thing from the most high however anything that you do give whether it be a gift of tongues a [00:56] gift of Prophecy or any Supernatural experience that you may have it can and it will be used talked a little bit about the book of uh the book of uh [01:26] Galatians right and we talked about how Paul was framing an argument in his letter remember what we reading our [01:33] epistle letters right so he was framing an argument in his letters against the [01:38] group that they call the circumcision right the the circumcision group and [01:44] that circumcision group represented Hebrews that kept the law right then you [01:50] had the group that's called the uncircumcision that's usually talking about Gentiles that do not keep the law [01:58] so Paul was making the case that although he also is a Hebrew the law is [02:05] not what justifies right so all the Gentiles that are uncircumcised that were feeling [02:11] compelled to be circumcised in order to be saved he is trying to tell them that wasn't necessary and not only that if [02:18] you feel it was necessary then you fallen for gra fallen from Grace so [02:24] that's what we read last week he kind of laid it on very very thick in uh Galatians to try to make that point so [02:31] now we going to pick up we going to go back to acts so if y'all remember we left off in Acts chapter 15 right the [02:39] big argument it was that big argument between um that big argument between uh [02:46] the the circumcision group right and the Pharisees against Paul and the rest of [02:54] the Apostles right so that was Acts him because of the Jews which were in those quarters for they knew all that his father was a Greek now [04:05] we just got done reading about how Paul was saying you don't need to be circumcised right but now he has a boy [04:12] with him and this boy his dad is a gentile so if his dad is a gentile what [04:19] does that make him Gentile how do we know that because the lineage goes through [04:25] that's what they walked with right but [07:20] in reality our scripture says everything The Inheritance the identity the family everything is passed down by the father [07:27] so going back to acts right Acts chapter 16 in Acts chapter 16 you had a boy [07:35] whose father was a gentile so the way how would a Hebrew look at [07:42] him we gonna look at him like oh your daddyy a gentile you a gentile because if your daddy was Levi then we would [07:49] have called you a levite a Israelite if your daddy was Israel we would have called you a [07:56] Israelite right but since your daddy is a gentile I can't connect you to being [08:01] an Israelite therefore that's how I see you this is important to understand because Paul circumcised this [08:08] kid right and we just got done reading in Galatians how he was saying look [08:14] being circumcised won't save you and being circumcised is nothing but nevertheless Paul decided to [08:21] circumcise this Gentile kid and remember Paul's letter was written to Gentiles [08:26] this is why people get confused about Paul because people want to make things very simple for themselves and so what [08:33] they'll do and they'll say it's this extreme or that extreme but that's not how the book works that's not how Paul [08:40] teaches it what Paul teaches is very nuanced right and we gonna try to [08:45] understand some of that Nuance these men are the Servants of the most high [13:26] God and they show us the way to Salvation is there anything wrong with [13:32] what she said is there anything evil about what she [13:37] said all right now watch how Paul respond and this she did many days but [13:43] Paul being grieved turned and said to the spirit I command thee in the name of yahua the Messiah to come out of her and [13:49] he came out that same hour and when her master saw that the hope of their gains were gone they caught they caught Paul [13:56] and Silas and Drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers and brought them to the magistrate saying these men [14:01] being Jews do exceedingly trouble our city and teach Customs which are not lawful for us to receive neither to [14:07] observe being Romans right so now he cast the spirit that was out of her [14:13] remember this Spirit was in her but it caused her to do all this divination [14:19] that they was making money off of you ever seen somebody do magic [14:57] like real stuff and so people would come and they would give her money so then when Paul started coming around the [15:03] spirit that was in her that caused her to do all these things it just starts speaking through her and it had to [15:09] confess that this is Paul he serves the most high God and he's teaching us the [15:14] way to salvation but he keep repeating it Paul got grieved in other words he got annoyed by it right and so Paul [15:21] turned around was like yo Spirit come out of her but it's not because the spirit was lying right and that's the [15:27] part I want y'all to get sometimes I talk to people and they like no the spirit be moving in my church and [15:35] I tell them okay well well explain it to me you know what I'm saying just like just like tell me what you mean by that [15:41] oh no it's just a spirit filled Church you know um they pray a lot I'm like okay okay and they speak in tongues I'm [15:48] like okay when they speak in tongues though do they the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were open and everyone's Bonds were loose right so [32:50] now everybody's Bonds were loose what it's talking about is the things that was holding them there holding them at [32:57] their feet together the Earth start shaking Boom the gates open to the prison boom they pop open [33:03] because it's a big old earthquake then all of a sudden it shake them loose so now they they legs is free what you [33:09] think they about to do now and why would they do something like that because they free [33:17] right imagine this you serve the most high God you didn't do nothing wrong you [33:23] know you didn't do nothing wrong but these crooked police locked you up only [33:28] because you serve God right so you sitting in there and you them forth and said go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life so here's the [42:40] difference they escaped prison but they didn't escape prison just because they was trying to sneak out no the angel of [42:47] Yahweh came and was like yo I opened up the doors I want y'all to go preach in the temple watch what happened next [43:00] when they heard that they entered into the temple early in the morning and taught but the high priest came and they that were with him and called the [43:06] counsel together and the Senate of the children of Israel and sent to the prison to have them [43:12] brought but when the officers came and found them not in the prison they returned and told saying the prison [43:18] truly found we shut with all the safety and the keepers standing without before the [43:23] doors but when we had opened we found no man Within now when the high priest and the captain [43:29] of the temple and the chief priests heard these things they doubted of them where unto this would grow then came one [43:37] and told them saying behold the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the the [43:43] people right so they ended up being teaching you know teaching right back in the temple and the the the keepers of [43:50] the prison didn't know how that thing happened right let's jump back over where Paul was is Acts chapter uh the [43:57] end 16 we at to end of 16 yet uh 16 28 [44:03] 28 this Acts chapter 16 verse 28 so Paul's still in the prison watch [44:11] this and remember Paul didn't leave because there was no angel that came to him and told him to [44:17] leave right most high God didn't come to him and tell him you can leave so he stays subject to the authorities that's [44:24] very important y'all you happy that's not the stuff [46:49] that's of God God don't care nothing about that stuff not in this [46:54] life it's good if you happy in this life and you got joy in this life but the happiness and the joy we [47:00] look for it come in the next life everything in this life we got to count that thing as [47:07] lost keep going this is Acts chapter 16 verse probably [47:14] 29 but he cried with a loud voice saying do thyself no harm for we are all here then he called for a light and sprang in [47:21] and came trembling and fell down before Paul and Silas and brought them out and said sir what must I do to be saved [47:29] right so now because they were faithful and they didn't get scared and try to [47:35] run away and escape prison when nobody told him to do that now you have the [47:40] guard that's coming to them humbled crying looking at them and saying [47:46] because you remember he was ready to kill himself he was so afraid that he thought he was gonna die so he is ready to kill himself put that phone away [47:53] right he is ready to kill himself and then he ended up crying saying what [48:00] must I do to be saved y'all all have to understand that that is the most publicly y'all didn't give me due process y'all didn't take me to court no [49:31] judge said I should be whooped and then you put me in prison and now after a while now y'all trying to just tell me brought them out and the and desired them to depart out of the city and they went out of the [50:00] prison and entered into the house of Lydia and when they had seen the Brethren they comforted them to a place called [50:41] thessalonica right and then for three Sabbath days in a row the book that he [50:46] reasoned with them out of the scriptures in other words he went to them he opened up the line up with this book it's because they ain't got no light right let's jump back this is Acts [56:03] chapter 17 so Paul he he's talking to the people of thessalonica and when he goes in there [56:10] he went for three sabbaths on the road so he go in there on one Sabbath he open up the book like look man let me tell [56:16] you so look when Moses was talking about this in Deuteronomy chapter 18 he is really talking about the Messiah and [56:23] then in Numbers Chapter 30 you know how it's it's telling you that a husband can take on the penalty of the vow of the [56:30] wife look Sabbath days in a row reasoning with him trying to explain it to him right let's see what what [56:56] happens after that opening an alleging that the [57:02] Messiah must need have suffered and risen again from the dead and that this yahua whom I preach unto you is the [57:09] Messiah and some of them believed and consorted with Paul and Silas and of The Devout Greeks a great multitude of the crying these that have turned the world upside down have come here [57:42] also whom Jason have received and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar [57:48] saying that there is another king Brethren immediately sent Away Paul and Silas by night into Berea Who coming there went in went into [58:07] the synagogue of the Jews these were more noble than those of thessalonica and that they received the word with all [58:13] Readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures Daily whether those things were so right so now look when he was in [58:20] thessalonica he had to argue with them boys for three sabbaths in a row he and [58:26] there no I'm trying to tell you this what it is they coming back he reasoning with him that means pretty much he's trying to he's making an argument right [58:33] and so he did that three sabbaths in a row then he go to Berea he left thessalonica he went to Berea when he go [58:39] to Berea when they hear they looking like that's what that's what that
