Summary
Why does Yahuah warn His people against enchantments, horoscopes and observing times? In this Sabbath lesson from Leviticus 19 and John 15, we learn that we glorify the Father by bearing fruit, and that God gave clear statutes so we would not mix His ways with the practices of the nations. Through Genesis 1, Deuteronomy 18 and Isaiah 47, you’ll see that the lights in the heavens were made for signs and seasons, not for telling our future, and that turning to astrology and witchcraft is an abomination to God. Finally, Deuteronomy 14, Genesis 19, Judges 19 and Isaiah 3 teach us not to cut ourselves for the dead, to protect our daughters, and to honor the elderly instead of letting children rule over us.
