obtained by grace through works not through Works through faith not through Works lest anyone should boast and given [01:29] freely as a as a uh gift to all who obey him we understand that if you do not [01:35] obey him it is made manifest or made obvious that you do not believe in this [01:40] state you should expect no good thing from the most high however anything that you do get whether it be a gift the [01:46] tongues the gift of Prophecy or any Supernatural experience that you may have it can and it will be used against [01:52] you in the day of judgment with that said Peace to the saints that are in the room to the saints that couldn't make it to the Saints watching in on the camera [01:58] but no peace to the wicked the only thing we say to them is repent that they [02:03] GNA kind of get back into the Kings and we gonna split off and [02:26] jump back into Micah at some point um and then we still got to we still got to read a lot more in Isaiah um but let's [02:34] let's get back into the Kings we going to learn about King Hezekiah so quick recap on the kings that we've covered so [02:40] far we looking at um a number of Kings here let's see [02:47] if we can do our laser pointer so we're looking at a number of our Kings here we know that we went all the way to King [02:53] hosia and then the Assyrians came took all of the northern kingdom into [02:59] captivity so we had multiple prophets Jonah Amos Hosea we started Micah a little bit we [03:06] read a little bit of uh Isaiah and during that same time we read about aziah remember he was the one who ran up [03:13] into the temple tried to light the incense got leprosy you had his son joam that had to take over while he was still [03:19] alive which is a little different from a lot of the kings that we've been seeing you have King ahaz that came after him [03:26] um ahaz is the one that kind of snitched out uh snitched out the the northern kingdom [03:32] and got the Assyrians to come take him over and then after ahaz Hezekiah comes into the play so when Hezekiah comes in [03:39] he's coming into the thick of it right when he comes in he's coming in right after and right while um the king of [03:48] Assyria is expressing their dominance over the land and we gonna see that the [03:53] king of Assyria also tries to express dominance over Judah right so we going to have to kind of kind of watch how [03:59] this plays out and see how the king Hezekiah handles it and see how he follows the guidance of the most high [04:05] God it's important for us to remember that the most high god um the most high [04:11] God spoke directly to uh ahaz from uh [04:17] Isaiah and remember he told ahaz he said listen ask me for a sign that I give you [04:23] that everything gonna be all right and ahaz didn't trust him so we we we know how that happens when when the most high [04:30] God you know gives us instruction and gives us guidance and we don't trust in him with that guidance so now we're [04:36] going to kind of see how it plays out with our King hez Hezekiah so this is Second Kings let's do 2 Kings [04:45] 18 2 Kings chapter 18 verse [04:58] one [05:05] now it came to pass in the third year of H Hosea son of elah king of Israel that [05:11] Hezekiah the son of ahaz King of Judah began to Reign 25 years old was he when he began to Reign and he reigned 29 [05:18] years in Jerusalem his mother's name also was Abbi the daughter of Zechariah [05:23] and he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord according to all that David his father did he removed the high [05:29] places and broke the images and cut down the Groves and breaking pieces in the Brazen serpent that Moses had made mhm [05:35] For unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it and he called it [05:41] Nan he trusted in Yahweh God of Israel he did what now he trusted in Yahweh God [05:46] of Israel right so Yahweh had his trust right he believed a man he was like listen if if he say it's gonna go down [05:52] that way I believe it right so Yahweh had his trust then [05:58] what so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah nor any [06:04] that were before him where he clave unto Yahweh and departed not from following him but kept [06:10] his Commandments which Yahweh commanded Moses and Yahweh was with him and he prospered where withs soever he went [06:17] forth and he rebelled against the king of Assyria and served him not he did what now he rebelled against the king of [06:22] Assyria and served him not why why might he do that because he trust in [06:28] y right gra uh Isaiah chapter 10 it's Isaiah 10 [06:40] verse1 this is Isaiah chapter 10 verse one where that son of yours man which [06:46] one Z I bet he forgot what you what he supposed to bring you water oh you got [06:51] the wrong way you got ask a har out a hard n [06:58] zakai where you [07:03] at yeah right well unto them that decree [07:10] unrighteous decrees in that right grievousness which they have prescribed to to turn aside the needy from the [07:17] judgment and to make and to take away the right from the poor of my people that widows may be their prey and [07:24] that they may Rob the fatherless and what will you do in the day of visitation and the Desolation which [07:30] shall come from far to whom will you Flee for help and where will you leave your glory without me they shall bow [07:37] down under the prisoners and they shall fall under the slain for all this his H [07:42] his anger is not turned away but his hand is stretched out still what do you think his hand stretched out for to give [07:48] you a handshake you think most high God trying to give you a hug he said for all this [07:53] stuff he talking about us by the way he said for all this stuff his anger is his anger is not turned away and his arm is [07:59] his hand is stretched out still when when the book say his hand is stretched out mean he trying to get some butt [08:05] right watch this keep going oh Assyrian the rod of my anger and the staff in [08:11] their hand is my indignation he said oh Assyrian the rod of my anger he called [08:17] Assyria the rod of his anger right now the book tells us in another place in Proverbs it tells us don't spare the rod [08:25] I'm paraphrasing but it tells us not to spare the rod he who spares the Rod hates his son it's talking about [08:32] disciplining our children so the rod was an instrument instrument that was used to discipline the children and it's [08:38] saying don't spare it so now he's saying Assyria is the rod of his anger in other [08:44] words Assyria is his instrument to discipline his [08:49] children right keep going watch this I will send him against an [08:55] hypocritical nation and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge to take the spoil and to take the [09:01] prey and To Tread down like the Meer of the streets right so he's telling them he's like listen I'm going to give it to [09:07] Assyria to go against a hypocritical Nation right to take all they stuff from [09:14] and To Tread down in their streets to Stomp all over them people right watch this keep going how be it he meaneth not [09:21] so neither does his heart think so but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off Nations right not a few so remember [09:27] I always say a lot often times when on the fellowship call or even even here [09:32] always talk about how it's important to be able to look at things in two [09:37] perspectives right you have God's perspective that we learn about from the book or that we might learn about if if [09:44] the most high God bless us to be a prophet or something like that we have the perspective that God gives us right [09:50] then you also have man's perspective the most high God just gave us both he said [09:56] listen Assyria is the rod of my anger right I'm sending to Syria to punish my [10:04] children but then he comes back and follows up he says but it ain't in his mind to do that it's not like it's not [10:11] like the king of Assyria is walking out saying hey I'm doing the will of God I'm punishing you guys because you guys have [10:17] been unjust most high God never communicated that to him most high God didn't sit down with the king of Assyria [10:22] and say listen this what I need you to do I need you to go over there and take over Israel uh because they've been bad [10:29] that's not the conversation Assyria the king of Assyria woke up one day right [10:35] and he had it in his mind oh I'm about to destroy and take over a whole bunch [10:40] of Nations that's his mind nobody told him to do it that's what he came up with his [10:46] own mind he said I'm great enough to do this the most high God is using his [10:52] mindset to kill two birds with one stone oh well okay you going to sin and I'mma [10:57] judge you but since you going to sin why don't you go ahead and you know what I'm saying take care of my people [11:04] too right keep going watch this for he said are not my princes all [11:11] together Kings right this is man's perspective so from King of ass serious perspective are man all my all my rulers [11:18] they Kings in themselves I'm a king of kings is what he's saying right I'm running the show but all the people [11:25] under me well they run their own Empire they run their own kingdom right I'm a performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem I will I will punish the fruit [12:00] the Stout I will punish the fruit of the Stout heart of the king of Assyria look this is what the most high God said [12:06] right so most high gotta start off with look Assyria is my tool that I'm using to punish I'm about to kick y'all butts [12:13] with Assyria because y'all Wicked y'all hypocritical right then he come back and he say but the king of Assyria ain't [12:19] thinking that king of Assyria thinking I'm the man I'm running the show I got this great Empire right but he said but [12:25] don't worry about it because after I get done punishing y'all and after everything supposed to happen in Israel [12:31] and in Judah then I'mma punish the king of Assyria so watch how he describes the [12:37] punishment that's going to end up with the king of Assyria I will punish the fruit of the [12:42] Stout heart of the king of Assyria in the glory of his high looks for he sath by the strength of my hand have I done [12:48] it and by my wisdom for I am prudent and I have removed the bounds of the people and have robbed their treasures and I [12:55] have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man right so when he say removed the bounds of the people he's saying I I [13:01] I I I se I Chang their borders right he said look look I y'all [13:07] used to live here and this used to be your land no I'm changing it and ain't that what he did right he took our [13:14] people who lived in Samaria who lived in the northern tribes he took all them [13:19] into the Captivity killed a whole bunch of folks a lot of them ran right but the ones he took them into a captivity and [13:26] then he moved them into a different land then he took Gentiles and moved the Gentiles into our land y'all remember we [13:33] read that right and then the Gentiles that was there started getting at uh uh eaten up by the animals and they was [13:40] looking like oh well it must be because the God of this land ain't pleased so then he took one of our priests to send [13:46] them back into the land to teach everybody how to serve God according to the northern tribe which was already off [13:51] to begin with so they started to adopt our uh our principles from the northern [13:57] C tribe that had already like a mixed a perverted version of the way the most [14:03] high God want us to serve right it's kind of like Christianity you got think of it like [14:09] Christianity right it's like okay it's like we supposed to be disciples and [14:14] then you got a group of people that instead of being disciples is Christians right then in a hope of being [14:20] disciples somebody teach them Christianity right it's a watered down [14:26] version corrupted version of what the most high God asked for so that's the state that things are in but that [14:32] happened because the king of Assyria changed their borders right he changed the territory he said man listen instead [14:39] of you you know say he changed their bounds is what the book say instead of you being here you gonna be over here you're bound by this area of land [14:46] instead of being B Bound by this area of land right actually no different from [14:51] what we talked about in the LA last Fellowship call right when when we talked about uh Israel and Palestine [14:58] right that's how that situation happen because you got all the people you got you got all these Gentiles you know what [15:03] I'm saying that that that's fighting over the land but then you got the you got the Europeans that change the [15:09] borders they said okay well you know what this land belongs to to to the Jewish people and then this land belongs [15:16] to the Palestinians and they keep changing their borders and what does that do that causes conflict that causes people to [15:23] Rebel so now Watch What Happens here with the king of Assyria and my man hath found as a nest [15:30] The Riches of the people and as one gathers eggs that are left have I gathered all the Earth and there was [15:35] none that moved the wing or opened the mouth or pee or peeped shall the axe [15:41] boast itself against him that Huth with it therewith or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it as if [15:49] the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up or as if the staff [15:54] should lift up itself as if it were no wood therefore shall the Lord the Lord [16:00] of hosts send among his fat ones leanness and under his glory he shall Kindle a burning like the fire like the [16:06] burning of a fire and the light of Israel shall be for a fire and His holy one for a a flame and it shall burn and [16:14] devour his thorns and his briers in one day and shall consume the glory of his forest and of his fruit fruitful field [16:21] both soul and body and they shall be as when a stand standard Bearer fainteth [16:28] and the rest of the Trees of his Forest shall be few that a child May writeen right so you look at it and he's [16:35] telling you he's saying this is the tool I'm going to end up punishing the tool because have y'all ever heard of a tool [16:42] that argue with the the one who when was the last time you seen the axe jump up and like yo yo yo don't swing me like [16:48] that right that's what he's saying he's saying it don't even make sense what you think this man gonna be able to do with [16:53] me this is my tool so he said I'mma punish him when I get done with it cuz I'm done with the tool he served their [16:59] purpose right so now when you think about this this is what Isaiah has been walking around prophesying about when [17:07] you think about that then you got to put yourself in the mindset is if Hezekiah [17:13] trusts the most high God and he believed that Isaiah is speaking the word of the [17:18] most high god well then yeah this is this is why you will rebel against the king ofria cuz you know what his end [17:25] is right you trust that in the end most high God using them to punish me I get [17:31] it I get it stuff is rough right now I get it but in the end my trust is with [17:37] the most high God and I know what he gonna do to you eventually right so now let's go back to Second [17:44] Kings you just have to kind of put yourself in the mindset of Hezekiah I trust God and I believe that Isaiah is [17:52] talking of God so he's hearing this stuff he [17:57] hearing what Isa is saying and once he hear he like oh okay that's how it play out he ride of your [18:04] anger but uh but you going to punish him okay and you gonna make them burn up all in one day okay cool if that's the [18:12] case then you know what I'm saying I ain't about to bow down to him I'mma rebel against him watch [18:18] this and the Lord was with him and he prospered whatever he went verse 7 this [18:23] is uh 2 Kings 18:7 watch the book say and the Lord was with him and prospered [18:28] wheresoever he went where wheresoever he went forth and he rebelled against the king of Assyria and served him not he [18:35] smoke the Philistines even unto Gaza and the borders thereof from the Tower of the Watchmen to the F City and it came [18:41] to pass in the fourth year of King Hezekiah which was the seventh year of Hosea son of ela king of Israel that [18:48] Shaner king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it watch this look so Bes whenever it say besiege besiege [18:56] besiege is what they doing to the uh pal Ians right now right what the what the Jewish [19:01] people are doing to the Palestinians besi is when you trap somebody in right anytime you trap somebody in and and so [19:09] what they doing in the Palestinians they trap them in they not letting they turn they shut off their power they not letting water food get in so it's like [19:16] whatever you got that's what you got ain't nothing coming in and out because what you want to do is you wna you wanna [19:21] you want to take somebody to a position where they gonna surrender right so now you got to understand it this the book [19:27] that we reading we besieged Nations and Nations have besieged us right so a lot of people [19:34] that's looking at like oh my goodness this is a humanitarian crisis this is a war crime this is a okay you could do [19:41] all that but at the same time I know I know as Hebrews we don't like the Jewish people we get to talk to the Jewish [19:47] people but they doing the same thing that our fathers did and the same thing happened to our [19:53] fathers right you ain't never heard the book say this is a war crime but transgressed his Covenant [21:54] and all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded and would not hear them nor do them mhm now the 14th year of [22:01] King Hezekiah did sarb King of Assyria come up against all the F cities of Judah and took them and Hezekiah king of [22:08] Judah sent to the king of Assyria to lakish saying I have offended return from me that which you put on me will I [22:16] bear and the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah the king of Judah 300 [22:21] Talons of silver and 30 talents of gold and Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the [22:26] Yahweh and in the Treasures of the King's house mhm at that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors [22:32] of the Temple of the Lord and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid and gave it to the king of [22:39] Assyria cuz that's peace yeah this when that boy was talking big trash right this is peace this is what it look like [22:46] yo I'm running up on you you want to go to war or do you want peace if you say peace give me the [22:54] tribute so what Hezekiah had to do that's the rule that's our law right okay if I say I got two options I [23:02] with 20,000 or else while the other is yet a [26:21] great a far off a great way off he sendeth an embassage and desire [26:26] conditions of peace mhm so likewise whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has he cannot be my disciple [26:34] you have to understand this is this is practical wisdom this is what yahua used [26:40] in terms of being his disciple he said listen if you have a plan to go to [26:47] war why won't you consider to see if you have what it takes to win this war and [26:52] if you don't go make peace [26:58] so this is what Hezekiah did Hezekiah looking like man I don't even know I don't even know [27:05] if I can win this one so aseki said you know what instead all right it's peace [27:11] but if you make peace you have to pay tribute that's it it ain't there's no [27:16] other like there's no in between option you fight or you pay [27:21] tribute right same thing that's happening in Palestine right now at any point Palestine Palestinian be like n we ye shall be judged right [31:05] however you judge that's how you gonna be judged watch this and with what me ye [31:10] measure and what and with what measure ye me it shall be measured to you again [31:15] right however you measure that thing out and say okay this is what's appropriate this is what's inappropriate that's the [31:21] same measure it's gonna be dealed out to you right keep going [31:28] and why beholdest thou the moat that is in thy brother's eye and consider not the beam that is in thine own eye or how [31:35] will you say to thy brother let me pull out the mold out of thine eye and behold a beam is in thine own eye thou [31:41] hypocrite First cast out the beam out of thine own eye and then shall you see clearly to cast out the moat out of thy [31:48] brother's eye this
