Why did Yahuah tell Israel to wait three years before eating the fruit of a new tree? In this Sabbath lesson from Leviticus 19, Exodus 20 and Romans 8, we review the commandments and learn that the carnal mind follows its feelings, while the spiritual mind resists the flesh and obeys God. Through Leviticus 19, Deuteronomy 20 through 22 and Hagar in Genesis 16, you’ll see how the law dealt fairly with betrothed servants and captive women, and how even war had boundaries of mercy. Finally, Leviticus 19, John 15 and Galatians 5 teach that just as fruit had to wait, we have to let the word clean us over time so we can bear much fruit and be His disciples.
