Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 31, 2026

Welcome to Taught of Yah. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain the rules for using taughtofyah.com (the “website”), the Bible Reader app for Android and iPhone (the “app”), and the Taught of Yah YouTube channel and its videos (together, the “Services”). Please read them along with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. Accepting these Terms

By using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a congregation, study group, or other group, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for that group.

The Services are not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. Who we are

Taught of Yah is a Bible teaching work. It is not a corporation, LLC, nonprofit, or registered organization. Taught of Yah is operated by Philmore Harris, an individual. In these Terms, “Taught of Yah,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of Taught of Yah.

3. Educational and religious content

The Services offer Bible teaching, study material, reading plans, answers to questions, and related content for educational and religious purposes. They reflect our understanding of Scripture and our beliefs. We encourage you to search the Scriptures for yourself and to test everything you read and hear.

Nothing in the Services is professional advice. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or tax advice. Please consult a qualified professional for those needs. Content about the Appointed Times, the start of the day, the calendar, and similar topics is offered as teaching; you remain responsible for your own decisions and practice.

4. Acceptable use

When you use the Services, please don’t:

  • break any law or anyone else’s rights;
  • post or send anything threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, or deceptive;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection to Taught of Yah;
  • send spam, advertising, or links unrelated to the discussion;
  • upload viruses or try to break into, overload, or disrupt the Services;
  • scrape, copy in bulk, or harvest data from the Services by automated means, except as ordinary search engines do;
  • use the Services to collect other people’s personal information.

We may remove content, limit access, or block anyone who breaks these rules.

5. What you send us

Some features let you send us content:

  • Verse questions in the app (“Ask”). If you send a question, you give us permission to store it, answer it, lightly edit it, and publish it with the answer on the website and in the app, without your name, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please don’t include your name or other personal details in a question.
  • Prayer requests and contact forms. Prayer requests may be shared with the Taught of Yah prayer group so they can pray for you. Don’t include anything you want kept private. Messages sent through the Contact Us page are read by Taught of Yah.
  • Newsletter sign-up. Your email is used to send the newsletter and updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
  • Comments. If you post a comment, it may be shown publicly. We may moderate, edit for length, or remove comments at our discretion.
  • YouTube comments and live chat are governed by YouTube’s own rules as well as these Terms.

You keep ownership of what you send us. By sending it, you give Taught of Yah a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, permanent license to use, store, edit, display, and publish it in connection with the Services. You confirm you have the right to share it and that it follows these Terms.

Journal, notes, and highlights in the app. Your journal entries, notes, highlights, bookmarks, and reading progress are stored on your device. We don’t receive them and claim no rights to them. You are responsible for backing them up; see the Privacy Policy for details about device backups and “Export my data.”

Accounts. Some parts of the Services, such as Taught of Yah University (learn.taughtofyah.com), let you create an account and sign in. If you create an account:

  • give accurate information and keep it up to date;
  • keep your password secure and don’t share your account;
  • you are responsible for activity on your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these Terms or to misuse the Services.

6. Intellectual property and sharing

Unless noted otherwise, the teaching content in the Services (including articles, Study posts, lesson notes, answers, videos, graphics, the Taught of Yah name and Tav mark logo, and the app’s design and code) is © 2026 Taught of Yah. All rights reserved, except as allowed below.

You may share. You’re welcome to share our content for personal, study, and non-commercial teaching purposes, including in a congregation or study group, as long as you:

  • credit “Taught of Yah” and link to taughtofyah.com (or the original video) where you can;
  • don’t change the meaning or present edited content as our own words;
  • don’t sell it or use it in anything that is sold or behind a paywall.

Linking to and embedding our YouTube videos using YouTube’s own sharing tools is always welcome. For any other use, including commercial use, translations, or republishing whole articles or videos, please email us first.

Scripture texts are covered separately in the next section.

8. Donations

Donations to Taught of Yah are voluntary gifts that support the website, the app, videos, and related work. Please note:

  • Not tax-deductible. Taught of Yah is not a registered charity or nonprofit, so donations are not tax-deductible.
  • No goods or services. A donation does not buy any product, service, membership, or special access.
  • How to give. You can give through Cash App ($TaughtofYah) or Zelle, using the details on our Donate page, or by credit card through the donation form, which is processed by PayPal.
  • Non-refundable. Donations are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If you believe a donation was made in error or without your permission, email us within 30 days and we will review it. Zelle and Cash App payments generally can’t be reversed once sent, so please check the recipient and amount before you send.
  • Payment services. Cash App, Zelle, and PayPal handle your payment under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive or store your card number.
  • Recurring gifts. The donation form offers one-time gifts only.

9. Third-party links and services

The Services link to or rely on services we don’t control, including YouTube (Google), the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, payment services (Cash App, Zelle, and PayPal), our email newsletter services (Mailchimp and Brevo), analytics services (Google and Jetpack/Automattic), spam protection (Akismet and Google reCAPTCHA), our hosting provider, and our push notification provider (OneSignal). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement.

10. The Bible Reader app

We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Bible Reader app on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial use, under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

The app store you download from (Google Play or the Apple App Store) has its own terms, which also apply. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Taught of Yah, not Apple; Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.

The app may stop working on older devices or operating systems, and we may update, change, or stop offering it at any time.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We work hard to be accurate, but we don’t guarantee that the Services, including Scripture text, notes, translations, calendars, reading plans, reminders, or live alerts, are complete, error-free, uninterrupted, or always available.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Taught of Yah and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data (including journal entries or notes stored on your device), arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (not counting donations) or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law while using the Services, or if content you send us causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, damages, and legal fees that result for Taught of Yah and its operator.

14. Ending access

You can stop using the Services at any time, and you can delete the app from your device. We may suspend or end anyone’s access to any part of the Services, or remove content, if they break these Terms or misuse the Services. Sections 5 (licenses you gave us), 6, 7, 8, and 11 through 16 continue to apply after access ends.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will try to give notice on the website or in the app. Continuing to use the Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
