congregation on the first day of the second month in the [05:52] second year after they will come up out of the land of egypt so how far is that apart from when we reared up the tabernacle like a day not only do you have tribes but [17:24] you also have camps so then each tribe [17:29] has to be within a camp and then there's a leader within each camp a leading tribe within each camp [17:35] so the way it will have it line up is that the camp of judah [17:40] is always going to be to the east right so you had a camp of judah to the east [17:46] inside the camp of judah you got judah issachar and zebulun then you have the camp of uh ephraim [17:54] that's behind right that's benjamin manasseh and ephraim [18:00] then the camp of reuben is going to be in the south that's gas simian and ruben [18:06] and then the campadan up top which is in the north that's naftali asher and dan [18:11] right and so you can see you can see like a you know a rough estimate of the numbers um of the people that's in there [18:19] and then in the middle you see the that's where the levites are so let's talk a little bit about the levites [18:24] jump uh over to numbers chapter three [18:33] where east so the tabernacle will be facing you know i'm saying facing to the east [19:13] right and you'll have judah that's right there in the front so the front is where judah is right here and yeah judah is car and [19:20] that zebulun would all be mixed up into one camp right [19:25] yeah and then the camp is ephraim but benjamin is in that camp [19:31] and you'll see right now you kind of look at it as your shapes but in actuality those would be a whole bunch [19:36] of little tents and little houses you know i'm saying little temporary houses for people to live in and so just think [19:42] of it as a big old campus a huge campsite with all these thousands and thousands of people that's just the men [19:48] right the numbers that we have up there is just the men that's ready for war so you have to be 20 or above everybody [19:54] there that's what that county is but then on top of that you got women and then you got children so this is there's [20:00] at least a million people out there probably more that that's sitting out there in camps [20:05] so this is a huge huge huge campsite yeah who you know i'm saying you ever like looked on tv and saw like a concert [20:11] or [20:23] yeah that's what it looked like and that's what we were trying to prepare ourselves for for war so that's why the most high god surrounded us at first he [20:31] counted all the men of war then he surrounded us with those people because that's what we're preparing ourselves for [20:37] you got the priests right front row seat priest right here right next to the title [20:42] best seat unto him right so he told them to bring the [21:40] tribe of levi near because you notice out of all the counting that we did the levites weren't counted [21:48] right there's another tribe the levites so they weren't counted [21:53] so now we're about to count the levites but see how it's a little different when we counted the rest of the tribes we started at what age 20 and older 20 and [22:00] older we started right let's see how it works for the levites and they shall keep his charge the [22:06] charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation to do the service of the tabernacle and they [22:12] shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation in the charge of the children of israel [22:18] to do the service of the tabernacle and thou shalt give the levites unto aaron and to his sons [22:23] they are holy given unto him out of the children of israel right so now the sons of aaron which are [22:30] levites also all the other levites that are not sons of aaron were given to the sons of aaron [22:38] in other words the sons of aaron could rule over them right they were servants [22:43] to the sons of aaron so the sons of aaron are what [22:48] what position does the sons of aaron hold [22:56] the levites are servants to the sons of aaron but what position do the sons of aaron hold [23:04] the priest right off your mouth so they're the priests so now the priests [23:10] are served by the levites right so now the most high god is about to talk about what the service is let's [23:17] look into it [23:22] and thou shalt anoint appoint aaron and his sons and they shall wait on their priest's office and the [23:27] stranger that comes nigh shall be put to death when they say stranger it's not talking [23:32] we're about to celebrate next week right we're celebrating the fact that the most [24:46] high god intended to kill the firstborn child of everybody in egypt but those who have faith and put the blood
