Summary
Why do we keep doing the very things we don’t want to do? In this Sabbath lesson from Hebrews 5, Isaiah 28 and James 1, we learn that we grow from milk to strong meat only by being doers of the word, because putting it into practice is what trains us to discern good and evil. Through Hebrews 6, 1 Corinthians 6, Galatians 5 and Ephesians 6, you’ll see that repentance from dead works and walking in the spirit keep us from fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. Finally, Romans 6 and 7, Cain in Genesis 4, John 8 and Ezekiel 18 show that whoever commits sin is the servant of sin, and that Yahuah has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but wants us to turn and live.
