when we're looking at this we're not looking at like the evil pharisees versus the good [54:01] christians or something like that no we're looking at all disciples who are all trying to figure this how to [54:18] appropriately apply this judgment and that's what this argument is about watch this [54:25] that it was needful to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of moses right so keep our law they got to be circumcised and they have to keep our law [54:52] right let's keep going and the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter [54:59] and when there had been much disputing peter rose up and said unto them men and brethren look so peter jumped up [55:05] he said men and brethren you know how that a good while ago god made choice among us that [55:11] the gentiles by mouth should hear the word of the gospel and believe and god which knows the hearts [55:17] bear them witness giving them the holy ghost even as he did unto us right so he he's talking about the event [55:23] that we just read in acts chapter 10 where he just preaching the word then all of a sudden the spirit fell on the [55:28] gentiles let's hear about it and put no difference between us and them purifying their hearts by faith [55:34] therefore why tempt you god to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were [55:40] able to bear uh huh but we believe that through the grace of the lord yahushua the messiah we shall be saved even as [55:46] they he said through what through the grace of the lord yahshua the messiah we shall [55:52] be saved even as they and that's what it comes down to right through the grace right now watch this go to [55:57] go to uh john this is the gospel of john chapter one [56:03] it's the gospel of god john [60:28] his name is called gentiles are going to be calling on his name so he's letting them know like look [60:33] this line up with scripture with paul talking about and what peter talking about james right this is james talking he said my [60:52] sentence is so you know what i'm saying you know how like you go to jail or you go to court and the judge opens up the book and then [60:59] gives blood in your food for moses of [61:48] all time has in every city them that preach him being read in the synagogues every sabbath day and look at that no mention of sunday [61:55] either he said moses name was but the next generation was yeah everybody all that new generation [63:43] had to get circumcised that thing's a real thing what no just circumcision of the heart [63:50] so you gotta ask yourself what side of this argument are you on if you read acts 15. if you say it's a law and they got to [63:56] keep the whole law you're making yourself a hypocrite right but if you say it not the law then [64:02] you got to make sense of that well here's how you make sense of this is uh first this is first corinthians [64:07] chapter nine first corinthians chapter 9 give me [64:13] verse 19. [64:21] this is how you make sense of it [64:30] for though i be free from all men yet have i made myself servant unto all that i might gain the more [64:35] peace right he said though i be free from all men i'll make myself servant [64:41] so i can have peace that i might gain them all right watch this [64:49] and unto the and unto the jews i became as a jew right onto our hebrew brethren i became [64:56] a hebrew like him right from our people in judah that i might gain the people in judah righteous [65:03] to them that are under the law as under the law that i might gain them that are under the law right our brethren that keep the law [65:10] guess what when i'm with them keeping the law too [65:15] so i can gain the ones that keep the law but watch what he say next to them that are without law as [65:20] without law being not without law to god but under the law of the messiah [65:26] under the law who the messiah that i might gain them that are without law that is what clears it up for us [65:34] a lot of people don't understand that part they look at it like well it's only one loss the law of moses [65:40] no no no no no there's the law of the messiah that's the law of grace [65:49] right that's why john put him against each other he said see now the law came through moses but [65:55] grace and truth came through the messiah because he said these are two [66:00] equivalent well i want to say equivalent but these are two mechanisms the law of moses came and guess what he [66:07] gave us instruction that's what we had to do to be in the land then grace and truth come through the [66:13] messiah guess what he gave us instruction that's what we have to do to see eternal life [66:20] and guess what this deuteronomy chapter 18.
