Summary
How should Yahuah’s people treat the stranger, and what keeps our worship free from idols? In this Sabbath lesson from Exodus 20, John 14 and Jeremiah 10, we learn that God never asked for images or symbols to represent Him, and that we must not learn the way of the heathen. Through Leviticus 19, Deuteronomy 32 and Ezekiel 47, you’ll see that Israel was commanded to love the stranger as ourselves because we were strangers in Egypt, that serving strange gods provoked Him to jealousy, and that strangers who sojourn among Israel will share in the inheritance. Finally, Leviticus 19, Matthew 7 and Matthew 12 teach us to judge with just balances, to be merciful, and to bring good things out of a good heart.
