Well, I'll probably bring them [00:10] after I get off work then. I work. [00:21] I just be forgetting to uh Yo, bro. I just be forgetting to get it get all this stuff. You know what I'm saying? [00:26] Like uh I'mma buy food and like leave it over here. You know what I'm saying? So like you come over here on the weekend. [00:32] Why don't you just Yeah. How about Why don't you just bring it over here, bro? Because bro, like I don't be having time. I know, but if you leave it over [00:37] here, ain't it going to go bad? Not necessarily. You know what I'm saying? Like if I bought what [00:43] happen? Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah. So if I buy like if I go to the grocery store while I'm at the grocery store and grab it, it's like, you know what? Let me [00:49] just cuz I'm probably not going to the grocery store again for the rest of the week. [00:54] Sound like you should just bring it cuz you come over here every week. But you know, you know what I'm saying? Whatever you say, it be like chips. You know what [01:00] I'm saying? Regular stuff that won't go bad. Sabbath peace. Sabbath peace. Have a little stash. [01:06] It's another opportunity for us to come together and hear and learn of the word of truth that is given to us by the most high God. All honor goes to the father [01:13] through the son whose name is Yahushua. In him lies the only hope for salvation. [01:20] Now you may forget what come next. In him lies the only hope for salvation. It is obtained by grace. [01:28] one should boast by grace through faith through faith lest anyone should boast not of works [01:35] lest anyone should boast and given freely as a gift to all who obey him. We understand that if you do not obey him, [01:42] it is made manifest or made obvious that you do not believe. In this state, you [01:47] should expect no good thing from the most high. However, anything that you do get, whether it be a gift of tongues, a [01:53] gift of prophecy, or any supernatural experience that you may have, it can and it will be used against you in the day [01:59] of judgment. With that said, peace to the saints that are in the room, to the saints that couldn't make it, but no [02:05] peace to the wicked. The only thing we say to them is repent that they might [02:11] live. Live. All right. Um, what we talk about last [02:19] week? Children. Children. [02:25] What did we talk about last week? talking about [02:37] that's cheating because we talk about that every week. But you're right technically. [02:44] No, remember we talked about Paul, right? Remember Paul, he went he he got he got he he was going back to Jerusalem, right? And what did the [02:51] prophets tell Paul when he was going back to Jerusalem? What they keep telling them? Then they tell him that he [02:56] gonna go back to Jerusalem gaffled up, wrapped up in chains, right? Then he ended up going and what happened to him? [03:02] He went there. He talked to James. Remember James was like, "Yo, relax. Why don't you, you know what I'm saying? Show the boys you keeping the law." Then [03:08] he went to the temple. Some other people saw him in the temple. Then they didn't they gaffled him up, wrapped him up just like the book said he going to do, [03:14] right? Then the Gentiles came to try to split everything up and they trying to figure out they put him on trial trying [03:19] to figure out what's going to happen. So they sent them around to a few different people. They ended up sending them to the governor. His name was I think it [03:25] was Felix, right? And they sent to the to to the governor Felix to hear his case so they can figure out what they [03:32] going to do because you remember Paul, he was talking to the Hebrews in Hebrew, but then he came around, he was looking like, you know what I'm saying? No, I'm [03:38] a Roman citizen. So they kind of nervous like, oh no, we can't just condemn a Roman citizen to death. We got to we got [03:44] to you know what I'm saying? He got rights. So then Paul, you know, he tried to talk to him. Remember they was plotting on him to kill him and all [03:50] types of stuff happening. So, we left off uh I think in the 23rd chapter of Acts and now we about to pick up in Acts [03:57] chapter 24. Yeah, that's right. This is Acts chapter 24. Give me verse one. Phil [04:03] been slipping on the intro lately. That's a fact. Sister Sharon, I just be sleepy. You know what I'm saying? I'm [04:10] out here sleepy, boy. I just need to You know what I'm saying? I just need a couple more hours of sleep, man. Who you doing, boy? It's It don't happen a lot. [04:17] I was at work. You know what I'm saying? I'm at work and you know what I'm saying? I was supposed to go to a meeting. It had to be like around 10:00. [04:24] And boy, that thing hit me. You ever had your sleep hit you? Yes. You know what I'm saying? I'm sitting there like, [04:29] "Oh." And I went into the meeting and I'm sitting down. I got to stay alert. You know what I'm saying? Cuz I'm in there with the big wigs and I'm sitting [04:35] there ready to just You know what I'm saying? I'm looking like, "Boy, I know I'm sleepy. I need to get me some sleep. [04:41] I've been staying up late for no reason. Waking up early for no reason. Marvel, [04:47] you know?" Yeah. I'm trying to do the Marvel. I'm on Loki. and watch Dragon Ball Z. [04:52] This is uh Acts chapter 24. Give me verse one. Watch what the book say. And after five days, [04:59] and Ananas the high priest descended with the elders and with a certain ortor [05:04] named Tur Tertillus, who informed the governor against Paul. And when he was called forth, Tertilus began to accuse [05:11] him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great [05:17] quietness, and that very wrothy deeds are done unto this nation by thy [05:22] providence, we accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all [05:28] thankfulness. Now, Right. So, he sent him to Felix. So, now he is this a letter? Uh, [05:34] no. Okay. So, he talking to Felix. Watch this. [05:39] We Okay. Notwithstanding that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee [05:45] that thou would hear us of thy clemency a few words. For we have found this man [05:50] a pestilent fellow and a mover of sedition among the Jews throughout the world and a ringleer of the sect of the [05:57] Nazarines. Right? So he basically he's laying out a case against him. He's like, "Okay, so look, this is what we [06:02] found. He's a troublemaker." You know what I'm saying? We found this guy a troublemaker. He around there with the [06:08] Hebrews. He's starting trouble over there. And apparently he's with some some sect. When you say sect, think of [06:14] it like think of it like a denomination. A faction. A faction, right? A group, a [06:20] gang. You know what I'm saying? So, he's with he's with the uh he's with the [06:25] faction or the group or the denomination of the Nazarines, right? And that's the [06:31] people from Nazareth. Talking about Yahushua because remember Yahushua was from Nazareth. So that's how people knew [06:36] him. They looked at him like, "Oh, that's that boy from Nazareth, Eli." Right? Put that away. So he's looking at him and he's like, "Okay, him. Bring him [06:44] over here. He's a troublemaker. Let's talk through it." Keep going. [06:50] Who also has done about to profane the temple whom we took and would have judged according to our law. For the [06:57] chief captain, Lysus, came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands, commanding his accusers to [07:04] come unto thee by examining of whom thyself may take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him. And the [07:10] Jews also ascended, saying that these things were so. Ascented, saying, these things were so, [07:16] excuse me. Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, [07:23] For as much as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do more cheerfully answer for [07:29] myself, because that thou may understand that they there are yet but 12 days [07:34] since I went up to Jerusalem from to work for to worship. And they neither found me in the temple disputing with [07:40] any man, neither rising up raising up the temple, neither in the synagogues nor in the city. Right? So Paul [07:46] basically saying they lying. Ain't nobody saw me causing no trouble. You know what I'm saying? Doing anything I [07:53] wasn't supposed to be doing. These people are lying on me. That's what he pretty much saying. Keep going. [07:59] Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. Right? All this stuff they saying about me, they can't prove it. Right? Keep going. But [08:06] this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I, the God of my fathers, believing all [08:13] things which are written in the law and in the prophets. Right. So you got to realize the same word that the man used [08:19] when he was introducing Paul and he is laying the case against him. He said the sect of the Nazarines, right? That word [08:27] sect is the same word is heresy, right? So it means denomination or a group or [08:33] faction, right? So basically he's saying what they call a denomination or a group [08:39] or a faction or a gang. What they calling that Keep going. Read it again. [08:45] I mean, but this I confess unto thee that after the way which they call heresies, right? So after the way that [08:51] which they call a sect or a denomination or a fashion uh faction, keep going. So [08:56] worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets. Right? So you see he never accepted he never [09:04] accepted the fact that they call him the sect of the Nazarines. It's not like [09:09] it's not like he said I am that is true. I'm the sect. He's like, "No, based off of what they call the sect, right? Based [09:17] off of what they call the heresy. Yeah, I worship God." Right? Notice how he is. [09:22] He's very clever with his words. A lot of us sometimes we want to get into an argument, right? I was at the barber [09:28] shop on Thursday and and you know what I'm saying? My boy, he asked me, he's like, "Yeah, so uh you know, they always [09:34] try to be respectful." Uh you know what I'm saying? So what what what is y'all again? I was like, "What you mean?" You [09:40] know what I'm I'm a Hebrew 100%. And he is looking like Hebrew. I was like, well, what are you asking me? What do [09:46] you mean? What am I? He was like, you know what I'm saying? Like, what y'all believe? You know what I'm saying? Cuz like y'all believe the Bible, right? I [09:51] was like, oh yeah. You know what I'm saying? Well, disciples of the Messiah. You know what I'm saying? He was like, oh, all right. And he tried to act like [09:57] he heard or something like that before. I was like, you ain't never heard it in your darn life. Cut it out. You know what I'm saying? Don't just go ahead keep asking questions. Ask the next one. [10:03] He's like, "Oh, okay. Well, I was going to ask." He's like, "No, man." You know what I'm saying? my man down here, he [10:09] was wondering if you was a Hebrew Israelite. And I was like, "Oh, okay. Yeah, let me talk to him." You know what [10:15] I'm saying? And so he got to talking. He was like, "So, you a Hebrew Israelite, right?" And I was like, "Well, I'm a [10:20] disciple of the Messiah." He was like, "Well, yeah." You know what I'm saying? But you believe the Bible, the whole Bible. I was like, "Yeah." He like, [10:26] "Okay." Yeah. And then he looked at, you know what I'm saying? He looked at the homie. He was looking like, "Yeah." See, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like [10:31] Christians. You know what I'm saying? So I look at him, I say, "Well, you know [10:36] what I'm saying? We believe the Bible and yeah, some people going to consider that Christian, but what we actually are [10:42] is disciples of the Messiah." Period. Right? You can tell Paul is trying to [10:48] avoid a silly argument, right? Of course he can argue back be like, "Sect that at [10:53] a Nazarene. That ain't even a thing. That's not what we are. We disciples this, that, and another." He could have did that. But he's trying to avoid that [11:00] whole argument. He's saying, "Okay, well, yeah, what he was talking about when he was talking about a sect of the Nazarene after that way, that's I [11:08] believe on Yahweh. I believe on God's directly from the scriptures." Right? So [11:14] now it just dispels that as an argument and now you can avoid that. You don't have to I'm like Paul's looking like I'm [11:20] really trying to get a point across. Like I'm really trying to talk I'm not about to sit here and argue with you about oh Christian or Hebrew Israelite [11:27] or you know what I'm saying? No. What I'm about to do is teach you the truth. Right? The rest of the nomenclature and [11:34] all that, we can get that figured out. Right? Right now, I'm trying to teach you the truth. Keep going. Watch this. [11:41] And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of [11:47] the just and unjust. And herein do I exercise myself to have always a conscience void of offense toward God [11:54] and toward men. Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation and offerings whereupon certain Jews from [12:00] Asia found me purified in the temple neither with multitude nor with tumo who [12:06] ought to have been here before thee and object if they had ought against me. Right? He is like and the boys that [12:12] started this ain't even here. You know what I'm saying? You would think the boys that had the main complaint, they [12:19] not even here. If they really had a problem with me, they can they can call me a liar to my face. But guess what? [12:25] They're not even here, right? Keep going. Watch this. Or else let these same here say, if they have found any [12:31] evildoing in me while I stood before the council, except it be for this one voice that I cried standing among them, [12:37] touching the resurrection of the dead, I am called questioned by you this day. And when Felix heard these things, [12:42] having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them and said, "When [12:48] Lysus, the chief captain, shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter." And he commanded a centurion to [12:53] keep Paul and to let him have liberty and that he should forbid none of his acquaintances to minister or come unto [12:59] him. And after certain days when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a [13:04] Jews, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith of the Messiah. And [13:09] as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled and answered, "Go thy way for [13:16] this time, when I have a convenient season, I will call forth thee." He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul that he might lose [13:23] him. Wherefore he sent for him the offender the he sent for him the off [13:28] oftoner and communed with him. But after two years Porsus Fesus came unto Felix [13:34] room Felix's room and Felix willing to show the Jews a pleasure left Paul bound. [13:39] Right? So now Felix he got to talking to him. Felix looking like okay. You know what I'm saying? All right. All right. I [13:45] feel you. Listen. You know what I'm saying? And then he started wanting money from Paul. So what he was trying to do is like, you know what I'm saying? [13:51] Like eventually Paul going to try to pay me off and if he pay me off, I'll let him lose. So it looked like Paul never [13:56] paid him, right? So he he kept on talking to Paul. He had talked to him often. You know what I'm saying? Just [14:02] having regular conversations with him, trying to get a relationship so that he'll pay him off to let him loose. But [14:07] he never did. But then he also made friends with his accusers. And so his [14:12] accusers was looking like, "No, man. We cool. Keep him bound up, man. Don't don't don't let them loose. Don't take him out of jail yet. I was in jail for [14:19] two years. So, he didn't do it. He left him in there, right? That's the end of 24. Yeah. Uh, okay. Let's go to uh [14:26] chapter 25. Skip on. Jump on down to verse 8. This is uh Acts chapter 25. [14:31] Let's jump on down to verse 8. Watch what the book say. While he answered for himself, neither against the law of the [14:37] Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar have I offended anything at all. Mhm. But Fesus, willing [14:43] to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul and said, "Will you go up to Jerusalem and there be judged of these things [14:48] before me?" Then said Paul, "I stand at Caesar's judgment seat where I ought to be judged. To the Jews have I done no [14:55] wrong, and thou are thou as thou very well know." Right? So basically, you got [15:01] to understand politically the position that these Gentiles is in, right? They're dealing with a Hebrew. So he [15:07] looked like somebody we could do whatever we want to. but he's actually a Roman citizen. So if they get caught [15:14] treating him however they want to treat him, then they going to be held accountable to the judge. So it'll be just like a judge here that's racist, [15:22] right? So it's like there's a black person and I can probably get away with it, but at the same time, this black [15:29] person got a little bit of notoriety in the community in the community. So it's like if I do too much, I'mma get in [15:37] trouble, right? So that's what they trying to judge. So now basically what they're trying to tell him is all right [15:43] well you want to go back to Jerusalem, you want to go back to what you call home and be judged there. So Paul know [15:51] if you take him back to Jerusalem all the Hebrews is going to look at him and be like no put him to death. So he like [15:58] no I'm a Roman citizen. You know what I'm saying? You supposed to be I already appealed to Caesar, right? He appealed [16:04] to Caesar back in Jerusalem. So he looking like I already appealed to Caesar. So guess where I'm supposed to be? In front of Caesar. They scared to [16:11] take him to Caesar cuz they know that they messed up along the way and it might backfire on them. And then also [16:18] they don't know exactly how to charge him. So they like they taking him Caesar now. It's like I don't know like he [16:26] started a riot like I don't know. You know what I'm saying? Can't nobody prove it. But they already punished him for [16:33] something that can't be proven. So now it's like they have to find a crime so that they can justify the fact [16:40] that we already put this man in custody. We had him locked up all this time. So now they're taking them to all these [16:46] different governors so the governor can look at it to try to find a loophole like, "Oh, okay. He broke a law right [16:52] there." But they can't really find nothing on them, right? All they got is what the Hebrews is saying. The people [16:58] who originally accused them ain't even showing up. You know what I'm saying? So, it's a it's just a big mess that [17:04] they trying to unravel before it get too big and he end up going to Caesar and everybody get in trouble. Right. Keep [17:10] going. Watch this. For if I be an offender or have committed anything worthy of death, I [17:17] refuse not to die. But if there be of none of these things whereof thee accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I [17:24] appeal unto Caesar. Then Fesus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, "Hast thou appeared unto [17:30] Caesar? unto Caesar you shall go. And after certain days, King Agria and Bernese came unto Cesaria to salute [17:37] Fesus. And when they had been there many days, Fesus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, "There's a certain man [17:44] left in bonds by Felix." So look, Felix got a certain man in jail right now. He [17:50] telling, look, he telling King a grip of this. So this another this another governor. He's a king. But here's [17:56] another another ruler who they trying to take him to to try to get some advice. So look, he said [18:02] Felix left this boy. This is uh Fesus talking. So Fesus is talking to King [18:08] Agria. And he's saying, "Man, that boy Felix got this boy locked up right now." [18:13] Right? Keep going. Watch this. About whom when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment [18:19] against him. To whom I answered, "It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die. for that which he is [18:25] accused have the accusers face to face and have license to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him. [18:31] Therefore, when they were come here without any delay on the marorrow, I sat on the judgment seat and commanded the [18:38] man be brought forth against whom when the accuser stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I suppose. [18:46] but had certain. So in other words, what he's saying is when I said at judgment because they was trying to get my man's [18:51] killed, he looking like, "Oh, when I sit on the judgment, I'm about to hear how Paul had a sword. He didn't cut a whole [18:58] bunch of people up." Like he think he about to hear a real crime. And he said when they came accusing him, they [19:04] accusing of stuff that I didn't expect. I didn't suppose, right? He looking like I didn't expect to hear the stuff that [19:10] they talking about. Nothing that they said was worthy of death. Right. Keep [19:15] going. Watch this. But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, right? He like they these [19:21] like them religious nut jobs and they talking to him about temples and all this stuff. Like that's their own stuff. [19:27] It don't have nothing to do with Roman law. But part of Roman law is to enforce the local laws. You know what I'm [19:33] saying? So he's caught in a conundrum. Right. Keep going. against him of their own superstition, [19:40] and of one Yahosua, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive. And because I [19:45] doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these [19:50] matters. But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept [19:56] till I might send him to Caesar. Then the gri then the grippa said unto Fesus, I would also hear the man myself. [20:03] Tomorrow, said, I would also hear the man myself. Tomorrow, said he, thou shalt hear him. And on the tomorrow, [20:09] when a gripple was come, and Bernice with great pomp, and was entered into the into the place of hearing with the [20:15] chief captains and principal men of the city at Fesus's commandment, Paul was brought forth. And Fesa said, King [20:22] Agria, and all men which are present with us, ye see this man about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt [20:28] with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer. But when I found that he had [20:35] committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself has appeared to Augustus, I have determined to send him [20:41] of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and especially [20:48] before thee, O king Agria, that after examination had I might have somewhat to write. For it seems to me unreasonable [20:55] to send a prisoner, and not with all to signify the crimes laid against him. Right? So he's saying it don't make [21:01] sense to me to send this man all the way to Caesar and I don't even really have a [21:06] good crime to write down for him. I don't have nothing to charge him with. Right. That's what they're concerned [21:12] about. They looking like, "Okay, well like hear him out and see if you can find an angle, at least something that [21:17] we can put on his jacket." Meanwhile, they got the man locked up. Right. Keep going. [21:28] Then a grippa said unto Paul, "Thou are permitted to speak for thyself." This chapter 6, I mean 26. Yeah, this chapter [21:36] 26. What? Verse one. Yeah, this chapter 26 verse one. Watch what the book say. Then Paul stretched forth his hand and [21:42] answered for himself. I think myself happy, King Agria, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee, [21:48] touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews, especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs [21:54] and questions which are among the Jews. Right? So he talking to King Agria and he got happy. He said, "Oh, now I'm [22:00] happy because I feel like you know our customs." He he said that he believes [22:07] that King A grippa is familiar with our laws and with our customs, the things that we do, the way that we live. Right? [22:14] So he like, "Man, I'm happy to tell you this stuff to you." So now watch how he talked to King Agria. Wherefore I [22:20] beseech thee to hear me patiently. my manner of life from my youth which was at the first among mine own nation at [22:27] Jerusalem know all the Jews which knew me from the beginning if they would testify that after the most straightest [22:33] sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee right so he's telling them he's like man a lot of these boys know me these boys [22:41] know who I am I'm telling you if they would tell the truth they know who I am from my youth how I get it right man [22:50] these boys know where I'm from it. Ain't nobody more strength than a Pharisee and that's where I come from. [22:57] Right? He trying to tell him. So King A grippa is already he can talk. Notice the look at the difference in the way [23:02] that he talking to King Agria. King of Gria understand these things. So he talking to King. He just giving it up to [23:08] King of Gria. Watch this. Keep going. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our [23:14] fathers. Unto which promise are 12 tribes instantly instantly serving God [23:19] day and night hope to come. For which hope say King Agria I am accused of the Jews. Right? He said for which our 12 [23:26] tribes do what? Hope. Right. That's all the tribes. Keep [23:32] going. Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you that God should [23:37] raise the dead? I verily thought with myself that I ought to do many things [23:42] contrary to the name of Yahosua of Nazareth, which thing I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints did, I [23:49] shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests. And when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. And I punished them [23:56] often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly mad against them, [24:02] I persecuted them even unto the unto strange cities. Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission [24:08] from the chief priests at midday, oh king, I saw on the way a light from heaven above above the brightness of the [24:14] sun shining round about me and them which journey with me. Right? So think of it. You ever seen the movie where uh [24:22] you know uh you know I've been watching Marvel so you got Thor, right? In the movie Thor, you know what I'm saying? He [24:27] lift up his hammer and he call on uh what's his name? Hangd Doll. What's his name? Heimd Doll. Heimd Doll. He called [24:34] he called on Heimd Doll, you know what I'm saying? And Heimd Doll is send that rainbow beam on and it's a beam that [24:40] just come down. It's a rainbow beam and then it zip it zips him up. You know what I'm saying? So like that's what [24:46] Paul kind of experienced except it wasn't a rainbow. It was just a bright light. You know what I'm saying? So he's looking and he's trying to retell. He is [24:53] like, "Man, I remember we was on our way to what? Damascus. Damascus. We was on our way to Damascus." You know what I'm [25:00] saying? And all of a sudden we riding. We almost there. And in a bright light, he say brighter than the sun. It just [25:08] surrounded me. Right. Keep going. Watch this. And when we were falling to the [25:13] earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me and saying in a Hebrew tongue, s [25:19] why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Right? So he said, man, I heard a voice. You [25:26] know what I'm saying? And when I heard that voice, it was telling me, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It got [25:33] to be hard to kick against the golds. So remember we talked about what a gold is. A gold is kind of like a little spear, [25:40] but it's not meant like a spear is a weapon. It's meant to hurt somebody or kill somebody, right? The gold is a [25:47] little different. It's kind of like a spear. It's a little sharp at the end, but it's not really meant to kill nobody [25:52] or do no real damage to anybody. It's just meant to like just prick, you know what I'm saying, at an animal so that [25:58] the animal go, you know what I'm saying? If somebody poke you right here, what's going to happen? You go, "Oh, you know what I'm saying? You go like that. Move [26:04] to the side." So if you got you a big old cow, you know what I'm saying? Who ever seen a cow, you know what I'm saying? You see a big old cow, you can't [26:11] move a cow. You trying to push a cow, it ain't going to move. It's too sturdy. So you try to push a cow, just like that [26:17] cow going to look at you, you know what I'm saying? Just stand there, right? So what you do is you get [26:23] you a little gold and when you want that cow to move out the way all you do is just poke him a little bit and then he [26:30] feel that poke and he say and then he start moving out the way cuz he don't want to get poked no more. So that's what the gold is. So imagine a cow that [26:38] you're trying to poke to get out the way but that cow keeps kicking against the [26:43] poke. So you poking it that way but it keep going against the poke. How do you think that makes the cow feel? [26:50] angry. It's going to hurt, right? And so that's what Yah is telling Paul. He's [26:55] like, Paul, like I'm trying to poke you to move out the way, but you keep [27:01] kicking against the the prick or kicking against the gold, right? So he he's [27:06] trying to explain to him like you're going in other words, it's another way of saying you're going against the grain. You ever heard that phrase [27:12] before? You going somebody going against the grain. Like you're going against the grain. You're making it harder on [27:18] yourself is what he's trying to tell you, right? All you got to do is do what I'm telling you to do. You're making it harder on yourself. So Paul heard this [27:25] voice, right? Keep going. And I said, "Who art thou, master?" And he said, "I am Yahosua, whom you persecute. But rise [27:32] and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness, both [27:37] of these things which thou have seen, and of those things in which will I which I will appear unto thee, [27:43] delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I now send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn [27:50] them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and [27:55] inherit among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Grippa, I was not disobedient unto [28:02] the heavenly vision, but showed first unto them of Damascus and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coast of Judah, [28:09] and and then to the Gentiles that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meek for repentance. [28:15] For these causes, the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. Having therefore obtained help of God, I [28:22] continued unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and [28:28] Moses did say should come. Right? So he's telling he's looking like, man, look, I came out of all that stuff. I [28:34] saw the vision. I didn't hesitate. I I was obedient to what Yah called me to [28:40] do. So I went out and I'm teaching the Gentiles and everybody else. This is how you enter into the kingdom, right? [28:46] Through faith, right? So Paul, the sister asked, she's like, "Did he say he was a Pharisee?" Yeah, that's what he [28:52] said. He said he's a Pharisee. He was a Pharisee. Right. And then uh she then the sister, let me see. She said, "Is he [28:59] saying is he saying he's no longer a Pharisee, but only when in trouble under [29:04] the Roman law?" So no, he's not he's not saying that he's recalling his past life. Yeah. He's telling B. You have to [29:11] you have to you have to look at it from his position, right? You have people who keep the law telling [29:19] Paul that he's trying to speak against the law. Right? So they treating him [29:25] like like he's some random sinner. So Paul is is basically going to them [29:31] saying that doesn't even make sense. Ask them boys who I am. They know me. They [29:38] knew me from a young boy. I was a Pharisee. I kept the law more than they did. Right? That's that's the point he's [29:44] trying to make. He's saying I came from the strictest sect of our people, which [29:49] is the Pharisees. So he's like, "That's how I was grown up. That's how I used to give it up. I used to be the one doing [29:56] what they do, and I went further than they went." So he's doing all this to get credibility. He's basically saying, [30:02] "I'm not I'm not just somebody who just popped up and just start believing something. No, I like I advance past [30:10] everybody who's accusing me something. everything that they believe. I've advanced past what they believe. [30:17] He basically saying, "I am the graduation of where you guys are." Like, I made it to the next step. They're [30:23] still lagging behind. It's not like he's doing something totally different. He's further along on the path, right? So, [30:30] yeah, he's not saying I I'm not a Pharisee, but I am a Pharisee right now because I think it'll get me out of [30:35] trouble. Right? What he's trying to say is this is like this is my credibility. These are my credentials to be able to [30:42] speak on this matter. I was raised as a Pharisee and everybody respect the [30:47] Pharisees. It's like I'm from the hood. I'm the OG and I got the little homies trying to question me. Exactly. [30:55] That my little No, that am I a little [31:02] Keep going. that the Messiah should suffer and that he should be the first that that should rise from the dead and [31:09] show light unto the people and to the Gentiles. And as he thus spake for himself, Fesus said with a loud voice, [31:15] "Paul, thou art beside thyself. Much learning does make thee mad." Right. So [31:21] that was Fesus. Uh wait, I think there was a grippa. Oh, Fesus. Yeah, Fesus. So [31:26] Fesus, Fesus, remember he's talking to a grippa. King Agria understands these [31:32] things. So Fesus is on the side. You remember Fesus is the one. So it started [31:37] with Felix, right? Felix was the governor. Then Felix was like, "Man, go holler at Fesus." So Fes is like, "Man, [31:43] let me try to clean this thing up." Then Fesus is holling at uh King of Gria. So [31:48] he's like, "All right, man. Look, King Gria, why don't you listen to him?" So Fesus is listening to Paul talk to King [31:54] of Grippa. Right? Remember, Fesus has heard this already, but not with this [31:59] detail. Like he's going he's going into a little bit more detail with King of Grippa because he feels like King Agria [32:06] understands these things, right? These are things that Fesus won't understand. So sure enough, when when Paul got done [32:14] talking about all this stuff, Fes is looking at him like, "Well, that boy what is you even talking about? [32:19] People raising from the dead." And this is like, "What in the world, boy? You doing too much reading, boy. You smart, [32:26] but you doing too much. You got to leave that stuff alone, boy. You know what I'm saying? He looking at him like, "This [32:31] dude is crazy. I see how why they want you dead. You're talking crazy talk." But watch King of Gripper. Watch this. [32:38] But he said, "I am not mad, most noble Fesus, but speak forth the words of truth and soberness." For the king [32:45] knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely, for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden [32:51] from him. for this thing was not done in the corner. Right? So he's telling him he look back at Fes looking like, "No, I [32:57] ain't crazy." You know what I'm saying? I'm telling you the truth. You know what I'm saying? And the king, he he kind of [33:03] talk about like he ain't even there. And the king, you got to imagine him, he looking right at Fesus. You know what I'm saying? King of Gripper right over [33:09] here. And the king know exactly what I'm talking about because what I'm talking about didn't happen in no little corner. [33:15] In other words, like it wasn't a secret. Everybody know what I'm talking about if you from where we from. Right? So he [33:21] looking like the king know exactly what I'm talking about. Say now I like to imagine he look back over at the king like huh? You know what I'm saying? Say [33:27] something. You know what I'm saying? Now watch this. King of grip king a gripper believe the prophets. I know that you [33:33] believe. Right? So he look at king of grippa is like don't you believe the prophets? I know you believe the [33:39] prophets. You know what I'm saying? I know you believe our stuff. I know you king a gripper. You know what I'm [33:44] saying? Don't you believe the prophet? I know you believe. Watch this. Then the grippa said unto Paul, "Almost thou [33:50] persuadest me to be a Christian." Right? So then King Aria looked at him and King of Gria kind of acknowledging like [33:58] you convincing boy cuz King of Griin know our stuff. He know the prophets. He [34:03] understands our history. He understands like he understands where we from, right? So then when he said it to him, [34:10] you remember Fesus don't get it. So Fesus is looking at him like, "Man, this boy is crazy." So when Paul turned [34:16] around, he talking to Fezil like, "No, I'm not crazy. I'm telling you the truth. Matter of fact, I know you think [34:22] it's crazy, but King Aria know exactly what I'm talking about. King of Gripper, from where I'm from, King of Grippa, [34:27] don't you believe the prophets? I know you believe the prophets, King Aria." Right? And then King of Gripper turned [34:33] around like, "Look, bro, you almost convinced me to be a darn Christian." Right? Because that's what they called [34:39] the disciples. The Romans called the disciples Christians, right? So he [34:44] looking like, "Man, you almost convinced me to be a darn Christian." Right? Now, watch how Paul can argue about being a [34:51] Christian. Right? Just like when they said the sect of the Nazarines, he could have argued about that. Here, he's [34:58] calling him a Christian. He Paul technically could have argued about that like, "No, no, no, no. We called to be [35:03] disciples, this, that, and another." But watch how Paul handles it. Watch this. And Paul said, "I would to God that not [35:10] only you, but also all that hear me this day were both almost and altogether such [35:15] as I am accept these bonds." Right? So instead of him going back and forth of [35:20] whether he's a Christian or a disciple and all that, he bypasses it. He never [35:26] acknowledges and accepts that he's a Christian cuz he's not, right? But at the same time, he bypasses and say, "You [35:32] know what? I wish that everybody who was listening was all together just like me [35:39] in everything that I'm talking about, but not including the fact that I'm locked up, right? I wish all y'all who's [35:48] in my hearing could be just like me. You know what I'm saying? And believe the [35:53] same thing that I believed in and they weren't they didn't have to be locked up to do it. Right. So that's his way of [36:00] basically bypassing like I know you called me a Christian. That's not accurate, but never mind that. I do want [36:06] you to be just like me, right? I do want you to believe exactly what I believe. Right? So now let's [36:13] go check that out. Uh let's uh let's keep going. Watch this. And when he had thus spoken, the [36:20] king rose up and the governor and Bernice, and they sat with him. And when [36:25] they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, "This man does nothing worthy of death or of [36:30] bonds." Then said a grippa unto Fesus, "This man might have been set at liberty if he had not appealed unto Caesar." [36:36] Right? So King Agria like, "No, I don't play about the rules now." He's saying technically I would have let him free, [36:43] but he appealed to Caesar, so he get to see Caesar. So King of Gria basically [36:49] saying, "Y'all messed up. Y'all messed up." cuz he's really not even supposed to be locked up. And now [36:56] he appealed to Caesar. So this whole situation about to get reviewed. So you know what I mean? Send him on up. Right. [37:03] Keep going. Watch this. That's the end of the chapter. Yeah. [37:08] This is uh uh Acts chapter 27 verse one. [37:13] And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto [37:18] one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus band. Why are they going to Why are they going to Italy? Because he got [37:24] to go see Caesar in Rome, right? Rome is in Italy. So that's where he has to go [37:30] because that's where Caesar is. Also known as Augustus, right? That's where Caesar is. So now he [37:37] has to go to Rome and he has to go see Caesar. So now they're going to Italy. Watch this. And entering into a ship of [37:45] a dreadium. We launched, meaning to sail by the coast of Asia, one Aristoarkus, a [37:53] Macedonian of Thessalonica being with us. And the next day we touched at Zidon. And Julius courteously entreated [38:01] Paul and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself. And when we had launched from Vince, we sailed under [38:07] Cyprus because the winds were contrary. And when we had sailed over the sea of Cissia and Pamilia, we came to Myra, a [38:15] city of Lysia. And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing to [38:20] Italy and put put us therein. And when we had sailed slowly many days, and [38:25] scarce and scarce were come over against Snidius, the wind not suffering us, we [38:31] sailed under cit over against Salmon, and hardly passing it come unto a place [38:37] which is called the fair he havens. Nigh where unto was the city of Lassia. When [38:43] much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already passed, Paul admonished [38:50] them, and said unto them, sers, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the [38:56] landing and ship, deating and ship, but also of our lives. Right? So, he's [39:01] telling them, he's like, listen, I he's saying, I proceed. But in other words, like I got a message from the most high [39:07] God that this about to be a tough ride, right? So they selling the ship and they going they going all along the coast, [39:14] right? So they went down to Alexandria. That would be Egypt, right? So they going down towards Egypt. Then they got [39:20] on another ship and started to come up, right? And so they're supposed to be going to Italy. I ain't going to pull up the map, but if you look at if you look [39:27] at Italy from where they are now, Italy is going to be to the west. It's going to be north and to the west, right? So [39:33] they had to they they could have swore north and west, but the way the routes go, they got it's like catching a bus. [39:39] It's like we getting on this ship to go here cuz they didn't have their own ship. So they went on this ship to go [39:44] here, then they hopping on the next ship to go there. So they like catching a bus to get to where they at. So they went down first, then they coming up, but [39:50] then it's like, okay, well now the weather bad, right? Or now this is going on, or now this is going on. So they [39:56] dealing with bad weather, right? Keep going. Watch this. [40:08] Nevertheless, the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship more than those things which were spoken of [40:13] by Paul. Mhm. And because the the haven was not commodious in to winter in, the [40:20] more part advised to depart from there also, if by any means they might attain to Fenus, and there to winter, which is [40:27] an haven of Cree, and lith toward the southwest and northwest. And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that [40:34] they had obtained their purpose, lose loosing, they sailed by Cree, close by [40:40] Creek. But not along not long after there arose against it a tempestuous [40:45] wind called Eurocaidon. Right? So now the weather hitting hard, right? A [40:51] tempestuous wind. That just mean a heavy wind, a storm, right? It's hitting the ship at this point. So now it get And [40:58] now it gets shaky, right? You in the ship and they got a sail on it. And the wind hit so hard the whole boat start to [41:05] turn like this. So everybody on the ship like this. Oh. And then stuff. You got barrels and stuff rolling, hitting [41:11] against the side. Then guess what? What happened with water? When it go one way, going to come back the other way, ain't [41:17] it? So now you on the ship and it go like that. Everything roll to this side. Then guess what? Yo, then you roll back [41:23] on this side. So everybody scared cuz it feel like the boat about to tip over. Watch this. And when the ship was caught [41:29] and could not bear up into the wind, we let her dry. And running under a certain [41:34] island which is called Claudia. Claud we had much work to come by the boat which [41:40] when they had taken up they used helps undergirling the ship and fearing lest [41:46] they should fall into the quicksands strike sail and so were driven right. So now when they when they when they were [41:53] so deep into the water and it was rocking the ship they looking like okay we got to get near land. So they went to [41:59] this island but then when they got to the island it was quick sand. So it was wet sand that was coming. You know what [42:05] I'm saying? that was that was getting into the boat. So, it was more stable, but they was fair. They was afraid that they would get stuck. So, then they go [42:12] they went ahead and anchored down, stayed in the water so that they wouldn't get stuck. Right? Watch this. [42:20] And we being exceedingly tossed with the tempest. The next day, they lightened the ship. And the third day, we cast [42:26] with we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship. Right? So now because the ship is rocking back and [42:33] forth, they think it's going to sink. So what they said is, "Okay, we got to get some of the weight off of the ship cuz [42:39] if we don't get some of the weight and it's too heavy, we're going to sink with all this wind." So they started to throw [42:44] stuff off of the sh the the ship, right? Throwing stuff off. Okay, do anybody need that? We don't need that. We don't [42:50] need They throwing it off. Okay, that's too heavy. Get rid of that. Boom. So they throwing off as much as they can. Then they throwing off parts of the [42:56] ship. So, not only just equipment that they brought on the ship, now it's different parts of the ship. They unscrewing it and throwing it off just [43:02] to just to make the ship lighter. Right. Keep going. And the third day we cast we cast out with our own hands the tackling [43:09] of the ship. And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us. All hope that [43:16] we should be saved was lost was taken away. Was taken away. But after long [43:21] abstinence, so look, many days he said passed and they didn't see the sun. They [43:28] didn't see the stars, right? That's how everything was just pitch black. Why might that be? [43:37] How would it how would many days p pass by, but they didn't see the sun or the stars? [43:45] That's how bad the storm was. That's how thick the clouds were, right? [43:51] It's just dark all day, all night. They in the water on this little island and [43:56] they looking like, man, I don't know how far we about to get. First time I seen [44:01] real dark clouds. Texas, they got them. Yeah, they be dark. I ain't never seen [44:07] nothing like Yeah, they be dark, right? Keep going. Watch this. [44:15] But after long abstinence, Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, "Sers, you should have hearkened unto me [44:21] and not have loose from cre to have the gain to have gained this harm and loss." Right? So Paul had enough. Paul's just [44:28] kind of sitting there. Remember Paul in jail. So he just sitting there in chains and just kind of watching. Everybody [44:34] freaking out. They throwing stuff off of the boat. They look like we're all going to die. We haven't seen the sunlight. We [44:40] don't even know where we are right now. like they all freaking out. So Paul just sitting there kind of like, "All right." [44:46] You know what I'm saying? After a while, he had enough. He looking like, "Look, look, sir." You know what I'm saying? [44:51] Y'all should have listened to me because I told y'all if we take this trip, it's going to come with hurt. And I told you [44:58] it wasn't just about the ship. It's going to be lives, right? But watch what Paul say. And now I exhort you to be of [45:05] good cheer, for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night [45:12] the angel of God whose I am and whom I serve, saying, Fear not, Paul, thou must [45:17] be brought before Caesar, and lo, God has given thee all them that sail with thee. Wherefore, sers, be of good cheer, [45:24] for I believe God, that it shall be, even as it was told to me. How be it, we must be cast upon a certain island. But [45:32] when the 14th night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria about [45:37] midnight, the shipman deemed the shipment deemed that they drew near to some country. Right? So now they on the [45:43] move again. Paul just told him, Paul's like, "Listen, look, y'all should have listened to me." But the angel came to [45:50] me. He told me everything going to be all right. He told me that everybody with me is going to be saved. They going [45:56] to be all right, right? Y'all going to be delivered from this ship, right? He said, "We gonna lose no human life [46:04] except the ship." So the ship, he's saying the ship is going to be destroyed. It's done. You know what I'm [46:10] saying? But as long as y'all listen to me, y'all going to survive this thing. He's like, "What's going to happen is we [46:17] going to go to a different land or a different island and we're going to crash land on that island." He telling [46:22] them how it's about to play out, right? Then you got to imagine they they listening to him. But just think about [46:27] how crazy it is. The wind blowing. Everybody feel like they about to die and you had this dude walking up calmly [46:33] like, "Hey, I'm trying to tell y'all y'all should have listened to me." This that and the other. You meanwhile you throwing stuff off of the boat trying to [46:39] like survive and he just calmly like in chains. Look what I'm telling you. And he's a p prisoner. Not everybody know [46:46] his story. So some of them is looking at him like, "Boy, you would tell me anything to escape." Yeah. If it's [46:51] something, right? They think he trying to get out of jail free. So he looking at him like, you know what I'm saying? So you got to imagine they looking at [46:57] him like, you know what I'm saying? We ain't listening to you. We trying to survive out here. They think they saving [47:02] Paul life. Meanwhile, Paul got a message from the most high God. Like, I'm saving y'all life. Right. Watch this. Keep [47:09] going. Daddy, can I eat? [47:20] Sure. Uh, ain't no milk or milk. Ain't no dairy in it. Oh, well, no. Sorry. Sorry. [47:28] But when the wait and but when the 14th night was come, as we [47:34] had driven up and down Adria about midnight, the shipment deemed that they drew near to some country and sounded [47:39] and founded 20 fathoms. And when they had gone a little further, they sounded again and founded 15 fathoms. Right? So [47:46] they can't see anything. So what they're doing right now is pretty much sonar, right? So they send a sound and they [47:53] wait for the sound to come back to vibrate back to right and based off of [47:59] that they calculate the distance based off of the speed of sound. Right? So they looking at it they play a sound [48:05] they say right and they wait for that boom to echo back. And when that boom echoes [48:11] back it means that it must have hit something solid and then echoed back at us. And so they look at how long it [48:18] takes for it to echo back and they say, "Okay, that means we this far away. Okay, we only one mile away now." And [48:25] they use it, it's pretty much sonar, right? What people call sonar now where you use sonar like a radar, you know [48:30] what I'm saying? To to to figure out, you know what I'm saying? How far something is or what what hard objects [48:35] are around you. Keep going. Watch this. Then fearing less we should have fallen [48:41] upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern and wish for the day. Right. So after that they can't see a [48:49] thing but the the but the sonar is making them feel like we getting close to land. So just in case and they don't [48:55] know how fast they going. They don't know how slow they going. So just in case they like all right look just in case we about to run into some land [49:02] right now cuz you in a you in a ship. If you run into the land too hard what's going to happen? Ship going to wreck. [49:08] Y'all going to crash. Ship going to wreck. Everybody gonna die. Just like crashing a car, right? You might be [49:13] going you might be going 50 miles an hour, 60 miles an hour on the water just [49:19] because the water is a it's a storm. So the water and the wind is probably pushing you fast. You might be going [49:25] even faster than that. And then you hit the land like that, the whole ship rip apart and everybody go flying and people [49:31] die, right? So they trying to avoid that from happening. So they looking like, uh, okay, throw the anchors out, all [49:38] four of them things, because the anchors are going to slow the ship down if they are going too fast, right? Keep going. [49:45] And it's hard to know how fast you going because you can't see. And all you got is a bunch of wind blowing. So when [49:51] you're going fast in a car and you roll down the window, what does it feel like? [49:57] Cuz you can feel the wind, right? Your hair blowing, all that. So it's like, woo, we going fast. Now imagine it being [50:03] pitch black, right? And somebody got a big fan outside of the window of the car [50:08] and the car is in park. You wouldn't know if you going fast or if that's just a big fan on the outside because it [50:15] feels the same. So that's how they are right now. They feel the boat rocking. They don't know. It's like, are we going [50:20] super fast or is it just hard wind or what? Just to be safe, throw them darn [50:27] anchors out there. Right. So they threw the anchors out and then watch what happened. And as the shipmen were about [50:34] to flee out of the ship when they had let down the boat into the sea under color under color as though they What [50:41] vers uh 30 30 as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship. Paul [50:46] said to the centurion and to the soldiers, "Except these abide in the ship, you cannot be saved." He said, [50:52] "Except these abide in the ship, you cannot be saved." So what he's telling [50:58] them is everybody else is ready to like I'm about to jump out of this thing, right? Cuz they don't know what's about [51:04] to happen. So they looking like, man, I'm about to jump out. I'm just about to jump in the water and swim for it. [51:09] Right? Cuz they think they're about to crash. But Paul tell me, yep, listen. If [51:15] you jump out of this ship, you're going to die. Right? If you stay in the ship [51:21] with me, you will be saved. What does that remind us of? City of [51:27] refuge. City of refuge. Give me what is it? Joshua. [51:33] Oh, that's a that's a good one. City of refuge. 20. [51:38] What' you say? 27. No, let's try numbers. Joshua 17. [51:47] Verse. Yeah, you probably right. Verse one. Let's do Joshua chapter 17 verse one. Let's see what the book say. What [51:53] you think, Azariah? What? What you think? You say verse 10. There was also a lot [51:59] for the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph. No, that ain't it. Let me see what 18 say. 18 verse1. [52:08] And the whole congregation of children of Israel assembled together in Shiloh and set up the tabernacle. [52:16] [Music] You don't see city of refuge? Nothing. [52:22] All right, let's try numbers. What? What is it in numbers? Do you remember? Uh, I want to say somewhere in the 30s. Yeah, [52:28] it's 30. 35. You think so? I don't think it's 35. [52:34] Let's try Let's try numbers. 35. 33. It's somewhere around there. It's like [52:40] 36. 37. Somewhere around there. 38. There's no 37. What I'm thinking of? [52:48] What's the last one? 36. 36. Yeah. 35. 36. This is uh Numbers chapter 35 [52:54] verse1. Is it verse one? Verse 9. This is Numbers chapter 35:9. Good job. [53:01] And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, "Speak unto the children of Israel, say unto them unto them, when you become [53:06] over Jordan into the land of Canaan, then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the [53:12] Slayer may free there, which kills any person unawares. and they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger [53:19] that the manslayer die not until the until he stand before the congregation in judgment. Right? So now if a person [53:26] accidentally kill someone, right? [53:31] I mean let's say you chopping down a tree. You ever chopped down a tree before? So So you got to get a axe, right? And [53:39] then you go like this, shoulder straight. You know what I'm saying? Ying yak yak. You know what I'm saying? You [53:45] do that and you doing it hard and fast, right? And then you let it go and then accidentally chops. [53:52] Exactly. Aariah, have you done this before? [53:58] So look, you boom and then you swing it back. Somebody call your name. You like, [54:03] "Huh?" And then you accidentally let it go and then and chop somebody head off, [54:08] right? Did you mean to kill that person? Yes. However, just because you didn't [54:15] mean to kill that person, there's still a consequence. So, your consequence [54:20] because you accidentally killed that person, that person probably has a brother or a sister. Oh, no. What do you [54:26] think they brother or sister going to feel like? No, they're going to be really mad at [54:32] the guy that killed them. As the rapper say, they going to try to get it back in blood. You know what I'm talking about? [54:38] As the rapper say, they might try to spin on you. You know what I'm talking about? So then what you going to do? [54:45] Woo! Boom. Cut his head off. Then they're going to take you in our law, we [54:51] going to take you to the city of refuge. So this is a city where the priest is [54:57] and you have to remain contained in that city until you face trial. And in trial, [55:04] they'll tell you, "No, you meant to do that. You guilty." And then you'll be put to death anyway. or they'll say, [55:11] "You didn't mean to do that." If you didn't mean to do it and and the judge agrees, then you have to stay in the [55:18] city of refuge until the high priest dies, right? That's the consequence of [55:23] accidentally killing somebody, right? You pretty much stay not in jail like we think of it, but you have to stay in a [55:29] confined city. You can't go outside the bounds of that city. As long as you're in the bounds of that city, then you're [55:36] safe. But watch this. And of these cities which you shall give, six cities shall ye have a for [55:44] refuge. You shall give three cities on this side Jordan. Three cities shall you give in the land of Canaan, which shall [55:50] be cities of refuge. These six cities shall be a refuge both for the children of Israel and for the stranger. And for [55:56] the souljourner among them, that everyone that kleth the person unawares may flee there. And if he smite him with [56:02] an instrument of iron so that he die, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death. And if you smite him [56:08] with a throwing with throwing of a stone, wherewith he may die and he die, he is a murderer. The murderer shall [56:14] surely be put to death. Or if you smite him with a hand uh with a hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die and he die, [56:21] he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer. When he [56:26] meets him, he shall slay him. But if he thrust him of if he thrust him of hatred [56:32] or hurl at him by laying of weight that he die or in enmity smite him with his hand that he die he that smokeote him [56:39] shall surely be put to death for he is a murderer the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer when he meet meet him [56:45] but if he thrust him certainly without enmity he said but if he do it without [56:50] enmity in other words he do it and he didn't have nothing against him he didn't mean to do it he wasn't trying to [56:56] do it watch this or have cast upon him anything without laying of weight or with any stone wherewith a man shall die [57:03] seeing him not and cast it upon him that he die and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm. Then the congregation [57:09] shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments. And the congregation shall [57:14] deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood. And the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge where he was fled, [57:21] and he shall abide in it until the death of the high priest which was anointed with the holy oil. Right? So he has to [57:27] stay there until the death of the high priest which was anointed with the oil. Watch this though. But if the slayer [57:32] shall at any time come outside now if the person who accidentally killed I [57:38] accidentally killed somebody. If at any time he do what now? [57:43] Come outside the border of the city of his refuge where he was fled and the revenger of blood find him without [57:49] outside the borders of the city of his refuge and the revenger of blood kill the slayer. He shall not be guilty of [57:55] blood because he should have remained in the city of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of [58:00] the high priest, the slayer shall return into the land of his possession. As long as you stay in the city of refuge, you [58:07] safe. You protected. You're delivered. Right? But the moment you set foot [58:13] outside the city of refuge, then guess what? There is no guilt for the revenger [58:18] brother old boy's brother who I killed who trying to spin on me. As soon as I step my foot outside the city of refuge, [58:26] guess what? He can legally kill me, right? He can get revenge for his brother and is no guilt for him [58:34] only because I stepped outside the city of refuge. That's how our law works, right? So yes, when Paul told them if [58:44] you stay in this ship, right, you will will be saved. But anybody who goes [58:50] outside of this ship, y'all gonna die, right? That's just like the city of refuge, right? The sister said it [58:57] reminded her of Passover. Grab uh Exodus 12. Let's see if it's similar to [59:03] Passover. This is Exodus 12. We can go ahead and start at verse one. [59:13] This is Exodus 12 verse one. [59:21] And Yahweh spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, "This month shall be unto you the beginning of [59:26] months. It shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak you unto the children of Israel, saying, In the 10th [59:33] day of this month, they shall take of them every man a lamb according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a [59:38] house. And if the household be too little for a lamb, let him and his neighbor next to him his house take it [59:43] according to the number of the souls. Every man according to his eating shall make your account for the lamb. Your [59:49] lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. Ye shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats, and ye [59:55] shall keep it until the 14th day of the same month. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it [60:01] in the evening. And they shall take of the blood and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper doorpost of the [60:07] houses where they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh that night, roast with fire, and unleaven bread, and with [60:13] bitter herbs they shall eat it, eaten out of it raw, nor soden at all with water, but roast with fire. Right? So if [60:20] you if I got me a nice lamb, I get it. I pick it out on the 10th day. I took it [60:25] of the first year from the goats or from the lamb and I brought it in and I [60:30] slaughtered it on the 14th day, right? And then I cooked that boy. And you know [60:36] how I cooked them? I put them on the stove and boiled them. You know what I'm saying? Boiled them in some nice hot, [60:43] you know what I'm saying? Goats milk. You know what I'm saying? Boiled that boy. Got it nice and seasoned. And then [60:48] we got it out, took it out that thing is night. Cut it open and started to eat it. Did I keep the Passover? No. Why [60:55] not? Cuz he said roast it on fire. You got to roast that boy on fire. Put that thing on the grill. What's wrong with [61:01] you? Well, you better put that thing on the grill. You ain't going to see us having no darn boiled darn, you know what I'm saying? [61:08] Lamb on Passover. That's not appropriate. Right. Right. So, when we look at our [61:15] ancestors, when they kept the Passover, they had to be cooked over fire. Over a open flame. Keep going. Watch this. Like [61:21] a grill. Like a grill. That's right. Or a campfire. Like a campfire, too. [61:26] Yeah. Eat not of it raw or soden at all with water, but roast with fire, his head, with his legs, and with the [61:32] pertinence thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning, and that which remain of it until the [61:38] morning you shall burn with fire. And thus shall you eat it with your loins girded, and your shoes on your feet, and [61:43] your staff in your hand, and you shall eat it in haste. It is Yahweh's Passover. For I will pass through the [61:49] land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both of man and beast, and against all [61:55] the gods of Egypt. I will execute judgment. I am Yahweh. Right? So, he going to pass through the land of Egypt. [62:00] Watch this. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I [62:07] will pass over you. And the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt. So, remember, [62:14] we had to kill the lamb, slaughter the lamb, and then we took the blood that came out the land cuz once we slit, you [62:19] know what I'm saying? We take the lamb's throat and we slit it so the blood can start coming out. And then you hang it upside down. you let all the blood pour [62:26] out cuz it's against our law to eat the animal with the blood. So if the blood spilling out, we take a little that bit [62:31] little bit of that blood. Then we go to our house door, right? And we look at the door and then we strike it with the blood and we kind of put blood on the [62:38] top, then blood on the sides right here. And that's what our law told us to do. So now we cover the edges of our door [62:45] with blood that came from the lamb, right? And then watch what happened now. [62:52] And this day shall be unto you. Go back one. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are. And [62:59] when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land [63:06] of Egypt. Right? So, anybody who has a door that has blood on it, most high God [63:12] said, I'll skip you, right? I'm going to pass over you. [63:17] Right? Keep going. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and you shall keep it as a [63:23] feast to Yahweh throughout your generations. You shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. Seven days [63:29] shall you eat unleaven bread. Even the first day you shall put away levan out of your houses. For whosoever eats [63:35] leaven bread, from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from among Israel. And on the first [63:40] day you shall be shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day shall be a holy convocation to you. No [63:46] manner of work shall be done in them except that which every man must eat that only may be done of you. And you [63:53] shall observe the feast of unleven bread. For it is the self-same day that I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this [64:00] day in your generations by ordinance forever. In the first month of the 14th day of the month at evening, you shall [64:06] eat unleaven bread until one and the one and 20th day of the month at even seven days there shall be no leaven found in [64:12] your houses. For whosoever eats that which is leavenven, even that show soul shall be cut off from among the [64:17] congregation of Israel, where he be a stranger or born in the land, you shall eat nothing leaven in all your [64:23] habitations, you shall eat unleaven bread. Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, [64:29] draw out and take a lamb according to your families, and kill the Passover. And you shall take a bunch of hissip and [64:35] dip it in blood that is in the basin, and strike the lentil in the two side post with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of [64:41] the door and none of you do what now? Go out of the door of his house until the morning. Why? For Yahweh will pass [64:47] through and smite the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood upon the lentil, and on the two side posts, Yahweh will [64:52] pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you. Uh-huh. And you shall [64:59] observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever. So the [65:04] sister said it remind her of Passover. What y'all think? I think she's right [65:11] cuz the book say if you stay in the house with the blood on your door you [65:16] safe. Moses said but do not come out of that house. [65:21] Right? Because if you come out of the house now you going to be touched. Your [65:27] family going to get touched just like everybody else going to get touched in Egypt. Right? But if you stay in the [65:33] house with the blood on your door then you get passed over. Right? What else do it remind y'all of? [65:41] Right? When Paul tell him, "If you stay in the ship, you will be saved. However, [65:47] if you go outside this ship, you're going to die." What else does it remind you of? Yahosua. [65:53] Yahosua. Let me go. Let me get John chapter 15. [66:03] I like verse one. This is John chapter 15 verse1. Why don't you relax, boy? [66:16] I am the true vine, and my father is the husband. Uh-huh. Every branch in me that bears not fruit, he takes away, and [66:23] every branch that bears fruit, he purges it that it may bring forth fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have [66:29] spoken unto you. Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine. No [66:35] more can you except you abide in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him the same [66:42] brings forth much fruit. Uh-huh. So if you if you remain in him, right, you [66:48] bring forth a lot of fruit. That's however, keep going. If a if a man abide [66:55] not in me, he But if you're not inside of him, what happened? He is cast forth as a branch and withered and men gather [67:01] them and cast him into the fire and they are burned. Right? So if you remain in him, you grow all types of fruit. You [67:08] become a wonderful garden. Right? If you're on the outside of him, then you [67:14] become a branch that's dried up and thrown into fire and burned. [67:20] Right? So this is exactly like Yahosua. Right? This is exactly like Yahushua. So [67:28] what Paul is doing, it testifies of Yahosua. The conversation that he's [67:33] having with these men that's on the boat, it his actions, the situation, it all testifies of Yahushua, [67:41] right? It also reminds me I appreciate y'all cuz you know what I'm saying. I ain't even think about none of the ones [67:46] y'all were talking about. I was thinking about Genesis, right? I was thinking about I was [67:52] thinking about how how Moses I mean not Moses, uh Noah, right? Noah built the [67:57] ship and then there was a flood and there was a there was a tempor [68:02] a a crazy wind, right? And the wind started pushing the the boat back and [68:08] forth, right? And it was going and he had to lock it up in there and it rained for 40 days and 40 nights and then the [68:14] water start coming down. But everybody inside of that ship survived the flood, [68:21] right? All the other everything that was not in the ship died, [68:28] right? I was thinking about darn Noah, but all this work, right? Whether it be the uh the uh the city of refuge, right? [68:38] Whether it be Passover, whether it be Yahosua being being us abiding in Yahosua and ush having fruit if we abide [68:45] in him, or whether it be the uh the flood, right? All of it testifies of [68:51] Yahosua and all of it is very similar to the to the conversation that Paul is having with these men. Let's jump back. [68:58] This is uh uh what verse? Acts 27:31. [69:05] This is Acts chapter 27:31. Watch what the book say. [69:11] Paul said unto the centurions to the soldiers, "Except the abide in the ship, you cannot be saved." Then the soldiers [69:17] cut off the ropes of the boat and let her fall off. And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to [69:23] take meat, saying, "This day is the 14th day that ye have terried," and continued fasting, having taken nothing. Wherefore [69:30] I pray you to take some meat, for this is for you, for this is for your health. For there shall not hair fall from the [69:37] head of any of you." And when he had thus spoken, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them [69:43] all. And when he had broken it, he began to eat. Right? So these people haven't been eating throughout all this storm [69:50] cuz they looking like, man, some of the food they probably threw off. They they trying to make the food last. They just [69:56] nervous and focused, scared, can't sleep. So they haven't eaten in all this time. He said, "This 14 days, two weeks [70:02] y'all haven't ate." He look like everything gonna be all right. Y'all eat. So he told them to go ahead and [70:07] eat, right? Keep going. And when they had eaten enough, they lighted the ship. [70:12] Wait, my bad. Then were they all of good cheer and they also took some meat. And when and [70:18] we were in all we were in all in the ship 200 [70:23] 76 souls. And when they had eaten enough, they lighted the ship and cast out the wheat [70:30] into the sea. And when it was day, they knew not the land, but they discovered a certain creek with a shore into which [70:37] they were minded if it were possible to thrust in the ship. And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed [70:43] themselves into the sea and loosed the rudder bands and hoisted up the main sail to the wind and made toward shore. [70:49] And falling into the place where two seas met, they ran the ship ground. And [70:54] the four the four parts struck fast and remained unmovable, but the hinder part [70:59] was broken with the violence of the waves. And the soldiers council was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them [71:05] should swim out and escape. But the centurion willing to save Paul kept them from their purpose and commanded that [71:11] they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea to get to land. Right? So now they was looking [71:16] like it's about it's 200 it's almost 280 of them out there. Some of them was looking like look just kill the [71:22] prisoners because we can't risk them escaping. We'd rather kill them than have them escape. But one of the [71:28] centurions he looking like no my man Paul we can't do that to him. So he he [71:33] convinced them not to do it right. So he let the prisoners just swim out. Watch this. Keep going. [71:42] But the centurion willing to save Paul kept them from their purpose and commanded that they which would which [71:47] could swim should cast themselves first into the sea to get to land. And the rest some on boards and some on broken [71:54] pieces of the ship. And it came to pass that they escaped all safe to land. All right? So everybody made it safe to land [72:00] just like Paul said they would. Right? That's the end of chapter 27. Yeah. All [72:06] right, let's wrap it up. This is uh chapter 28. It's the last chapter of uh Acts. That's the last chapter, right? [72:12] Yeah. All right. It's the last chapter of Acts. Let's see what this one say. When they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Mita. And the [72:19] barbarous people showed us no little kindness. For they kindled fire and received us everyone because of the [72:25] present rain and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, there [72:30] came a viper out of the heat and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarian saw that the venomous beast [72:35] hang on his hand, they said among themselves, "No doubt this man is a murderer whom though he had escaped the [72:41] sea, yet vengeance suffered him not to live." Right? So they looking at it like so you got natives in that in the on the [72:48] island. And when the natives saw them come on the island, they from the island. So they looking at they probably speak a different language and [72:54] everything. They looking at them and they tried to help him. So they made a fire for him. So Paul is sitting by the [73:00] fire and then he reached his hand to put another stick on the fire. And when he did that, a snake came out and bit him. [73:07] So the natives that's from this island, they look, they know what type of snake that is. They looking like, "No, that's a poisonous snake. That boy good as [73:14] dead." Cuz the snake just hanging from Paul hand, right? It just hanging. It It bit him and it's just hanging from his [73:20] hand. And so they looking like, "Oh no, he good as dead." So they assume they look at him it's like he must be a [73:26] murderer because why would the gods right because they believe they probably believe in multiple gods and all time. [73:33] Why would the gods let him survive the sea in that wind that when nobody was [73:39] supposed to survive that y'all survive that and then he come out here and get bit by a viper right away. Oh, he m he [73:45] about to die for show. He must have been a sinner. That's how they kind of look at it. But watch what happened. [73:54] And he shook off the beast into the fire and felt no harm. Right? So he just had it. You know what I'm saying? And then [74:00] when it bit him, he looking like, "Whoa, hold on." And he shook it off and then threw it into the fire. So the snakes [74:05] ended up burning up in the fire. Right? Watch this. How be it they looked when [74:10] they should have when he should have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but after they had looked a great while [74:16] and saw no harm come to him. No what? No harm come to him. What do you think that mean? [74:23] Mean he's tough. [Music] [74:30] Uh go back to uh this is uh Genesis chapter 3. [74:36] This is Genesis chapter 3. Give me verse Give me verse 12. [74:46] This is Genesis chapter 3 verse 12. Watch the book say. [75:00] And the man said, "The woman who y'all gavest me, who you gavest me [75:06] to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." And Yahweh God said unto the woman, "What is this that you have [75:12] done?" And the woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." The serpent did what? You go me and I did eat. He [75:18] She said, "The serpent tricked me and I did eat." Watch what happened next. Yahweh God said unto the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are [75:25] cursed above all cattle." Look what he said to the snake. He said, "You've done this, you going to be cursed above all [75:31] cattle." And what else happened? And above every beast of the field above upon your belly shall you go, and thus [75:37] shall you eat all the days of your life. And I will put im enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and [75:43] her seed. It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman, he said, "I will greatly multiply [75:50] your So, he just said that the snake and the seed of the woman are going to be at [75:56] enmity." In other words, they going to be at war, right? So, when Paul reached his hand and it bit him, bow, just like [76:04] this, and it's hanging on there, guess what Paul did? He shook it off and threw [76:10] him. You know who that serpent was that we just read about in Genesis? Who? That [76:15] was the devil. You know what the devil's job is? [76:21] To kill and to what else? To steal. And what else? And to destroy, [76:29] right? Kill, steal, destroy. That's his That's his job. His job is to tempt us. [76:35] His job is to kill us, to bring death, right? But through Yahosua, guess what [76:42] happens? We're resurrected. [76:48] Which means that death does us no harm. So when Paul is bit by this viper, this [76:56] snake, and then he shake it off, he throws it into the fire, and there was [77:01] no harm that came to him. That testifies of what Yahosua does for us. That testifies of the resurrection, [77:08] right? that the penalty that comes through the snakes tempting us, through the snakes's bite, it really doesn't [77:15] poison us, right? Instead, Yahosua shakes them off and put them in the fire, which is going [77:21] to happen in the end, right? When we get to Revelations, we'll talk about that. [77:30] Oh, that's a bad boy over there. Right. The brother said, look, the the young man said, he said it wasn't Paul that [77:36] shook off the snake. It was Yahosua. Let's go back and look. Let's see what Yahosua did just now. This is uh Acts [77:44] chapter 28. What verse? That's a bad boy there. This is Acts chapter 28 verse 6. Let's [77:51] see what Yahosua did. How be it, they looked when he should have swollen or [77:56] fallen down suddenly. But after they had lock looked a great while and saw no harm come to him, they changed their [78:01] minds and said that he was a god. Well, hold on. Look. They said that he was [78:07] what? He was a god. But there's only one God, huh? [78:14] They looked at him and said, "Oh, that's Yahushua. That's a bad boy sitting over there." [78:20] You know what I'm saying? Everybody else when they read it, they read this and they see Paul, they think Paul's the one shaking off a snake. The natives wasn't [78:27] crazy. When they saw, they look like, "Oh, that's Yahosua." They thought he was a god. Right. Keep [78:34] going. In the same quarters were possessions of the chief men on the island, whose name [78:39] was Pubilus, who received us, enlarged us three days courtesy. And it came to [78:44] pass that the father of Pubilus lay sick of a fever and bloody flux, to whom Paul [78:50] entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. So when this was done, others also which had diseases in the island came, and were [78:56] healed, who also honored us with many honors. And when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary. [79:03] And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in [79:08] the island whose sign was caster of Pollocks. And landing in Syracuse we terried there three days. And from there [79:15] we fetched the compass and came to Regium. And after one day the south wind [79:20] blew and we came the next day to Polei where we found brethren and were desired [79:26] to carry with them seven days. And so we went toward Rome. And from there we were [79:31] when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as a Api forum and the [79:39] in the three taverns whom when Paul saw he thanked God and took courage. And when we came to Rome, the centurion [79:45] delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard. But Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with the soldier that kept him. And it came to pass that after [79:53] three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together. And when they were come together, he said unto them, "Men and [79:59] brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered [80:04] prisoner from Jerusalem to the hands of the Romans, who when they had examined me, would have let me go. But because [80:09] there was no cause of death in me, but because there was no cause of death death in me." But when the Jews spake [80:16] against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar. Not that that I ought to accuse my nation of. For this cause [80:22] therefore have I called for you to see you and speak with you, because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this [80:28] chain. And they said unto him, we neither received letters out of Judah concerning you, neither any of the [80:34] brethren that came showed or spake any harm of you, but we desire to hear of thee what you thinkkest. And for wait, [80:41] what you think is for as concerning this sect, we know that everywhere it is spoken against. Right? So what he did is [80:48] he went to Rome and when he was in Rome he was allowed to dwell with the soldier that that that that's been looking out [80:54] for him, right? And so when he did that he is looking like, "All right, how many Hebrews we got in this town? Y'all come [81:01] on." You know what I'm saying? Y'all come on, come talk to me. So he started to talk to him, right? And he started to say, "Okay, listen. I'm here and I want [81:08] y'all to know I'm here not because I did anything wrong. They lied on me and I came here and really they examined me [81:14] and saw I didn't do anything worthy of death. But I felt constrained to to appeal to Caesar. For what reason? So [81:21] that I can see y'all and I can tell y'all what's going on. So then the Hebrews responded to him and they was [81:27] looking like, "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Uh, let me tell you something, brother. We haven't heard nothing. Like [81:33] nobody sent us a letter from Jerusalem. None of the brothers came down talking about you. like we haven't heard nothing [81:39] negative about you. So we want to hear more about what you talking about because we've heard about what you [81:45] believe and we heard about what you preaching and I tell you everywhere we [81:50] go what the book say. Read it again. He said everywhere we go [81:58] watch this. But we desire to hear of thee what thou [82:04] thinkst. For as concerning this sect, we know that everywhere it is spoken against. Right? He said, everywhere we [82:10] go is spoken against. Right? Every time you what you believe [82:16] is brought up, everybody talking bad about it. Right? So that's how you know [82:22] that in Rome, they didn't mess with it. That's why they called us Christians. [82:27] Right? They used to call us Christians. Although we were disciples, they used to call us Christian cuz they didn't like [82:33] us. It was disrespectful to call us Christians, right? And then later some [82:38] of the disciples adopted it. And then subsequently those disciples stop being [82:44] disciples and they just start being Christians and believe in myths and all all types of other stuff. Right? Keep [82:49] going. When they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging to whom he expounded and [82:56] testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Yahosua, both out of the law of Moses and out of the prophets [83:02] from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believe not. And when they had [83:07] agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, well well spake the Holy Spirit by [83:15] Isaiah the prophet unto your fathers, saying, "Go to this people and say, hearing you shall hear and not [83:21] understand, and seeing you shall see and not perceive. For the heart of this people is waxed, gross, and their ears [83:26] are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, [83:32] and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, [83:37] that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. And when he and when he had said [83:43] these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own [83:50] hired house, and received all that came unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which [83:55] concerned the Master, Yahosua, the Messiah, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. All right, so that's the [84:02] end of Acts. That's also just about the end of Paul. A little bit after this, he probably died, right? He probably was [84:08] put to death or something, right? But that's the end of Acts. That's the last thing that we hear from Paul in a [84:14] narrative sense. So the everything else that we hear from Paul will be letters, right? It's going to be letters that he [84:20] wrote while he was in Rome. So he's in Rome at this point and he's just writing letters to all the places that he [84:27] visited, right? and he's writing letters back to them to like to to speak to them [84:32] to make sure that they still on track to answer their questions. Right? So, a lot of the stuff that we going to be reading [84:38] over the next few weeks will be letters. All right. Any questions? [84:51] Any questions in the chat? Let's see. [85:04] All right. Well, let's pray out. Here's
