“I don’t want them to think we’re stupid enough to believe it’s a suicide,” Black said. “Eddie didn’t do it. He didn’t.”
“Anybody that sees that branch where he (allegedly) was, knows he didn’t do it,” Black said, referring to a distressed shrub where Eddie was allegedly found.
“It wasn’t a tree. It’s a shrub bush,” she said, pointing out the dead limbs on it.
“He was tall. He wasn’t stocky, but he was strong,” Black said. “That dead limb I saw…Lord Jesus, I hope they don’t think it held him.”
“My honest to God (believe) is he was placed back there,” said Black, reiterating she believes her brother’s death was a homicide.
MPD Detective Johnson said authorities can only go by the pathologist’s report as far as the ruling of suicide.
“We can only go by what the pathologist tells us,” Detective Johnson said.
