed a pig in [57:04] our temple and shut our stuff down and from that was birthed the Pharisees and [57:09] the Sajedes and all that until you end up getting to the Messiah and the stuff that we reading in the gospel, right? So [57:16] they're sensitive about that. They looking like and you brought after our history, after what happened to you [57:22] brought some Gentiles in here. Now he didn't, but that's how they saw it. They they assume that that's what happened, [57:29] right? Keep going. Watch this. But they had seen before with him in the city of Trump Tro Trophimus and Ephesians whom [57:37] they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple and all the city was moved and the people ran together and they [57:43] took Paul and drew him out of the temple and fort with the doors were shut, right? Because it because they thought [57:48] he was defing the temple and they see him as unclean. After they heard these people accuse him of that, everybody was [57:55] like, "What? because we don't play about our temple. So we looking like what? Remember, you have to don't don't let [58:01] don't forget our history, right? The Gentiles have attacked us multiple times [58:06] and once or actually a couple times completely defiled our completely disrespected our temple. So when we hear [58:13] that, we all get riled up and we like, "No, get his butt out of there." So we over there and we everybody go and we go [58:20] grab Paul and we yank him out of the temple. Watch what happened. And as they went about to kill him, tidings came [58:26] unto the chief captain of the band that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. Right? So now they getting ready to kill him. [58:32] They looking like somebody get a stone now. I got him. So they holding Paul and yanking them and pulling them. It's a crowd of people and they looking like, [58:39] "Man, we about to kill this boy." So as that's happening now, the Romans hear it cuz the Romans got to keep watch over [58:45] Jerusalem. So they, you know what I'm saying? Somebody ran to Rome like, "Yo, the Israelites over there tripping, man. [58:50] They about to kill this boy. Apparently, he ran into the temple, brought some Gentiles. I don't know what, but they about to kill him. Go over there, handle [58:56] it. So, you know, I like to imagine the captain, he ran over there on his horse. You know what I'm saying? Hey, what [59:01] y'all doing? Let's see what the book say. And immediately took soldiers and centurions and ran down unto them. And [59:07] when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating up Paul. Right. So, after that, they start they [59:12] stop beating Paul cuz they yanking him, slapping him, punching him. After that, they looking like, "Oh, hey." You know [59:18] what I'm saying? Cuz that's the police. That's what you got to think about it. They handling their business. Think about people in the hood. It's like, [59:23] man, if you if you disrespect what we got going on here, we might get off on [59:29] you and we might kill you. But then what happened after that? The police pull up. [59:34] Police pull up. Everybody step back like, "All right, nah." You know what I'm saying? It's good. You know what I'm saying? It's good. You know what I'm [59:39] saying? No, we just handling business over here. It's our boy. You know what I'm saying? That's up. You know what I'm saying? But this is a little different [59:45] because it's like laws within laws. So, watch what they say to him. Then the chief captain came near and took him and [59:52] commanded him to be bound with two chains and demanded who he was and what he had done. And some cried one thing, [59:58] some cried, some cried another among the multitude. Right? So now he bound him in [60:03] what? And he bound him with two chains and demanded who he was and what he had [60:09] done. Right? So he put chains on him just like the prophecy said about him. Remember he said, "I already know what's [60:15] about to happen to me. I'm going to go to Jerusalem and I'm going to be bound." So now that just happened to him. Now [60:20] he's bound. Now he Now the the chief captain, he's asking all the Hebrew. The chief captain is a gentile, right? So [60:27] he's asking all the Hebrew, he like, "Yo, so what did he do?" And everybody [60:32] saying different stuff. He did this, he did that, he did that. Everybody just yelling out stuff. Watch this. And when [60:37] he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle. Mhm. And when he had came upon the stairs, so it was that he [60:44] was born of the soldiers for the violence of the people. Mhm. For the multitude of the people followed after crying away with him. And as Paul was to [60:51] be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, "May I speak unto thee?" Who said, "Cince thou speak Greek? Art [60:58] thou not the Egyptian which before these days made an uproar, and laidest out [61:04] into the wilderness for 4,000 men that were murderers." But Paul said, I am a [61:09] man which a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cissia, a citizen of no mean city, and I [61:14] beseech thee to suffer me to speak unto the people. Right. So now he told him I'm not no darn Egyptian. I'm a Hebrew, [61:22] right? And then I actually am from Tarsus, which is in uh Salic. What was [61:27] it? Cissia. Cissia, right? Which is a Roman city and I'm a [61:33] Roman citizen and I demand that you let me speak. So at first they were treating him like, think of it like like Trump [61:40] would treat a immigrant. Then they find out it's like, "Oh, you a citizen." [61:45] like all right go ahead and speak now how does all our people view Paul at [61:50] this point they view him as ah you you as good as a gentile right so watch how [61:57] Paul addresses them watch this when he had given him license Paul stood on the stairs and beckoned with the hands of [62:03] the people what chapter we in 21 still what verse uh the last verse 40 okay and [62:09] when there was made a great silence he spoken to them in the Hebrew tongue saying he spoke unto them in what in the [62:15] Hebrew tongue. So now he spoke onto him in the Hebrew tongue. So he started to [62:20] explain everything to him. He started going like his whole story. Yo, I used to be one of the ones chasing down [62:28] everybody, letting them know we don't rock with this Yahosua stuff. I was the one gaffling people up. I was the one [62:34] making sure that they got sentenced to death. That was me. And then one day I bumped into Yahosua. Yahosua said, "Why [62:41] you why you kicking against the go?" So he tell the whole story to him. Jump down uh jump over to uh the next [62:46] chapter, chapter 22. Give me verse one. Watch this. Men and brethren and fathers, hear ye my defense which I make [62:54] now unto you. And when they heard that he spake in a Hebrew tongue to them, they listen. They kept the more silence, [63:00] right? They listened to him. When they saw him speaking in he cuz remember we look at him like that's a gentile lover. [63:07] So when he starts speaking to us in Hebrew, we looking like all right now [63:12] hear him out. Let's hear him out because that's our language. You ain't speaking to us in Greek. You're not speaking to us in some different language. You [63:18] speaking to us in our language. All right, let's hear him out. You know what I'm saying? So we we give him a little space to talk. Watch what he gets to [63:24] say. He says, "I am verily a man which am a Jew born in Tarses, a city in Cissia, yet brought up in this city at [63:30] the feet of Giel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as [63:36] ye all are this day. And I persecuted this way unto the death." So hold on real quick. So the sister asked a [63:42] question. They said, she said, "Wouldn't they be guilty of a crime themselves, [63:48] guilty of a sin themselves by trying to kill Paul?" Right? [63:54] If they think Paul defiled the temple and brought Gentiles into the temple, [63:59] that's against our law, right? So if it were true, Paul would [64:05] have to be judged for that and be stoned. So, no, in their mind, they're [64:11] fulfilling the judgment, right? They all got together, they hear the the accusation, and now they're trying to [64:18] get Paul out, and they beating him up on the way, but they trying to bring Paul to judgment. I don't think the law said [64:24] anything about Greeks, though. I know we got something about like Egyptians. Nobody unclean can come into the temple. [64:30] Okay. Yeah. Nobody unclean, you know what I'm saying? It don't it don't matter who you are. You can you can't come you can't come near the temple if [64:36] you unclean. You know what I'm saying? You're not a part of our people. you uncircumcised, all that. Your butt can't come near the temple. You know what I'm [64:41] saying? So he pulling them in and and they now this didn't happen. But that's what they thought. That's what the [64:47] accusation was. And it got everybody riled up. So they like yank him out of there, right? Get him out of there [64:53] immediately. Who's that remind you of? Uh Yoshu. Yoshua. Who else? [64:59] Who got pulled out of the temple? Who's that? Uh Joab. You don't remember? [65:06] Oh yeah. Yeah, he had that leprosy, right? Remember Oziah? He got, you know what I'm saying? Kind of got full of himself. He was a good king. I think he [65:12] tried to like the incense. He was a good king. And he went in there, he looking like, you know what, God been with me [65:18] this whole time. Let me go ahead and light me an incant as if I'm a priest. And the priest saw him doing that. And [65:24] the most high God, they first they confronted him. Oh, we should get it. You lucky I can't remember where that thing is. But you know what I'm saying? [65:31] First they confronted, they looking like, "Man, you're not supposed to be in here." And all of a sudden he, you know, he started talking back. I can't [65:36] remember what he said, but he started talking back to him. And the most high God struck him with leprosy, I think on his forehead. You know what I'm saying? [65:42] Where everybody can see it. And the priest saw the forehead turned up cuz leprosy is unclean. Push that boy out of [65:49] there. So they freaked out because we don't play about the cleanliness of our temple. So we freaked out. We get your [65:55] butt and just yanked him out. So that's kind of how they looking at Paul. They thought he made the temple unclean. So [66:02] they taking no expense. get his butt out of there. Right? So, because of what [66:07] they thought, right, in their mind, it would have been easily reconciled of [66:12] saying this is necessary. They think they're doing God's service. Oh, we got [66:17] grab uh Oh, where is that? Y'all lucky I don't remember this book [66:24] like I'm supposed to. It's John chapter 16. [66:31] 15. It's It's It's not 15. It's 16. It got to be 16. Verse three. Let me tell you [66:40] something, Eli. If I get this one, that [66:46] is a bad boy. [66:52] John chapter 16 verse three. Let me tell you something, Eli. Let it be right. [66:59] Let it be right. And these things will they do unto you. Oh my goodness. That's [67:06] a bad boy. Verse two. Oh, well, he all right. You know what I'm [67:11] saying? He all right. He ain't he ain't that bad. All right. This This is uh John chapter uh 16 verse one. Give me [67:20] verse one. These things have I spoken unto you that you should not be offended. They shall put you out of the [67:26] synagogues. Yay. The time cometh that who whomsoever kills you will think that he does God's service. What? So Yahosua [67:34] told us this. He said, "Listen, it's coming that the people that try to kill you, they going to think they doing it [67:40] in the name of like in the name of God." Right? So that's what they doing. When [67:46] they yank them out of the temple, they think that they're doing God service. They think they doing the right thing in [67:51] their mind. Right? So it's easily for them internally. They reconcile it very easily. [67:59] This is uh this is uh uh where we leave off. Acts chap 22 verse4. This Acts [68:07] chapter 22 give me verse 4. [68:14] And I persecuted this way unto death, binding and delivering unto prisons both men and women. Mhm. As also the high [68:20] priest does bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders, whom for whom I also receive letters unto the brother [68:27] unto the brethren, and went to Damascus to bring them them which were bound unto Jerusalem for to be punished. Right? So [68:33] he's telling he's like, listen, I'm not just running my mouth. Talk to the high priest. He'll tell you about me. Right? [68:39] I got letters I still got letters to this day that tell that's telling people hey Paul is authorized to come grab so [68:45] and so like like imagine the letters being like a warrant for somebody's arrest or something yeah it's like like [68:51] he's like I got proof I'm like I'm not what y'all think you know what I'm saying like I'm does this I'm like he [68:57] looking at y looking at them like man y'all chump y'all ain't got nothing I I was way tougher than y'all was what [69:03] y'all talking about right keep on watch this and it came to pass that as I made my journey and was come near unto [69:09] Damascus about noon. Suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell into the ground and [69:15] heard a voice saying unto me, "Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?" And I [69:20] answered, "Who art thou, master?" And he said unto me, I am Yahosua of Nazareth, whom you persecutest? And they that were [69:27] with me saw indeed the light and were afraid, but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. And I said, "What [69:33] shall I do, master?" Right? So now he goes on and he explains in the interest of time, we going to skip jump on down [69:39] to like verse 17, right? So he goes on to explain everything that happened, everything that we already know about [69:45] Paul. How he, you know what I'm saying? How, you know what I'm saying, he was blind. Yahosua told him to go to a city [69:51] and then the guy, you know what I'm saying? Uh, what was it? Ananas, I think it was. You know what I'm saying? Healed him of his blindness. You know what I'm [69:57] saying? Helped him see. He telling everybody the whole story, right? Jump on down to verse 17. Watch this. And it [70:04] came to pass that when I was come again to Jerusalem, even I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance. Right? So he [70:09] said, I went to the temple and I'm in a trance. I'm having a vision. Watch this. And saw him saying unto me, make haste [70:15] and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem, for they will not receive your testimony concerning me. Right? Yahosua is telling [70:21] him, get out of Jerusalem. Right? Keep going. And I said, Master, they know that I am prison and beat in every [70:27] synagogue them that believed on thee. And when the blood of thy martyr Steven was shed, I also was standing by and [70:33] consenting unto his death, and kept the raignment of them that slew him. And he said unto me, Depart, for I will send [70:39] thee far from here unto the Gentiles. He said, I will send you far from here unto what? The Gentiles. So now this whole [70:46] time he's speaking in Hebrew, right? So we listening to him and we looking like, [70:52] yeah, now that's okay. That we know what I'm saying. We hear him out. He's speaking in Hebrew. And now he gets to [70:57] talking about God told me he gonna send me to the Gentiles. How you think that made everybody feel? Yeah, right. Watch [71:05] this. Watch how they react to hearing that foolish. And they gave him audience unto this word and then lifted up their [71:10] voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from soon as you get look, we with you." Oh, you really Oh, you really [71:15] like that. The high priest used to send you on missions. Oh, I didn't hear. That's po. Oh, that's the same Paul from [71:23] Oh, I heard about him. Oh, no. That is a bad we was with him for a second and he [71:28] is like then after that I'm in a trance and then God starts speaking to me and [71:35] he told me I'mma send you to the Gentiles book say we heard him until [71:40] that word everybody start having oh man get that mess up ain't nobody listening [71:45] if you don't knock it off put and so then they start to react so watch what happened after that for it is not fit [71:51] that he should live and as they cried out and cast off their clothes and threw dust. Look, they freaking out because [71:58] you have to imagine I wish y'all could like see it from our like our ancestors [72:03] point of view. This is unheard of. Like we don't like this is crazy. So you mean [72:08] to tell me our God our God throughout our entire history that never mess with [72:14] no Gentiles. You mean to tell me you're in the temple and he have a message [72:19] specifically for you that he's in their mind they think he ain't never gave to nobody else and he telling you go go [72:27] help the Gentiles. So they looking like this is ridiculous and you blaspheming our God and you [72:35] making a fool out of us. And so they ripping off their clothes, you know what I'm saying? They throwing dust in the [72:40] air. They just being dramatic. You know what I'm saying? They they going crazy cuz they looking like kill this boy. Let [72:46] me hit him. You know what I'm saying? Keep going. Watch this. Chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle invade that he should be examined [72:52] by the scoring. Right? So the chief captain had to pull Paul out cuz they about to kill him. So the chief captain [72:58] like cuz you got to understand the gentile chief captain, he's sitting there listening the whole time. I like [73:03] to imagine he's sitting on a horse. You know what I'm saying? And Paul is in chains like this. And Paul is sitting [73:09] here. He looking like hopping around and I'm telling you I did this that and the other and then this that and the other but I was the one getting him and he [73:15] just hopping around like that right and then the chief captain sitting on top of his horse and you know you know horses [73:21] like they don't really stand still they be walking back and forth so he kicking the horse like you know what I'm saying hold on relax man you know what I'm [73:26] saying looking at Paul jump around the people with him then he start mentioning that Gentile stuff so now they rushing [73:31] the stage they trying to get to Paul he looking all right no bring them take him to the back take him all right everybody [73:37] relax handle but get the crowd under control. Take them to the back. And so now he take him to the back and start [73:42] talking to him. Remember they in the castle. So he take him into the castle and start talking to him. Watch this. And the chief captain commanded him to [73:49] be brought into the castle and bade that he should be examined by scorging that he might know. Wherefore they cried so [73:56] against him. So examine by scorging. What does that mean? Beat him. They beat his butt until they felt like he was [74:03] telling the truth. Right. Keep going. Watch this. And as they bound him with tongues, Paul said to the centurion that [74:10] stood by, "Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman and unconddemned?" And when the centurion [74:15] heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, "Take heed what thou doest, for this man is a Roman." Right? [74:20] So he's looking like, "Hey, this man said he's a Roman citizen. We can't just be beating him like he one [74:26] of these other black folks." You know what I'm saying? He a different black boy. You know what I'm saying? So then he's like, "Look, pay attention to what [74:32] you're doing now cuz he's a Roman citizen. He might be able to get us in trouble by by us beating him like this. [74:37] Right. Keep going. Then the chief captain came and said unto him, tell me, "Art thou a Roman?" And he said, "Yay." [74:44] And the chief captain answered, "With a great sum obtained in this freedom?" And Paul said, "But I was freeborn." Right? [74:51] So what the chief captain tried to play him, he looking like, "Oh, you paid a lot of money for that." The chief captain kind of racist, right? So he [74:58] looking at him like, "Oh, you must have paid a lot of money to be, you know what I'm saying? You you ain't from around here, boy. You try. you paid a lot of [75:04] money to be a citizen of Rome. And then Paul looking like, "No, I was born free. I was born a Roman." You know what I'm [75:11] saying? What you talking about? You know what I'm saying? And watch what he say. Then straightway they departed from him [75:16] which should have examined him. And the chief captain also was afraid after he knew that he was a Roman and because he [75:21] had bound him under Marorrow because he would have known the the certainty [75:27] the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews. He loosed him from his bands and commanded the chief priests [75:32] and all their council to appear and brought Paul down and set him before them. Right? So he didn't set him free, [75:38] but he took the chains off of them. Right? So it's like you still detained now, but we ain't going to put you in [75:44] handcuffs. You all right? You know what I'm saying? Keep going. And Paul earnest earnestly beholding the council. [75:53] And Paul earnestly beholding the council said, "Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until [75:59] this day. And the high priest and Ananas commanded them that stood by to him to smite him on the mouth." Then Paul said, [76:04] "Oh, wait. Hold on. This chapter 23?" Yeah. All right. So, we going to pick up chapter 23 next week. Right. So, in [76:11] chapter 23, you know what I'm saying? Uh, he about to start an argument. A Come on. Let's We started. Let's just [76:16] keep going. Watch this. Watch this. Watch this. Watch this. [76:22] And the high priest commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the smite him on the mouth. Then Paul said unto [76:28] him, "God shall smite thee, you whited wall." Right? So look, the high priest [76:33] in there, it's just a bunch. You got to understand, it's a bunch of people. They took the chains off of them, right? So [76:39] the high priest come, they let the high priest come talk to him, but it's a bunch of them, right? And then they [76:44] gaffle them up again. And they looking like the high priest is, you know, he calling from the back. Smack that boy in [76:50] his mouth. You know what I'm saying? He running his mouth. Smack him in his mouth. It's the high priest, a Israelite. So they go bow and they [76:57] whack. They whack Paul. So Paul get it bow. Paul get mad cuz who going to get smacked in the face and be cool? So Paul [77:04] gets smacked in the face. He looking like Yeah. Whoever said that, you whiteed wall. In other words, you [77:10] hypocrite. You know what I'm saying? You smack me in the face, you hypocrite. And then watch what happened. For citest [77:15] thou to judge me after the law and command me to be smitt and contrary to the law. Right? He like, "You hypocrite. [77:21] How you gonna have somebody smack me talking about you doing it for the law and I ain't even broke no darn law." And [77:27] then you can't have me smacked and I ain't did nothing. That's against the law, you hypocrite. Right. That's pretty much what he trying to say. So then he [77:34] gets smacked. But the high priest is the one who said it. And guess what our law says? Don't revile. You cannot revile [77:41] the hard high priest. In other words, you can't talk disrespectfully to the high priest. Right? So Paul, watch him [77:49] get called out about it. And they stood by and said, "Revile thou God's high priest." Right? So they looking at him [77:55] like, "Oh, you didn't break the law. You did this now, boy." Hell there. You reviled the high priest. You know the [78:00] high priest you talking to. Watch what Paul said. Paul said, "I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest. [78:06] For it is written, thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people." Yeah. So he said, "Look," he said, "All right, [78:12] you got me. I didn't know that with him now. It's written." And he quoted he quoted the scripture like, "I know it now. Don't get me wrong, I know it. I [78:19] just didn't know in all this commotion everybody grabbed me. I didn't know the high priest was the one that told me to [78:24] get smacked. I thought it was just some random person thinking they running the show. He like I shut my mouth then then [78:29] watch what he did after that. Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees and he cried out in the council men and brethren I am a [78:36] Pharisee of the son of a Pharisee. Right? So now you got to understand, you remember when Yahawua was talking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the [78:43] Sadducees, the book told us that the Sadducees don't believe in no resurrection, but the Pharisees do [78:49] believe in the resurrection, right? So when he looking around, you got to think Paul's mind is thinking fast. Paul was a [78:56] Pharisee, right? So when he's he's looking around, he looking like, "Oh man, all these people, they gonna mess [79:01] around and kill me in here." So he looking around, he looking like, "Okay, we got Sadducees over here, Pharisees [79:08] over here. They teaming up to get they don't even mess with each other for real." So he looking like, "I know just [79:13] the thing to say to start an argument between both of them." So watch what Paul say. When he had so said there [79:19] arose, wait, he said, "Of the hope of the resurrection of the dead, I am called in question." And when he had so [79:25] said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the multitude was divided. Right? Because [79:31] what they he's he basically he's saying, "I know why y'all mad at me. Y'all mad at me because I believe in the [79:37] resurrection." Right? So the Ses is looking like, "You believe in the resurrection?" Man, that [79:42] stuff is crazy. Then the Pharisees looking like, "No, that's not why we at you. We believe in the resurrection, [79:48] too." Then the Ses look at the Pharisees like, "Man, y'all still believe in that resurrection mess. Y'all crazy." Then [79:53] the Pharisees look at the Society like, "Yeah, no, the resurrection, the resurrection is true. You know what I'm [79:58] saying? Let me show it to you in the book." So they start arguing with each other about the resurrection and then [80:04] that leaves Paul where he can kind of, you know, have a little have a little space, right? Watch this. [80:13] But the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel nor spirit. But the Pharisees confessed both. And [80:19] there arose a great cry. And the scribes that were of the Pharisees part arose [80:25] and strove, saying, "We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight [80:31] against God. Right? So like the Pharisees are looking like, well, just to just to be against the Succeed cuz [80:37] now they mad at him because they arguing. Well, we think he eye you know what I'm saying? We don't fight. No, if [80:43] a cuz look the the Suced don't mess with spirits and angels and all that. So they looking like, well maybe a angel or a [80:49] spirit spoke to him and if it did then he must be eye. So now ain't no darn [80:55] spirit spoke to him. So they literally keep reading. Watch this. And when there arose a great dension, the chief captain [81:01] fearing less Paul should have been pulled in pieces of Look, they pulling Paul on each side. You know what I'm [81:07] saying? So he looking like the chief captain got to get involved again like they about to kill this boy. They looking like, man, look, gaffling up [81:14] again and they grabbed him and they had to take him, right? So jump on down to verse uh [81:21] give me verse 20. Jump on down to verse 20. [81:27] And he said, "The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul tomorrow into the council, as [81:34] they would inquire something of him more perfectly." But do not you yield, do not [81:39] thou yield unto them, for there lie and wait for them of them, for him of them more than 40 men, which have bound [81:46] themselves when not that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him. And now are they ready looking for a promise from thee. So the [81:52] chief captain then let the young So that was actually Paul's cousin or nephew, [81:58] not his cousin, his nephew. That was Paul's sister's son, right? Paul's [82:04] sister's son heard a rumor about Paul. So when the chief when the chief captain took Paul away, he carried him away. But [82:10] then Paul when when he had him locked up, he uh his nephew ran up to him was like, "Look, I heard these men and they [82:17] made a vow. They said they wasn't going to eat. They wasn't gonna drink nothing until they kill you, right? They made a [82:23] vow with themselves. They not gonna eat or drink. He told that to the Romans, the Roman captain. No, he told it first. [82:28] He told it to Paul, right? And then Paul told him, Paul was like, "For real, go [82:35] tell the captain that." You know what I'm saying? So he told him, he said, "Go tell the captain." So then he ran to the [82:42] captain next and he was like, "Listen, this is what they about to do." Now the captain told him, I think he about to tell him right now. Let me see. [82:49] Uh so the chief captain then let the young man depart and charge him. See thou tell no man that thou have showed [82:54] these things to me. Yeah. So the captain told him, "Don't tell nobody else this." Right. And the captain about to try to [83:01] prepare to protect Paul. So now watch what the captain do. And he called unto him two centurions, saying, "Make ready [83:08] 200 soldiers to go to Ciceria, and horsemen 70, and spearmen 200 in the [83:14] third hour of the night." So now he's trying to get him out of Jerusalem. So he's taking him to Cesaria, right? Keep [83:22] going. And provide them beasts that they may set Paul on and bring him safe unto Felix the governor. And he wrote a [83:27] letter after this man. Claudius Lysus unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting. This man was taken of [83:34] the Jews and should have been killed of them. Then I came I then came I with an [83:39] army and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman. And when I would have known the cause whereof they [83:45] accused him, I brought him forth into their counsel, whom I perceived to be accursed of questions of their law, but [83:51] to have nothing laid accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of [83:57] death or of bonds. And when it was told me how that the Jews laid weight for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and [84:04] gave commandment of his accusers also to say also to say before thee what they [84:10] had against him, farewell. Then the soldiers, as it was written, commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by the [84:16] night to Antipartis. On the tomorrow, they left the horsemen to go with him and returned to the castle, who when [84:23] they came to Cesaria, and delivered the epistle to the governor, presented Paul before him. And when the governor had [84:29] read the letter, he asked of what province he was. And when he understood that he was of Cissia, what did he do? I [84:35] will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall. [84:42] Right? So then he said, listen, I'll listen to you, but you not about to just tell me a story and not have the people [84:48] that's accusing you have a chance to say something either. Right? So he said, I hear you, but you sit you sit in jail [84:54] until we can get your accusers up here, too. So they about to invite him. So next week what we'll do is we'll pick up [85:00] at chapter 24, right? 24. Yeah. Yeah. We'll pick up at chapter 24 and then we'll read through, you know what I'm [85:06] saying? Like how that discussion go and then we'll probably finish out the whole book of Acts after that and you know and [85:12] kind of move on from there. All right. Any questions? [85:21] What was this? Like a pure pure but dirty inside. No questions. Yes, sir. No questions [85:29] online. All right. Well, let's pray out.
