Summary
What is faith, as the book itself defines it? In this Sabbath lesson from Hebrews 11, Romans 8, James 2 and Romans 10, we learn that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, shown by our works and coming by hearing the word of God. Through Hebrews 11, you’ll see how Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses and many others pleased God by believing that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him, and all died in faith without receiving the promises. Finally, Hebrews 12 calls us to run with patience looking unto Yahushua, to receive the Father’s chastening that yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness, to learn from Esau who sold his birthright, and to come to Mount Zion and a kingdom that cannot be moved.
