Hath Not the Same Hezekiah Taken Away His High Places and His Altars

Summary

Do you leave Bible study feeling good but living the same way? In this Sabbath lesson from Isaiah 29, Deuteronomy 4, and James 1, we learn that hearing the word without doing it makes us forgetful hearers who can be taught to fear God by the precepts of men, so pick one scripture that hits you, work on it on purpose, and even tell others so they can hold you accountable. We also see why it’s better to be honest with Yahuah about where you stand than to lie to yourself, and how Sennacherib mistook Hezekiah’s obedience in tearing down the high places for going against God. Finally, Zechariah 14 shows that Yahuah often waits until we have nothing left before He steps in, and that the Feast of Tabernacles will be kept forever, even by the nations.
