Then Said Yahushua Unto Them Plainly, Lazarus Is Dead

Summary

Why did Yahushua say that Lazarus was sleeping, and why did he wait two days before going to him? In this Sabbath lesson from John 11, Deuteronomy 31 and 1 Kings 2, we see that scripture speaks of death as sleeping with the fathers, as it did for Moses and David. Through Job 19 and Daniel 12, you’ll learn why Martha already knew her brother would rise again at the last day, before Yahushua called Lazarus out of the grave. Finally, Luke 18 and Luke 17 teach us to pray always and not faint, to humble ourselves like the publican, and to say we are unprofitable servants who have done our duty.
