son Isaac came from his wife right so you had Abraham and [12:30] then you got Isaac the promise was given to Isaac right so he continued the promise [12:35] Isaac had two sons and then he had a uh one of his sons named Jacob right so [12:42] then you got Jacob so then Jacob his name ended up being changed to Israel the most high God [12:49] blessed them you know what I'm saying and his name was changed to Israel so our nation was called Israel it was [12:57] named after him so a lot of times when you hear the book say our fathers right our fathers didn't do this or back in [13:04] the time of our fathers a lot of times they talking about these gentlemen that we're talking about right now Abraham [13:09] Isaac and Jacob right because Israel or Jacob is where our nation came from so [13:16] we are all sons of who Jacob We Are All Sons of Israel sons of [13:24] Jacob right that's our identity right that's where we come from so we look at this [13:31] and we sons of Israel and then these are the wives of uh uh of [13:39] of uh Abraham of Isaac and then Leia and [13:44] Rachel are the wives of uh Jacob so they had kids so let's look into the kids [13:51] mm-hmm so these are the children that they had [13:57] right I'ma start I'ma skip the first two they had Reuben all right so Jacob's [14:03] sons Israel Sons Reuben Simeon Judah Dan [14:09] naphtali Gad Asher issachar Zebulon and [14:14] Benjamin okay those are the sons he had he had another son named Joseph [14:21] Joseph had two sons their names was Ephraim [14:27] in Manasseh now Jacob took those two sons and [14:32] adopted those two sons and he said they are like his first two sons so that's why you see Ephraim and [14:38] Manasseh first really those are his Grand those are Jacob's grandsons but he made them as if they were his two sons [14:45] this makes up the 12 tribes of Israel right the top ones in the red [14:51] Jacob had another son called Levi Levi was the second born Third born second [14:57] born Reuben to me and leave dirt Third born so Levi was the third born [15:03] Levi though was made a service he was made he was he was adopted by God right [15:10] so the most high God took him and now Levi served so Levi is not necessarily A [15:16] Tribe in the way that the others are tribes Levi he Services everyone so he [15:21] doesn't get territory so when we start to talk about the land that we inherited you'll see that all of these areas in [15:28] the red these spots in the red right all those squares they all are going to have land in the in the map that we look at [15:34] the one place that will not have a specific territory of land would be Levi because each area had to give him land [15:42] right so he split up amongst all the nation and everybody had to donate a portion of their land specifically to [15:48] Levi because Levi don't ever have to pay for nothing everybody got to pay for Levi's stuff right because Levi serves [15:55] who foreign [16:01] Levi serves most high God by way of the priests right so the priests come from Levi not [16:08] all the Levi's are priests but the priests come from the Levites okay [16:14] now let's go back over
