So Then With the Mind I Myself Serve the Law of God; but With the Flesh the Law of Sin

Summary

Why does Paul say the law is holy, yet he still finds himself doing the evil he would not? In this Sabbath lesson from Romans 7 and Ruth 1, Paul shows that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives, just as Naomi’s widowed daughters-in-law were free to marry again, and that with the mind he serves the law of God but with the flesh the law of sin. Through Jeremiah 17, Romans 8 and Isaiah 46, you’ll learn that Yahuah gives every man according to the fruit of his doings, that they which walk after the spirit are the sons of God and are saved by hope, and that God declares the end from the beginning. Finally, Romans 9 and 10, Matthew 12 and Mark 7 teach that with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and that what comes out of a man shows what is in his heart.
