give him freely as a gift to all who obey him we understand that if you do not obey him it is made manifest or made [00:33] obvious that you do not believe in this state you should expect no good thing [00:39] from the most high however anything that you do get whether it be a gift of tongues a gift of Prophecy or any [00:45] Supernatural experience that you may have it can and it will be used against you in the day of judgment with that [00:52] said Peace to the saints that are in the room to the saints that couldn't make it to the Saints watching in on the camera to the Saints gathered that we don't [00:58] even know about but no peace to the Wicked the only thing we say to them is repent that they might live [01:08] let's uh recap last week we talked about um the book of Nehemiah I want to say we [01:15] left off at about chapter 8 so Nehemiah he he was getting our you know what I'm [01:20] saying he's trying to trying to restore the land trying to restore the filling of the land you know what I'm saying so this is after the point of Ezra we read [01:27] uh we read the book of Ezra and where we left off remember Ezra was was trying to get the people back in order he was [01:33] trying to teach the people the law right so this is after that so you had Nehemiah come in and he's around the [01:40] same time and what he's doing is he's trying to like rebuild our borders so [01:45] he's working on a wall and these people worked on the wall him his servants and the people of the land side by side [01:52] worked on the wall and built it up then they start getting messed with by the Gentiles that was nearby just like in [01:58] Ezra in Ezra the Gentiles messing with us too right so the Gentile came back and they start they start messing with [02:04] us so Ezra he told everybody he like man go ahead you know what I'm saying like half of y'all work the other y'all y'all [02:10] stand watch you know just in case these Gentiles try to attack us they tried to trick him you remember they told him [02:15] they like listen you know what I'm saying you better hide you know what I'm saying go hide go run in the temple they tried to set him up knowing that if he [02:22] walked into for those of us doing the Bible in the year we know that we looking at we looking at the the [02:27] scripture right now about who is who is it lawful for her to go into the temple and read in the book of The Law of the Lord their God one fourth part of the day and another [03:52] fourth they confessed and worship Yahweh their God then stood upon the uh upon the [03:59] stairs of the Levites yahua and bani cadmiel shabanah [04:06] Bui sherab Beni and kunani Kanani kinani and car and cried [04:14] with a loud voice unto yahua their God then the Levites yua and cadmiel Bon [04:20] hash bayah sheriah hodah Shaniah and P Paya said stand up and bless Yahweh your [04:28] God forever and ever and bless Blessed Be Thy glorious name which is exalted above all blessing and praise thou even [04:35] Thou Art Yahweh alone and has made Heaven the heavens of Heavens with all their hosts the Earth and all the things [04:41] that are therein and the Seas and all that is therein thou present us them all and the host of Heaven worships [04:48] thee Thou Art Yahweh God who did choose Abram and and broughtest him forth out [04:55] of er of the CES and gavest him the name of Abraham and found this his heart [05:01] faithful before thee and made a covenant with him to give the land of the [05:06] Canaanites the Hittites the amorites the perizzites and the jebusites and the gites to give it I say to his seed and H [05:13] has performed thy words for thou are righteous and did see the Affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry [05:20] before the Red Sea and I want y to I want y'all to I want y'all to pay attention to something I want yall to pay attention to the details right [05:28] notice how the people that's written about in this book surely there are many people there [05:34] probably some good people you know what I'm saying there probably some God-fearing people that didn't make this [05:39] book but notice it's a common theme that the people who like who are written and [05:44] documented this book they know our history they know our law they know the [05:52] scripture right like he's not just like like he's telling in his prayer and his [05:57] praise to the most high God he he's recounting our history from [06:03] Abraham right A lot of times we think we it's a some some people take think it's [06:09] a light thing to know this book right and I'm not even saying it's required [06:14] that anybody who don't know the book like him is gonna be you know what I'm saying going going to hell that's that I don't have no book to say that right but [06:21] what I am saying is when you model yourself after the people that we read about in this book man you got to put [06:28] your faith toward studying right everything in you got to go like how do I know more about the [06:34] most high God how do I understand his word a little better that just got to be our push it [06:41] should be a Non-Stop push for those of us who want to strive towards it right because that's the people that we read [06:47] about man they know what they talking about they not guessing they said they quote book they retail stories in the [06:54] book from memory he just in there in the middle of the prayer and just going through it like yeah hey you brought him [07:00] out from the C Deeds you know what I mean then you gave him the name Abraham made a covenant with him you [07:07] know what I'm saying with the Canaanites and the hivites and the and the perizzites you know what I'm saying and then after that you know what I'm saying [07:13] so he just like going through it in his mind he he this is this is common [07:19] knowledge for him right keep [07:26] going right and then even like we we pass something but even go back uh what [07:31] was that where it said for uh for a fourth of the day for a fourth what is it a fourth [07:38] part of the day and they stood up in their place and [07:44] read in the book of The Law of Yahweh their God one4 part of the day so look for a whole look a one4 part of the day [07:51] is give or take three hours right so for three hours straight [07:57] they open the book and read last week we ended off where they stood up and they [08:03] read from the book and you remember we talked about it how it was interesting [08:08] that when he started reading that's when the people stood and we kind of reflected on man a lot of the churches [08:15] we've been into it's the opposite the people sit when the word about to be [08:20] preached and we stand for the choir for the music in this case it was the opposite when he started to read that's [08:27] when everybody stood up you know you get to read and what happened start nodding off like you know [08:34] what I'm saying you can't get too comfortable when you read get your butt up right so everybody stood up and [08:40] started listening now that happened for three give or take right three hours [08:46] about eight hours huh wait yeah yeah about six hours three six hours [08:51] yeah you said what it's six hours well 24 hours would be six hours [08:57] but it's the day so oh yeah it's yeah they they saying three hours so you know what I'm saying give or take three hours [09:03] they sitting there and they going through it like let me hear this [09:08] word right it's a different level of commitment when it I just want to hear the word I'm not going to the word lot [09:15] of people go to the word trying to trying to solve a particular problem that they got going on in their life oh [09:21] well you know you know I lost my you know what I'm saying I lost my my father and I just need something out of the [09:27] word to cheer me up man that's a abuse that's abuse of the word I get it you [09:33] know what I'm saying like I do I do get it like some stuff going on in the world and sometimes you just be wanting to [09:39] pick me up but if you get used to using the word as a pickme up man there some [09:44] slick tongue passes about about to make a mess out of your that's not what the word is there [09:51] for right the word is there to break us apart where's that in uh what is that [09:56] knew that [10:17] they dealt proudly against him so did thou get thee a name as it is this day and thou did divide the Red Sea [10:25] before them so that they went through the midst of the Sea on the dry land and their person persecutors thou threw into [10:30] the deeps as a stone into th the mighty Waters moreover you letest them in the [10:36] day you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar and in the Night by a pillar of fire to give them light and the way [10:42] wherein they should go El that's all the stuff we reading about right now most high God put most high look when we [10:49] we're going to see in the [11:01] New Testament is a bunch of signs and wonders right because yahua like man [11:07] listen they ain't gonna believe unless they had a sign he knew who our people were right and so Yahweh knew that also [11:15] when we came out of Egypt he knew that it ain't no way these people GNA believe [11:20] except for signs and wonders so what he tell to Moses soon as Moses was like man the people ain't about to believe me [11:25] like listen you know what I'm saying you see your hand put it stick of in your bosom when it say bosom it's talking about the side go ahead stick it in your [11:32] side like this you know what I'm saying now pull it out and his hand is white leprous like [11:38] snow right then he said all right but if that don't get him go ahead reach for your [11:45] staff right there you know what I'm saying go ahead reach for it grab the staff he said throw it on the ground he [11:51] threw it on the ground that thing turned into a snake Moses jump back like whoa you know what I'm saying then after that [11:58] he told go ahead go grab it by the tail see what happened he grab by Thing by the tail turn right back into a [12:04] staff right he said show them these things you know what I'm saying turn to water and the blood show them these [12:10] things and they'll believe you sure enough he showed them and all the people like man let's do [12:16] it right so the most high God can or throughout our time in the wilderness he [12:21] showed us sign after sign right whether it's all the plagues that he put on Egypt the way he separated the Hebrews [12:28] from the Egyptians the way he he split the Red Sea for us the way he made water [12:34] come out of rocks right he made bread come from the sky in the in the uh in [12:39] the morning and at night he made Quail fall from the sky right these are different things [12:46] that he he did for us to show us like oh no no he's the [12:52] one right then we get over into the land and he call we we up against joh ain't [12:58] no way we supposed to win this thing but he sending plagues before us he sending [13:04] bees and everything stinging these people messing these people darn up right we get to see this stuff in [13:11] real life and in real action and what that does is that creates in us a level of [13:17] Faith right we start to see these signs and it creates in us a level of faith it [13:22] gets us to the point we looking like okay you know what I can rock with [13:27] him but it's some point the signs and the Wonders go away and you know what we have to rely on when that happens we [13:34] have to rely on the word so that's why Ezra and Nehemiah is [13:40] putting such an emphasis on it because they understand that they looking like no no no we just got messed up we just [13:48] came from captivity it's a mess right now it's not looking [13:54] good right so they looking like we have to [13:59] teach the people the word no more playing around everybody come out let's [14:05] talk hear the word for three hours straight give or take we standing up going through the word reading it right [14:11] out what what they is reading look at the law right out of the book of the [14:19] law that's what Moses gave [14:24] us right most high God didn't give us all this book this is just sit on it and [14:30] I know how it make us feel when we read it certain parts of it that thing make you feel like oh I be doing that oh am I [14:37] wrong for that oh I got to stop doing that too that's how it's supposed to make you [14:43] feel we spend too much time walk around not feeling nothing empty on the [14:50] inside inside of our body abused from all the sin that we do right don't nothing bother don't [14:57] nothing affect us word supposed to verse [15:38] 29 is not my word like as a fire says he said is not my word just like a [15:46] fire and like a hammer that [15:59] same type of hammer and the same type of strike that'll break a rock in pieces that don't feel good that don't feel [16:05] comforting that don't feel uplifting we have to reset our expectations we be coming into it like [16:12] oh well well God God is begging me to come to him that's not the God we talking about we not talking about no [16:19] God that's begging you to be saved that's not that's not what we reading out of this book we talk about the most [16:24] high God who lay a standard give a opportunity and you got to make a [16:31] choice when you have the right expectation you know what you looking for if you sitting here expecting that [16:37] God is constantly reaching out for you like this begging you just please come to me please I really really really want [16:43] you to be saved then you might feel like you got some time you might feel like [16:49] okay well I can play hard to get for a little while then you know what I'm saying right before I die I can kind of clean it up and go but no you playing [16:56] with a God that don't like to be mocked so if that's your plan right when that be your plan like you know I'm going get [17:02] it together eventually I just you know I got a few things I want to get off first if that's your plan he is not [17:10] mocked you gonna get caught up in your stuff and not even realize it and be out of here before your brain can change [17:16] before your mind can change before your heart can change we looking at all this new booty [17:23] stuff boy we we all the boy all the boy all this stuff that they talk about today is new [17:30] this stuff is new they not talking about they not talking about nothing historical all this stuff they just came [17:35] up with it they just came up with all this stuff and they think they doing something [17:41] don't know nothing back in the darn 60s and the 70s I was reading and they were talking [17:47] about the ice ages coming back they look like man if you look at [17:53] you look at the world we got models that tell us the ice age is coming back it's [17:58] going to be a second Ice Age right then a couple decades later they [18:06] start talking about oh actually we're overheating it's global [18:12] warming then it start getting cool again Hurricane Katrina all that other stuff so you know they have to switch it up [18:18] they're like okay we don't call it global warming anymore and we ain't gonna call it the second Ice Age because that's too confusing cuz the weather [18:25] going to keep doing this and up and down and we ain't going to be able to predict it so you know what they came up with climate [18:33] change that's because these people are a prisoner to what's happening right now all of us are we are all a prisoner we [18:41] don't live but 70 80 years so we're all prisoners to what's happening right [18:48] now and in being a prisoner to that that mindset and being a prisoner to what we [18:54] observe we don't have we don't have that's like trying to take advice from a kid that ain't experienc [19:02] nothing right A lot of these kids some of these kids think they know they think they understand they think they know [19:08] they think they got it figured out you ever seen how indecisive a kid can be cuz they haven't they haven't learned [19:16] and been hardened by the by the decisions that you have to commit to in life so in they mind I could just choose [19:22] this but no I just changed my mind like no I just made you that I just cooked that whole plate for you you know what [19:27] I'm saying what you mean you just Chang change your mind what you mean you're not hungry no more right that's how God [19:33] see us because we only got this limit real limited scope of life right and we [19:39] think we got it figured out because it's like oh well I know more I know more than Joe Joe stand next to me I know [19:46] more than him so I gotta be smart I be walking around in my job like [19:53] man I'm always the smartest person in the room you know what I'm saying Pat myself on the back then one time [19:59] I sat in this meeting and this the dude he's speaking all these topics that he's like everything everybody bring up he [20:05] know about it I'm looking like but that's a bad boy [20:10] you know what I'm saying he went to school got degrees got experience got all that stuff I look at him like man [20:18] you a Fool If You Think You're the only [20:23] one right you got to look at this stuff like man Ain none of us special ain't none of [20:30] this stuff going on the only thing we got is to serve the most high God and the only way to serve the most [20:36] high God is to forget this new stuff that they trying to [20:42] teach right they trying everything all they perspectives all they all they [20:47] ideology on Politics on History all this stuff is new [20:54] stuff the people think the darn moonlanding fake [20:59] it might be though you know what I'm saying the darn World is Flat they think they think it's [21:06] neanderthals that would that we evolv from as opposed to what everybody thought in all of history that they're [21:19] Giants but it's because they limited view they can't see it it's this we done [21:24] with the new stuff we got to go back to what you know what I'm saying go back grab uh grab uh Jeremiah chapter [21:30] 6 give me about verse 9 this Jeremiah chapter 6 verse [21:38] 9 right we got to get back to the old path [21:43] we got to get back to what it used to be the people gonna call you crazy they [21:50] gonna look at you you start you start modeling your M life after after the scripture they gonna look at ver9 thus says Yahweh of hosts they shall thoroughly glean the [22:17] remnant of Israel as a Vine Turn Back thine hand as a grape gatherer into the [22:23] baskets To Whom Shall I speak and give warning that they may hear behold [22:30] behold their ear is uncircumcised and they cannot hearken behold the word of Yahweh is unto them a reproach they have [22:36] no Delight in it therefore I am full of the fury of Yahweh I am weary withholding it in I will pour it out [22:43] upon the children abroad and upon the Assembly of young men together for even the husband and the wife shall be taken [22:50] what verse is that [22:56] 11 sure's not [23:03] is jump down give me is what you want this 16 yeah okay this is uh Jeremiah [23:12] chapter uh 6 verse 16 I thought it verse nine thus says Yahweh stand ye in the [23:19] ways and see and ask look he said stand thee in the ways and see in other words [23:25] stand in the middle of the street and pay attention watch this ask for the Old Paths he said ask for [23:33] the old path watch this where is the good way and walk therein and you shall [23:39] find rest for your souls but they said we will not walk therein we got to ask ourselves what is [23:46] the goal what are we trying to accomplish because it's a way to save [23:52] time if what we trying to accomplish is to see the most high God in the end then [23:57] this is what we got to do we got to stand in the way we got to we got to see we got to ask yo where's the old path [24:05] that good path and after we find it we got to walk in [24:11] it right we have to walk in it the rest of this stuff is [24:18] meaningless right the rest of the stuff will get us caught up the only thing we looking at is how do I serve the most [24:24] high God I can help you out with that learn the word you ain't got to go off of nobody [24:30] opinion you ain't got to go off of nobody once you know the word once you can say I believe this because this [24:38] verse says it this verse says it and this verse say it and it don't [24:43] contradict none of the others when you have that that is called rightly dividing the [24:49] word that comes with a level of confidence you ain't got to say well I guess or I believe or maybe it's gonna [24:55] turn out this way it's different when you know it and it's not impossible to know that's what they want you to think [25:02] the people that tell you oh well you know it's just you know it's all based off interpretation people look at the [25:07] people who say that are the people who don't actually know the book when you know the book you'll see it's really not [25:14] that much interpretation the book say what it say only thing we really the only thing we [25:20] really look I know y'all I know it sound farfetch the average of these people [25:25] that be talking and teaching and on TV and off TV and on YouTube with millions [25:30] of followers talking about this book don't know the book they don't read it [25:36] they don't know about it they don't study it they learn the pieces that they talk about from somebody who taught it [25:42] to them and they repeat what they knew they study to make an argument right they talk to the boys [25:49] they develop a go Doctrine and now when they look in the Bible they looking to prove their Doctrine they know how to [25:55] prove their Doctrine they know how to prove the stuff that been taught they do not actually know the [26:01] book right it's different when you get all that stuff up out of you and just read [26:07] it because now you're not trying to force nothing to happen you just letting it happen like it don't matter I ain't [26:13] got no dog in the fight whatever God say is right that's what's right it's Simplicity in that the only [26:20] way you get it is from reading this book understanding this book not necessarily reading it but from understanding this book I encourage y'all to read it though [26:27] but I don't want to liot nobody make it seem like it's it ain't nothing in the Bible that tell you you have to read the book right nothing in the book to tell [26:35] you that so I don't want to that that can't be my message when I speak I got to speak according to the oracles you [26:40] know I'm saying I can't just be out here making stuff up like the rest of these guys do I don't even know where we is at [26:46] where we is at oh Nehemiah go back to Nehemiah is Nehemiah what chapter nine verse what verse verse 13 this Nehemiah [26:53] chapter 9 verse3 they out there reading the book right he making a prayer and after he uh you know I'm saying jump on [27:00] we on verse 13 or did we uh pass that already and I had you go back we're on 13 all right so they making a prayer and [27:07] and and in his prayer he shows just just based off of the way that he pray he know the [27:13] book that's beautiful to me I love listen I can respect people who understand this book I respect people [27:19] for a lot of stuff but man when I see somebody who understand the but even when even if we disagree about certain [27:24] thing I be looking like but that brother know what he talking about it's a young it's not young lady it's a lady that called me um she don't call me no more [27:32] but she called me and she I mean just as Christian as she can be but she knows a [27:38] lot about the book and the Old Testament too see I remember I forgot what it was she opened up something in Genesis he is [27:44] like yeah what you think this mean brother I was looking like I ain't never seen no Christian notice no detail like [27:51] that I forgot what it was it was some it was some minute detail that I ain't never noticed and she was like yeah but [27:56] you ain't never noticed that this I got to find because I wrote it down somewhere I got to find out what it was we we probably about to read in our [28:02] Bible in the year read probably about to read and whatever she showed me it was some uh it are Leviticus or numbers it [28:08] was one of the two but yeah you know what I'm saying she showed me some stuff I'm looking like you know I'mma tell you the truth well I ain't never I ain't nobody taught you to catch that detail that just come [28:26] from you you was actually reading you can tell when the people got taught what they talking about right but some of these some [28:34] people actually study this book and really trying to figure it out right and then the next the that [28:40] that's one step the real step the one that's gonna lead you into the kingdom is I just want to I ain't trying to prove nothing I ain't trying to disprove [28:47] nothing about what nobody else say if you prove something me and sister Pamela we got a similar approach right s Pamela [28:53] a [29:06] than yourself right when you do that you say hey this what I believe but what do the book teach me and you can do then [29:13] tear down what you believe or not but you can't be going to the book trying to prove or disprove what somebody else say [29:19] what somebody else teaching is that can't be your reason for looking at the book no you just got to let that thing teach you and then tear down what's in [29:26] you we going we gonna spend a lot of time in Jeremiah give me Jeremiah what is it four give me Jeremiah four it might be [29:34] one actually where say tear down is that he giving commentary or was it yahushua's words himself he quoted when [30:49] yahua was like the son of man is Gonna Come you know I'm saying he going to come uh from from the heavens and so [30:56] another brother popped in he is like yeah notice that he said the son of man [31:01] which is in heaven you know what I'm saying pretty much just saying yahua is not talking like yahua is admitting that [31:09] he's not the son of man is pretty much what he is trying to say without saying it so I jumped in and I was just like [31:14] yeah you know what I'm saying son of man you know what I'm saying is a reference to the prophecy of Daniel you know what [31:19] I'm saying and when it say in heaven it's talking about in the sky you know what I'm saying so it's not saying the [31:25] son of man right now is located in heaven no know he's saying the son of man that's prophesied by Daniel you know [31:32] what I'm saying that comes from the sky he's identifying what he's talking about brother was like yeah but this is this [31:38] is what the son of man looked like quoted Revelations right that's all I said he quoted Revelations this is what [31:44] the son of man looked like woolly hair and yahua didn't look like that 2,000 years ago I'm like [31:50] bro if you don't believe in yahua I'm sure not trying to make you believe [31:56] that's not my purpose of comment I'm just my [32:40] behavior to be pleasing to the most high God you know what I'm saying like what do what can I sacrifice to then make my [32:48] life more pleasing to the most high God those are real questions so when I saw that one I was like oh yeah I'm happy to [32:54] answer that I told her I was like well you know you know what I'm saying y'all she was would talk about these them but I would look at it in two ways right one [33:02] you don't make no assumptions about nobody unless you got hard evidence you know what I'm saying or firsthand [33:07] evidence that that a person is a sinner then you should assume based off of [33:14] anything that you see that they righteous and if they are then that's your neighbor you know what I'm saying like [33:20] that thing is that thing is nice water Moses what happened Moses eventually bring some [37:28] water out for it right but as soon as he look as soon as we complain and in the [37:35] water get brought out for us the very next thing that happened is we walk to a [37:41] whole thing of palm trees and a bunch of Springs of whale 12 different whales and 12 different all this stuff we walk to a [37:48] middle in the middle of the Wilderness we walk into a paradise this whole time nothing most high God waited until we [37:54] complained waited until we freaked out and then he said okay now go over [38:00] there right that's absolutely what the Wilderness is about you got to get all [38:06] that stuff that you expect you got to get it out your head your whole thinking got to be [38:12] reshaped by the most high God and then in the physical [38:18] sense those that were 20 and above that get out there they didn't make it they stayed in the wilderness died in the [38:25] wilderness right so in a physical sense literally you got to leave that stuff behind most high guy had to root out [38:33] cool down and Destroy and throw down he took the younger ones in the [38:39] Next Generation and then he planted and he built right that's the order of most [38:47] high God at all times always right rid of some stuff before going [38:53] yeah that's exactly what it was this is uh this is Nehemiah let's get back to [50:08] marry Gentiles nor give their daughters into married to any Gentiles they only G [50:14] to stay within the people then on top of that they said from now on we not even [50:19] going to buy on the Sabbath right if these Gentiles come to because we know ain't nobody selling or buying because [50:25] ain't nobody working in our land but if the Gentiles come to the gate like yo yo [50:31] yo month to the most high God that's not no law that's not on our calendar right but [52:40] that's an extra vow that I put on my place on myself and once it becomes a vow at that point for me who made that [52:48] vow and everybody who signed onto that vow guess what it's as good as law [52:56] right this what we reading right now is going to be very important because once [53:03] we switch over to the New Testament next week it's going to be like a fast forward of 400 years so we gonna have to [53:10] see what the attitude is now and then imagine what happens between that 400 [53:16] year period imagine all the interactions we gonna talk about it when we get into the New Testament kind of kind of the things [53:23] that we learned from the from the book of macbes we not going to read the book say right that's his stuff that he put on it that's not what the book say right [54:49] let's go keep [54:55] going if the people of the land bring wear of any victuals on the Sabbath day to covenant that God made with them this is a covenant that they're making [55:39] with God so it's a vow it's what they're agreeing to do for the most high God [55:44] right so it's not an added law it's and nor did did he attempt to to add to the [55:50] law or anything like that that's just how we read it when we read it we make that assumption and we say just like the [55:57] Pharisees did right so just like the Pharisees we going to read about the Pharisees and the sagues and they did [56:03] the exact same thing they develop traditions of men traditions of the elders so these are the elders when you [56:10] read when you read the uh when you read the uh the the Pharisees talk about you [56:15] know what I'm saying the traditions of the elders and all that Nehemiah is an elder and there's an elder that come [56:21] after him and an elder that come after him and it goes and so all of these guys are building [56:26] Traditions to restrict themselves again it starts in a good place but then we [56:32] lose context and once we lose context we start to make assumptions and once we make assumptions then we start calling [56:38] people Sinners or something that a man came up even if that man who came up with it was a righteous man and had no [56:45] ill will about it right that's just how it works y'all remember [56:51] um uh what's his name uh is it uh [56:56] what was his name uh Gideon was it Gideon yeah the Epi the ephi yeah you [57:03] know what I'm saying Gideon went out you know what I'm saying and made a golden ephi Gideon wasn't trying to make no [57:10] what what Gideon [57:48] intended that wasn't his mindset that wasn't his hope right and that's what happens sometime we do stuff and then [57:56] the next person you know what I'm saying comes along and they use it for a stumbling [58:03] block there a pent ask how does that work with uh purum you gotta you gotta you gotta help me out what you mean how [58:09] does what work with [58:15] purum right but so what we have is always it's always an opportunity that anything Satan can Satan can use [58:23] anything to deceive us you know what I'm saying so we got to we got to make sure that we our [62:56] people are going to be held accountable for our people agreed to keep the stuff that Moses said from the most high God [63:03] that was the agreement that was the Covenant that we made right and as part of that Covenant Moses said it was GNA [63:09] be another guy whatever he say that we ought to do right and as part of that [63:15] Covenant it connect us to this to the New Covenant right so those are the ones that we held responsible [63:22] for all the rest of this stuff everything that we get it's informational it's context it gives [63:28] us guidance it's good all of it's great but it is not law important to know that keep [63:41] going and that we would leave the seventh year in the exaction of every debt also we made ordinances for us to [63:47] charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekele for the service of the House of go our God for the showbread [63:54] and for the continual offering and for the continual burnt offering and the sabbaths and the new Moons for the set F [64:00] feasts and for the holy things and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel and for all the work of the [64:06] House of our God and we cast the Lots among the priests Levites and the people for the wood offering to bring it unto [64:13] the house of our God after the houses of our fathers at times appointed year by year to burn upon the altar of yahu our [64:20] God as it is written in the law and to bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all fruit [64:28] of trees year by year unto the house of Yahweh also the firstborn porters and the singers and we will not forsake the house of our God [65:33] keep [65:40] going right yeah and the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem the rest of the people also cast lots to bring one [65:46] of 10 to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city and nine parts to dwell in other cities and the people blessed all the [65:52] men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem these are the chief of the province chief of the province [65:58] that dwelt in Jerusalem for the cities of Judah dwelt everyone in his possession in their cities to wet Israel [66:04] the priests the Levites and the netham and the children of Solomon's servants and at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the [66:10] children of Judah and the children of Benjamin of the children of Judah aayah and the son of Isaiah the son of [66:17] Zechariah the son of amariah the son of chayah the son of Mal [66:23] Mal the whole chapter no jum on [66:28] now yeah let's let's go so it go through the [66:34] names of the different people and where they living they cast lots right so they had to cast lots to kind of figure out [66:40] who was going to live where because everybody everybody gonna want to um live in different place some people [66:46] that's like man I don't even want to live in Jerusalem and why wouldn't they want to live in Jerusalem that's what we go down there [66:53] right that's the Target right so some people is like man listen I'mma live outside let me go up to Benjamin you [67:00] know what I'm saying let me go up to you know what I'm saying let me go up there where the Gentiles at ephra you know [67:05] what I'm saying let me live on the outskirts I stay in Judah but I ain't gonna be in Jerusalem let me live on the [67:10] out I'm gonna go to Hebron right so it's like it's different people that's like I don't necessarily [67:15] want to live in Jerusalem but there was some people that willingly wanted to live in Jerusalem and that was a [67:21] blessing for them so historically everybody want to if you in Judah everybody wanted to live in Jerusalem [67:27] right but you got to think about the trauma that our people went through Jerusalem was where the King was and that was the main place of [67:34] attack right so now it's like man the king break out against you know we we live in this constant fear now that like [67:41] because it's happened like you know what saying we saw it happen so it's like uh no if the king get mad he probably gonna [67:47] come right to Jerusalem I'm g go ahead and live you know what I'm saying goad give me another spot you know what I'm saying go ahead and live you know what [67:53] I'm saying outside the city right right but some people was like no look go ahead go ahead and let me stay in Jerusalem but they cast lots to kind of [68:00] figure out who going to stay in Jerusalem who going to live in other places so it starts to document all the [68:05] names of the people and where they live let's jump over to uh chapter 12 verse [68:11] one we uh that is 12 oh that was [68:17] 12 uh well yeah no we in 12 now but 12 go over all of the names too oh okay [68:23] what about 13 [68:40] 13 is names too no let's do 13 verse one then all [68:52] right on that read this watch watch uh Nehemiah watch watch his attitude right [68:59] you kind of seen it throughout what we what we've been reading but watch his attitude at the very end of this it's [69:05] the last chapter right 13 is the last chapter watch his attitude at the very end of this it's Nehemiah chapter 1 [69:12] verse one I mean Chapter 13 Verse one on that day they read in the book of Moses [69:17] in the audience of the people and therein was found written that the ammonite and the moabit should not come [69:23] into the congregation of God forever because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water but [69:28] hired balam against them that he should curse them how be it our God turned the curse into a blessing now it came to [69:34] pass when they had heard the law that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude and before this Elias the [69:40] priest having the oversight of the Chamber of the House of our God was Allied unto toaya and he had prepared [69:47] for him a great chamber where a four time they had laid the meat offerings Frankin tense the vessels and the ties [69:53] the corn and the new wine the oil which was commanded to be given to the Levites and the singers and the porters the [69:59] offerings of the priests but in all this time was not I at Jerusalem for in the two and 13th year of AR Xerxes king of [70:06] Babylon came I unto the King after certain days obtained I leave of The King and I came to Jerusalem and [70:13] understood that the evil that Elias had did for tobiah in preparing in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house [70:20] of God and it grieved me sore therefore I cast forth all the households stuff of [70:25] TOA out of the chamber and I commanded that they clean the chambers and there brought I again the vessels of the house [70:32] of God with the meat offering in the frankincense and I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been [70:38] given them for the Levites and the singers that did the work were fled everyone to his field then I contended [70:44] with the rulers and said why is the house of God Forsaken and I gathered them together and set them in their [70:50] place and brought all Judah the tide of the Corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasures and I made treas [70:57] treasuries so now listen Nehemiah just a couple chapters ago made an agreement [71:05] right he made a vow to the most high God that this is what we gonna do and everybody signed it so now Nehemiah [71:12] freaking out like whoa whoa whoa we just agreed that we gonna pay ties we gonna bring our first fruit this is all the [71:18] stuff we said we going to do everything according to the law on this part and then he go to the temple he's like man [71:24] this thing is for Aken y' ain't did what we we ain't up we ain't upholding our end of the bargain now think about the [71:31] trauma that you feel we just got back we just now getting ourselves reestablished [71:38] we really not even on our feet yet we all still poor we all still doing bad [71:43] why are y'all playing with God so now he roughing people up and telling like no get this thing together right watch this [71:50] keep going I mean made treasuries over the [71:56] Treasures of sheliah the priest over the treasury sheliah the priest and zadok [72:01] the Scribe and of the Levites pah and next to them was Hanan the son of Zur [72:07] the son of Mah for they were counted faithful and their office was to [72:13] distribute unto their brothers remember me oh my God concerning this and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done [72:19] for the house of my God and for the offices there now listen to his attitude right he has this fear of God right [72:27] because for him it's like man I know he's serious I seen it I seen this guy just wipe us all off right according to [72:34] how his law is so he's not playing he looking like look God I remember me please don't block my name out so this is trauma that we hearing about right even before he when they [73:04] when they when they read the law they interpreted saying the moabit and the ammonite can't get in forever but that's [73:11] not what the law say right what our law actually say is to the 10th gener it says even to the [73:17] 10th Generation right but they look they like [73:23] no they can't get in Forever that's a problem right so that ends up [73:30] but this is all coming from trauma right keep going watch this in those days I saw in Judah some [73:37] trading wine presses on the Sabbath and bringing in sheep and lading donkeys and [73:42] as also wine grapes and figs and all manner of burdens which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day and I [73:48] right now these people are breaking the Sabbath they carrying they carrying burdens watch what he do I testified [73:55] against him in a day wherein they sold victuals and dwelt there dwelt men of TI also therein which brought fish and all [74:01] manner of wear and sold unto the sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah and Jerusalem then I contended with the [74:08] Nobles of Judah and said unto them what evil thing is this you do and profane the Sabbath day did not your fathers [74:14] thus and did not our God bring all this evil upon us and upon this city yet he now how did they profane the Sabbath [74:22] day some were treading wine presses on the Sabbath and bringing in sheaves BL [74:27] and D they were carrying burdens and laboring on the Sabbath day that is [74:33] profaning the Sabbath day right keep going watch [74:39] this yet you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath and it came to pass that when the Gates of [74:45] Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath I commanded that the gates should be shut and charge that they [74:50] should not open them until after the Sabbath some of my servants said die at the gates that there should no burden be [74:56] brought in on the Sabbath day for the there shall no what burden be brought in on the Sabbath day he said I closed the [75:04] gates because y'all were carrying burdens on the Sabbath day so in other [75:10] words it's like hey I'm just uh carrying this whole load that I got from the gentille just bringing it in it's the [75:15] Sabbath day you carrying it on your back that's profane that's Breaking the Set that's against our law right so that's [75:22] why he closed the gates watch this keep going so the merchants and sellers of [75:29] any kind that of any kind of wear lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice then I [75:35] testified against them and said unto them why lied ye about the wall if you do so again I will lay hands on you from [75:41] that time forth came they no more on the Sabbath and I right so now after the [75:46] gates was closed the Gentiles was at the door at the gates and they were trying to sail on the Sabbath but Gentiles [75:55] ain't Bound by the Sabbath they can sell and buying is not [76:00] labor right but now what Nehemiah has done is because we made an agreement we [76:08] made a vow to not buy our sell right so now he said listen I'mma [76:16] put my hands on y'all if y'all come back around here again he said the Gentiles took him serious Gentiles they ain't [76:22] come back around there no more right so I want y'all to separate the part that's [76:27] against the law and the part that was against The Vow our law don't say nothing about [76:34] buying on the Sabbath it says we can't us we can't work we can't bear burdens [76:41] and that's exactly what the people were doing so they did profane the Sabbath a lot of brothers go here to prove that [76:47] you can't buy or sell on the Sabbath and I listen don't buy and sell I I'm not trying to tell you to go buy and sell on [76:53] the Sabbath like you know what I'm saying don't but you can't sell you can't work on the Sabbath for sure that's law you can't carry no burdens on [77:00] the Sabbath that's law and that's what he is speaking to about profaning the Sabbath right that was truly what [77:06] profane the Sabbath keep going and I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves and that they should [77:13] come and keep the gates to sanctify the S on the Sabbath day keep the Gat and and let me say this [77:19] him telling the Gentiles to keep keep from selling to our people on the Sabbath it wasn't wrong there is nothing [77:25] wrong with anything that he did at this point right he didn't do nothing wrong [77:31] keep going remember me oh my God concerning this also right so he's telling most high God [77:38] again remember me is that end and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy in those days also saw I Jews that [77:45] had married wives of ashdod of Ammon and of Moab and their children spake half [77:50] the speech of ashdod and could not speak in the Jews language but according to the language of each people and I [77:56] contended with them and cursed them and smoked certain of them and plucked out their hair and made them swear by God [78:01] saying ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons nor take their daughters unto your sons or for yourselves did not [78:08] Solomon king of Israel sin by these things yet among many nations was there no King like him who was beloved of his [78:15] God and God made him King over all Israel nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause him to sin shall [78:22] we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil to transgress against our God and marrying strange wives one of the [78:29] sons of jeho the son of eliasi the high priest was son-in-law of selot the horonite therefore I chased him from he [78:37] from me remember me oh my God because they have defiled the priesthood and the Covenant of the priesthood and of the [78:43] Levites thus cleanse I them from all their strangers and appointed the words of the priests and the the wards of the [78:50] priests and the Levites everyone in his business and for the wood offering at times of appointed and for the first [78:56] fruits remember me oh my God for good right so remember the law for the high [79:01] priest was he had to marry a uh a Hebrew and she had to be a [79:08] virgin right on top of that they made a vow saying they wouldn't give their [79:13] daughters to any of the Gentiles and now he has to protect against that [79:19] vow right there's another place that the brothers will go and they'll misunderstand they'll say you know what [79:25] we can't have Gentiles see Nehemiah said Nehemiah is not law Nehemiah is talking [79:30] about a vow right everything that we get it has to be based off of the [79:38] law brother huh who was who was that brother that used to come it was somebody used [79:44] to come visit us and they were saying that he they they was tripping on him saying because his wife was white or [79:50] something like that and they were saying like he couldn't you know what I'm talking about no [79:55] it was this dude he had a white wife and I remember he was like he left his congregation or something like that because they said he wasn't supposed to be married to her or [80:02] something W I don't remember that was crazy he came to us yeah yeah he come to [80:09] us yeah in person yeah his wife too yeah I think so I don't know I I'm drawing a blank oh [80:18] but uh but yeah you know what I'm saying it's like that's that is what these brothers teach and I get it I understand [80:24] why they teach it but I want us to appreciate the the separation between the law and the history right what we [80:31] reading right now is the history but then I also want you to see that in a lot of cases they not even [80:37] saying this law right most of this stuff Nehemiah is he's reacting to The Vow [80:44] that he made he's not necessarily reacting remember everybody signed off on that vow he went through all the [80:50] names of the people that signed off for their vow they were representative of the people yeah those were the priests [80:55] and the Levites yeah so it's like this is not this is not like this is not like it's [81:00] just Nehemiah he looking like no we need to get this thing together remember Ezra [81:06] and the same thing they made a vow it's the same vow right so it's he's taking it serious [81:13] because it is serious so he's not doing nothing wrong but it's important for us to be able to separate it is that the end of the chapter yeah yeah so it's [81:21] it's important for us to be able to separate it because the same way our Brethren now look at this and they say [81:26] see you're not supposed to do X Y and Z see you not supposed to do X Y and Z we [81:31] about to read about the Pharisees doing the exact same thing right so when we [81:37] read through this new testament y'all gonna see those those those of y'all who haven't gone through us teaching the New [81:43] Testament before y'all GNA see that it's almost goingon to feel sympathetic to [81:48] the Pharisees when we read it right because I want y'all to understand where [81:53] does this come come from I'mma help justify what the far how the Pharisees looked at this [82:00] stuff we always look at it like oh them Wicked Pharisees the wicked sades no no no no no you know what I'm saying they [82:07] Wicked for sure but it ain't that simple your butt would have been Wicked too because you would have been convinced [82:12] that it was the right thing to do right that's what we gonna do we gonna kind of look at it I just want [82:18] y'all to see this is where a lot of this stuff came from how is it not adding to the law [82:24] you're doing what the law says but adding additional stipulations so adding to the law would [82:31] be me saying in 2024 I don't think people should smoke [82:37] cigarettes right so then I go to the book and I write in there Moses also [82:43] said don't smoke cigarettes then I'll go to people and I'll say you know what Moses said don't [82:49] smoke cigarettes you a sinner you going to hell that's adding to the law or adding [82:56] to the law would just be saying hey on top of everything else that Moses said [83:02] he uh you also shouldn't smoke cigarettes God don't want that that's a law right if I told people smoking [83:09] cigarettes is against the law that would be adding to the law right but if I say [83:15] hey we in in the congregation of Phillip do not smoke cigarettes and in my [83:21] household we do not smoke cigarettes and my wife can't smoke cigarettes and my kids can't smoke cigarettes and nobody [83:27] that's around me can smoke cigarettes and if you try to smoke cigarettes in my house I'm kicking you out right that's [83:33] not a law even if I praise God when I do it right that's my jurisdiction that's [83:41] my family that's my house those are my property so I don't want you smoking cigarettes on my that's against my law [83:48] that's not against God law but if I call you a sinner for doing it now I've added to the law right so again Traditions are [83:55] fine we can add Traditions all we want we could do whatever we want with we have the freedom to do whatever we want [84:02] as long as we don't violate law or commandment from yahushua if we don't [84:08] violate that we can do whatever we want to do we can add whatever we want we just can't call it something from yah if [84:15] it's not from yah right and that's what Nehemiah was doing right for the most case what we [84:22] was reading about what Nehemiah he was making a vow to the most high God saying hey in addition to what for a lot of [84:28] stuff not everything some of the stuff he was making a vow to just keep the law right when he talking about the ties and [84:34] the first fruits and all that that's that's our law anyway right so that's just what we supposed to be doing anyway [84:39] but he was making a vow like no we gonna get this together we gonna put this thing back in order right when he [84:44] talking about the seventh year of release that's our law anyway right so he he is making a vow saying we gonna [84:51] keep the law but also as part of his uh vow he made he vowed for things that weren't part of the law he said listen [84:56] we ain't going to give our our children to none of these Gentiles none of them [85:02] we ain't gonna buy or sell on the Sabbath at all right so he had to then keep up with [85:09] the vows that he made so at the end he's trying to show the most high God like man I worked hard look man I tried to do [85:15] this stuff I know these people was wicked they about to do whatever they want to do but please don't forget me yo [85:22] please don't forget me I don't block me out your book just remember me I [85:27] tried right I wanted y'all to notice that that was his attitude the whole time cuz you remember Sister Pam I [85:33] wanted you to no this too pushing them I'm punching [86:22] them I'm doing whatever I can and make them stay in line and they keep rebelling please just remember the work [86:29] I'm doing I know I'm in the midst of these people and I'm tied up with them and I'm in the midst of their wickedness but please notice me in the midst of it [86:37] I ain't doing the stuff that they do I'm trying to help them out I'm trying to figure this thing out I'm trying to get him back in line the people was wicked [86:44] right that's kind of like his attitude in the midst of it he didn't like he didn't like being around the wickedness either that's why he telling most high [86:50] God to remember him any other [86:56] questions that's the Old Testament there boys ladies and gentlemen that's it [87:02] that's the Old Testament that's the conclusion of the matter you know minus [87:09] the pastes go through that much I recommend [87:17] y'all go read those also Songs of Solomon we didn't really go through yeah and uh yeah but we did Lamentations [87:25] ET we went through most of the prophets yeah we touched the prophet we touched all the prophets we didn't we didn't [87:31] yeah we didn't read every page We Touch we touched most of the prophets we didn't read every page of kings and [87:36] Chronicles either you know what I'm saying we didn't read every single page but you know what I'm saying it's uh we God let us see it through now y'all willing we'll start the New Testament we'll see that through [89:31] New Testament tends to go a lot quicker than the Old Testament for a few reasons one because there's four books that [89:40] cover the gospel but it's all covering the same event so we won't be reading all four of those books what we'll be [89:46] doing is we'll be picking we'll be picking that narrative from one of the books sometimes we'll jump you know back [89:52] and forth just to get a different different view or get different details but we won't be reading all four of them [89:57] so the gospel itself you get through the gospel a lot quicker than reading four different books and then the uh and then [90:05] the narrative will um will uh kind of be around the the the event of Acts and [90:13] then what we going to do is we going to weave in the epistle letters and what we reading through acts you know what I'm [90:19] saying so there different things in order based off of how it happens in Acts that's when we'll start to weave in [90:25] what we read in the epistle letters um and then finally y'all will end off with [90:32] Revelations good good I'm
