Summary
Why does Yahuah forbid us from making any image to represent Him? In this Sabbath lesson from Isaiah 28, Hebrews 5 and Leviticus 19, we learn the word precept upon precept and see that God commanded us not to turn to idols or make molten gods. Through Deuteronomy 4, Exodus 32 and Exodus 4, you’ll see that Israel saw no form when He spoke, and how they made a golden calf as soon as Moses was out of sight, while Colossians 1 shows that Yahushua is the only true image of the invisible God. Finally, Ezekiel 14 and 1 Samuel 15 warn that idols can live in our hearts and that stubbornness is as idolatry, so we must obey Him rather than offer sacrifices our own way, while Leviticus 19 teaches us to leave the gleanings for the poor and the stranger.
