Summary
What does the book require of those who lead a congregation? In this Sabbath lesson through Titus 1, we read slowly through Paul’s list: an elder must be blameless, the husband of one wife, with faithful children, not self-willed, not soon angry, no striker, not given to wine or filthy lucre, but a lover of hospitality, sober, just and holy. With James 3, Titus 1 and Isaiah 29, you’ll hear why not many should be masters, how vain talkers teach for filthy lucre’s sake, and how people draw near with their mouths while their hearts are far from Yahuah. Finally, Titus 2 and 3 teach aged men and women to set a pattern of good works, and define the grace of God that brings salvation as teaching us to deny ungodliness and live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world.
