Taught of Yah believes the name of the Almighty is Yahuah, and His Son’s name is Yahushua.
Scripture shows what the Son’s name means. A heavenly messenger told Joseph, “thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). The name was given because He saves. The Hebrew spelling of the names comes from the history of the language. Most Bibles print “THE LORD” where the Almighty’s name belongs, and some King James verses write it as “JEHOVAH.” The name “Jesus” is a transliteration of Yahushua. That means the name was carried over into another language. Yahushua means “Yahuah saves.”
Taught of Yah University has a short beginner’s course about the names Yahuah and Yahushua.
