Summary
What happens when we find out we’ve been sinning without knowing it? In this Sabbath lesson from Isaiah 28 and Matthew 13, we learn why Yahushua spoke in parables, and how the seed of the word only takes root in a heart that hears and understands it. Through John 7 and John 8, you’ll see that understanding the word comes by obeying it, while Leviticus 5, Exodus 34 and Romans 3 teach that once we learn of a sin done in ignorance, we are guilty and must deal with it right away. Finally, David’s confession in 2 Samuel 12 and the trespass offering in Leviticus 5 remind us that God forgives the repentant, yet sin still carries consequences and calls us to make things right.
