Summary
Why did Mary anoint the feet of Yahushua, and why did he ride into Jerusalem on a donkey? In this Sabbath lesson from John 12, 1 Kings 1 and 1 Samuel 10, Yahushua is anointed for the day of his burying, and like Solomon and Saul he comes as the king of Israel, riding on a donkey as it was written. Through Mark 11 and 1 Kings 6, we see why the people spread palm branches and garments before him, as the temple of Yahuah was carved with palm trees and its floor overlaid with gold. Finally, Matthew 21 and 23 show Yahushua answering the question of his authority, teaching the parables of the two sons and the vineyard, and warning not to be called rabbi or father, for one is our master, the Messiah.
