On the 15th day of the 7th month, called Ethanim, comes the highlight of our ancestors’ year. An eight day festival with two excuses to take off of work. We’re talking about the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Ingathering, the last of the appointed times given to Moses in the Law (Purim is our last feast of the year but is not in the Law).
This year, Ingathering begins on the sunset of October 8th with a sacred gathering. The feast lasts then for 7 days of fun and activities and on the last day, the 8th day, there is another sacred gathering to hear and learn of the Word of Truth. This takes us from the sunset of October 8th to the sunset of October 16th with the first day of the feast being a high Sabbath (Oct 8th-9th from sunset to sunset) and the last day of the feast also being a high Sabbath (Oct 15th-16th from sunset to sunset).
