He Cannot Sin, Because He Is Born of God

Summary

Why does John write so plainly about sin and righteousness? In this Sabbath lesson through 1 John, we see that the apostles were eyewitnesses who handled the Word of life, as 2 Peter 1, Acts 1 and John 20 confirm, and Yahushua tells Thomas that blessed are they who have not seen and yet have believed. Through 1 John 1 and 2 and John 3, you’ll learn that God is light with no darkness at all, that men are condemned who love darkness because their deeds are evil, and that we know Him only if we keep His commandments. Finally, 1 John 3, 4 and 5, with Psalm 17, Romans 8 and Hebrews 6 and 10, teach that the hope of seeing Him purifies us, that whosoever is born of God does not sin, and that love for our brother shows the love of God dwelling in us.
