Summary
Why did Yahushua stop to talk with a Samaritan woman at a well? In this Sabbath lesson from Proverbs 24 and Isaiah 12, we learn that knowledge is sweet like honey to the soul, and that we draw water from the wells of salvation and declare His doings among the people. Through John 4, 2 Kings 17 and Exodus 34, you’ll see where the Samaritans came from and how God is merciful and gracious yet will by no means clear the guilty. Finally, Abraham and Isaac with Abimelech in Genesis 20 and 26, Isaiah 41, John 15 and Hebrews 11 show that a friend of God is one who does what He commands, and that His blessing on the righteous reaches down to their children.
