Summary
Why does Yahuah tell us not to look back? In this Sabbath lesson from Luke 17 and Isaiah 1 and 6, we see that only one of ten cleansed lepers returned to give God glory, that Israel went away backward, and that only a tenth will return, so we have to keep our eyes forward. You’ll also learn from Jeremiah 6 and Isaiah 43 that the only time we should look back is to ask for the old paths of His word, while we let go of the former things, good or bad, that God has already blotted out. Finally, David’s guilt in 2 Samuel 12, 16 and 24, along with Isaiah 53 and Romans 3, shows that Yahushua bore the penalty and forgives the sins that are past, so we must turn from sin and stop letting our past rule our choices.
