come up before me so the first thing that the first thing [03:09] is the most high God sent them to do is to go to uh jeroboam [03:14] so he's like go to jeroboam and tell jeroboam you know I'm saying do such and such whatever it was that he told [03:21] jeroboam to do jeroboam did it and they end up saving all of Israel [03:27] right the most high God said Israel was about to be blotted that in other words Israel is about to [03:32] go away whatever was about to happen Israel is about to be done if Dearborn didn't make these moves [03:38] so then Jonah came and Jonah he is most like God told start seeing the winds and [05:58] rain it was a storm so they trying to ride and they trying to go into the sea [06:03] and travel all the way to tarshish he Jonah just hopped on the bus you know he just hopped on the boat with some other [06:09] folks so at this point it's like whatever it takes let's get up out of here now [06:15] everything gets shaken up and they looking like man we wasn't expecting no bad weather where all this bad weather come from [06:20] right so now everybody feel like they're about to die so they they know they not newbies today they ride ships all the [06:27] time so what they start doing they start throwing stuff off the ship to make the ship lighter so it don't sink they [06:32] throwing stuff off but watch this so the shipmaster came to him and said these different guys that these people worship everybody praying today God they're [07:30] trying to preserve the ship so that they don't die Jonah down there sleep [07:36] they gonna donate looking that for my sake this great Tempest is upon you nevertheless right and rolled hard [12:34] so now you gotta look at it you see Jonah just sacrificed himself [12:42] right to everybody that was in this ship with him he put himself [12:49] to sacrifice so that they might live right so he said look just go ahead and [12:55] put me off to the side if you put me off to the side everything gonna be calm [13:01] let's see how I play out [13:06] nevertheless the men rode hard to bring it to the land but they could not for the sea rot and was tempestuous against [13:12] him so now what they was looking at is we don't want to throw this man oh [13:17] right that's the last thing we want to do so they start rowing hard they start doing whatever they could to get it [13:24] right back to the land but man that sea was that seat was stronger than they were [13:29] right all the men that was on the boat couldn't roll and get the boat back to land [13:34] So eventually we're gonna see him give up watch this wherefore they Cried unto you and said [13:41] we beseech Theo yahuwah we beseech thee let us not perish for this man's life and lay not Upon Us innocent blood for [13:48] thou all yahuwah has done as it pleased thee so they took up right and forth [13:53] into the sea and the Sea ceased from her raging right so as soon as they put them in the sea everything was calm [14:00] so now watch how they react to that right because they looking at it remember they don't necessarily serve [14:06] yahuwah but they pray into you who would now just because they're superstitious so [14:11] they looking at it they looking like we know about all these Gods if this is the god you know what I'm saying it's kind [14:17] of like all the Greek gods you might got respect for all of the Greek gods because you just got respect for God [14:23] right and so they looking at this situation they look like okay well these things apparently are happening because [14:28] of this particular God name out [14:45] so they took up Jonah and cast them forth into the sea and the CC's from her raging then the man feared you who are [14:52] exceedingly and offered a sacrifice unto yahuwah and made battles right so after they saw that after they saw oh and now [14:59] the C is is calm right after we threw them over now they fear them they look [15:04] like oh that's a bad man and I ain't never Him and they even made a sacrifice to him and they don't know what they're doing they [15:22] just following the principles of their own little religions and they own what they what they believe is right and they [15:27] just made a sacrifice to him right there in the seat right but that's the fear that the most I got [15:33] put in them and now they get to live meanwhile [15:38] Jonah was just thrown over the side in the middle of the water into a crazy raging water then it gets calm and he [15:45] just thrown over the side right so let's go to the next chapter and see what happened [15:56] now yahuwah prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three [16:01] nights and Jonah prayed unto yahuwah his God out of the fish's belly and said [16:07] abide by reason of my Affliction unto yahuwah and he heard me out of the belly [16:12] of the belly of Hell cried eye and thou heard my voice now has cast me into the [16:18] deep in the midst of the Seas and the floods Compass me about all thy Billows and thy waves passed over me then I said [16:26] I am cast out of thy sight yet I will look again toward thy Holy Temple the waters Compass me about even to the soul [16:33] the depths closed me round about the weeds were wrapped about my head I [16:39] went down to the bottoms of the mountains the Earth with her bars was about me forever it has brought up my [16:46] life from corruption oh yahuwah my god when my soul fainted within me I remembered yahuwah my prayer came into [16:53] my prayer came in unto thee into thine Holy Temple they that observed lying [16:58] vanities forsake their own Mercy but I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of Thanksgiving I will pay right so you [17:06] gotta listen to what he's saying he's at the sequence of events of he likely went [17:54] all the way down to the bottom of that seat right got wrapped up by seaweed lost his [18:01] breath died official King got him [18:07] and then he [19:00] him at some point right he then comes all the way back up and at some point the fish spits him out and [19:06] now he ends up on the uh on dry land again right so now that that's [19:13] what he says they that observe lying vanities forsake their own Mercy [19:18] that's a tough line right there what that mean [19:24] so the mercy of the most high is US understanding and knowing what it would [19:30] take for us to turn from our ways so when we cling to Lion vanities we forsake our own mercy so there's like [19:36] there's no like uh like Paul was saying there's no more sacrifice for sins right so it's like you know you're you're [19:44] throwing away your own repented by not turning away right the mercy I said you breaking up a little bit for [19:50] me oh oh well yeah so yeah just you know you [19:56] forsake your own Mercy When You observe lying vanity so any any lies you cling [20:01] to any sins that you cling to you throw your own Mercy away absolutely it's so it's exactly like [20:08] like we say all the time right if even if you got it set up in your mind like [20:15] you know what I want to be a sinner I want to sin one thing you can't confuse [20:20] yourself with is to make make you yourself believe that it's right right it's a lot of Christians out there [20:26] a lot of Muslims out there a lot of people out there that thinking [20:31] YouTube is tripping again they say huh there's a lot of people out there it's a [20:37] lot of a lot of uh religions out there that will try to paint their sin as [20:43] being okay as being acceptable with God nobody's perfect we're all just human [20:49] right people gonna make mistakes all these different things we say it to comfort ourselves and sin well those are [20:57] lying vanities right those are lion vanities so if the if the [21:04] lion vanities is what you cling to then you know you no longer have an opportunity to take advantage of the [21:10] mercy because the most high God is saying hey I'm not going to kill you I'm Gonna Leave You here I'm gonna give you [21:17] an opportunity to turn but if you never even see the importance of turning because you think the direction that [21:23] you're going is the is an okay Direction like maybe it's not perfect but it'll still get me there that's kind of how [21:30] people think it's like no I'm not perfect now but you know I'm I'm a I'm a [21:35] decent person I treat people all right I do this that and the other I ain't never did nothing to nobody that didn't [21:41] deserve it or you know like we rationalize whatever we do Nineveh was an exceedingly great city of three days journey [22:29] all right so he was in the he was in the fish for three days and three nights according to chapter one chapter one to set up [22:36] yeah or chapter two okay yeah so so according to chapter two he is in there three days three nights right [22:43] um then he gets spit out and he's in Nineveh now Nineveh it takes [22:49] three days to walk across Nineveh right so you gotta understand this man's [22:54] Journey he gets told to go to Nineveh he like nah I ain't doing that I'm gonna go the opposite opposite direction [23:00] he ride and then he end up still got having to go to Nineveh after after drowning getting swallowed by fish [23:06] sitting in the fish for three days three nights he come to his darn senses he gets spit out on dry land now he gotta [23:13] walk three days to get across Nineveh right so let's see [23:23] and Jonah began to enter the city a Day's Journey and he cried and said you had 40 days and none of us shall be [23:29] overthrown so the people of Nineveh believed God and Proclaim to fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest of [23:35] them even to the least of them right so he said he gave him a message he said it in [23:42] three days he said three days right [23:49] 40 days oh 40 day he said in 40 days [23:55] Nineveh is gonna be what destroyed [24:00] the whole shebank out of there right [24:07] so we look at it and now he's giving them a message that is over [24:13] but watch how Nineveh responds Nineveh doesn't respond like yeah right it ain't [24:18] gonna be over and they don't respond like over by who will fight to our death no watch how they respond it's a little [24:25] different so the people of Nineveh believe God and proclaim the fast and put on sackcloth [24:31] from the greatest of them even to the least of them for word came unto the king of Nineveh and he arose [24:37] from his throne and he laid his robe from him and covered him with sackcloth and Saturn ashes [24:43] and he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king in his Noble saying that [24:50] neither man nor Beast heard or flock taste anything let them not feed nor drink water but let man and Beast be [24:57] covered with sackcloth and cry mightily unto God yet let them turn everyone from [25:02] his Eve away and from the violence that he is that is in their hands who can tell if God will turn and repent and [25:09] turn away from his Fierce anger that we perish not and God saw their works that [25:14] they turn from their evil way and God repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them and he did [25:20] not right so the most high God looked at how they responded to the message that they [25:28] would be destroyed that somebody was going to overtake them right all of them the king even starting with the king the [25:34] king said he got sackcloth and Ashes which is a sign of like remorse and repentance right and then he said [25:40] everybody got to do it everybody fasting so he made a law and he said everybody [25:45] including the animals nobody can eat because he said you you never know I [25:52] know the most high God said we out of here but you never know maybe he'll turn from what he gonna do [25:58] most like I saw that he respected it and he did he turned from it right that's [26:05] the end of three right [Music] so now let's go to four watch out Jonah [26:10] feels about this but it displeased Jonah exceedingly and [26:16] he was very angry and he prayed unto you and said I pray thee oh yahuwah was not [26:21] this my saying when I was yet in my country therefore I fled before unto charges before I knew that you are a [26:27] gracious God and merciful slow to anger right greatness in repentancy of the [26:32] evil so look Jonah's looking like I already knew you were gonna let them off the [26:38] hook yo I knew you were gonna let Nineveh off the hook [26:45] you gotta understand who Nineveh is to us right Nineveh is this foreign country [26:51] Sinners you know what I'm saying these people ain't got no respect for God they ain't put in all the work that we put in [26:57] that's how Jonah would look at it right and then you got to compare to what [27:03] Jonah just went through he was just sent to uh uh jeroboam [27:08] and he knew Dearborn was a sinner but the most high God had mercy on him and saved all of Israel [27:15] but that's different because that's Jonah's people that's his brothers right so he's looking at oh if you tell [27:21] me to go to Nineveh you might mess around and say them both our God probably gave Jonah the [27:27] whole plan like go out there and tell him this because if you tell them this they might just repent [27:32] and you're [28:45] so very committed to Israelites that when he was told to go to Nineveh [28:50] he would rather be thrown off of a boat now the most high God wouldn't let the [28:57] man die you have to understand when Jonah said throw me over the boat he wasn't [29:03] thinking oh the most high God Gonna Save Me with a fish he was thinking this is it [29:09] and it was preferable he looked like all right well no just go ahead and throw me over he was willing to sacrifice himself [29:16] to death in order not to have none of us say [29:22] I prefer to save these people I'm on this boat with and throw me off because he could have stayed on the boat and [29:28] everybody died but in his mind it's better that I get thrown because these people ain't got nothing to do with it I [29:33] just know them people and Nineveh shouldn't be saved so he said I'll take death he get thrown off the boat the multi God save him he [29:41] go and now the most high guy end up saving all of Nineveh also right is now [34:27] explaining to us that these things were examples for us right he went through a lot of things [34:33] that happened in the wilderness in the Old Testament and he said these are examples for us right keep going watch [34:40] this either let us commit fornication and some of them committed and fell in one day [34:45] twenty three thousand neither let us tempt the Messiah as some of them also attempted and were [34:51] destroyed of serpents neither murmur ye as some of them also murmured and were [34:57] destroyed of the Destroyer now all these things happen unto them for examples and they are written for [35:03] our admonition upon whom the world are coming so these things are written for our [35:09] admonition admonition means warning or for our teaching right so it's there for us as a as a as [35:18] a warning for us to say this is what happens [35:23] right so all these things that we read in our book the most high God is not [35:28] going to repeat these things for us so when he shows you through Jonah like yo [35:34] I care about the I get to care about the Gentiles too [35:40] he's not gonna have no mercy for our Israelite brothers that's running around here talking about all the Gentiles [35:45] can't get in because they doing the same thing that Jonah did now he had mercy on Jonah for our people for our sake [35:52] to teach us to show us the right way y'all not gonna get that treatment at [35:58] some point we gotta look at the book and do what it's supposed to do it's supposed to be an example for us so when [36:04] we look at it we supposed to be like oh got it that's how I'm supposed to move [36:09] that's how I'm supposed to treat this situation let's go back to Jonah [36:15] brother T you there [36:22] oh my lost brother to you let me see here [37:18] we're gonna wait for brother T to reconnect here [37:24] why are you reconnected though it the the the point of what we have to try to understand when it comes to any book in [37:32] the Bible right is that it's our job to learn from what's written [37:38] it's our job to model Our Lives based on what's written not so much based on what [37:44] somebody think or you know the way the way a pastor do it or the way brother Philip do it or anything like that we [37:52] have to base it off of what's written that's safe for us our job is to be safe [37:59] according to what the most high God say is Right safe according to to to the [38:04] things that he put in front of us if we keep walking around in danger zone taking risks I was talking to a brother [38:10] last weekend and the brother was talking to me about uh he was talking to me about uh uh [38:17] handing out pamphlets and you know I'm not that's not I don't I don't do it's like there's there are [38:23] certain Traditions that are gratuitous you know what I'm saying like like brother T when he was on he just he just [38:30] sneezed and I immediately say bless you right that ain't in no book it ain't no [38:36] commandment in the book to say every time somebody say Snee every time somebody sneeze say God bless you [38:41] there's no book for that that's likely some Christian tradition that that last [38:47] known to the world and we stick with it now there's no wrong in that it ain't no seeing this gratuitous it's extra it [38:54] doesn't take the place of anything else right it's not like it's not like by saying bless you or believing that it's [39:01] good to say bless you or God bless you to somebody who's sneezing it's not like that supersede something else or that [39:07] causes you to to not believe something in the scripture it's just it's a tradition another example would be uh [39:13] Grace right you say uh you know what I'm saying you sit down and you pray over [39:19] your food like there's a book that says we should [39:24] you know we should uh eat all things in prayer right so that's clearly where that comes [39:30] from but that's not the same as saying every time you eat you should pray over it right so it's like that's a tradition [39:37] now by itself ain't nothing wrong with that tradition right it ain't no sin to keep [39:43] that tradition however if that tradition takes the place of something right if somebody says if you don't pray over [39:50] your food every time then you're a sinner or if you don't say bless you this then you're a sinner that's when it [39:56] becomes a problem right when when when the when the [40:01] tradition like Christmas or Easter proposed purport something that's a lie about God makes you believe this is [40:08] Jesus birthday that's a lie that's not true so now by believing that you are [40:13] not believing what's in the book right it's something true about God that [40:20] you are no longer Believing by believing a lie right or by by keeping these days [40:27] right it's important to to kind of understand that there are traditions [40:33] that we bring on that we have to separate but when a tradition [40:39] causes friction with what's written in the book we have to go with the examples [40:45] right we can't just willy-nilly fly by the seat of our pants thinking everything gonna you got it's a blessing to hear just like so just like the the folks [42:02] that was riding with Jonah how superstitious they were they looking like yeah man everybody pray today God [42:08] all right let's find something to help us out Let's find let's find some way to you know I'm saying to to get this thing [42:15] done you know what I mean and at some point [42:22] let me send this link to brother t [43:03] but at some point we got to come to our own senses and we got to put ourselves in the position where it's not about [43:09] trying to be as close to sin because that's what we tend to do it's like okay well this is me and I want to try to [43:17] keep as much as me as possible I don't want to be all extra I don't want to look like one of these people that's [43:23] that's overly religious and so we try to be cool right [43:28] and we try to you know say show the sinners like oh no I could still be close to sin and that's where we get [43:34] tripped up we got to be the people that we say you know what I'ma stand on what the most [43:39] high God say I'ma stand out how he do this [43:47] I'ma stay in the high he how he want me to serve I'm gonna stand on all the things that he want me to do these are [43:53] the things that's gonna cause us to enter into life we get to line ourselves and telling [43:59] ourselves is so much that we have to do and this it's impossible to turn away from all sin and it's impossible to to [44:06] be perfect before God first of all it's not impossible to be a perfect before God but that's not what [44:11] he asked for right that's not that's not what he ever required of us right what he required of [44:18] us is that we turn away from all sin it's not impossible to turn away from all sin because all the sins have been [44:24] turned away from by somebody at some point in the world all we got to do is make sure that we [44:30] are in position to to follow the examples that set forth in [44:36] the book and that's why we go over this stuff that's why this time around we making sure we read almost every single [44:43] page of the book because in doing that we get familiar with the examples it's not just a story [44:49] we all didn't heard the story of Jonah right all of us didn't heard the story of Jonah but it's different when you [44:55] read it for yourself and you see it and then you read it right after you looking at okay this is what Jonah did to [45:02] jeroboam and you get to make the connection and you see that oh this man [45:08] is willing to go say some word to his own people even though he know they sinners and [45:14] then you have people that's just as much sinners that's not your people and you looking like no man [45:21] I'd rather die than to do that right and now here we are [45:27] right it happens you get a word to them and you still would rather die you still [45:33] ask the most high God he said you know what you might as well just go ahead and kill [45:39] me now why why you think that's gonna play I even Nineveh right [47:54] he had Nineveh he told he told Jonah go tell Nineveh y'all gonna be gone 40 days they all [48:01] repented right yahushua came to Capernaum and did [48:06] Miracles and he said if uh had these Miracles been done in [48:13] Nineveh at a later time right or you know they had these Miracles been done to Nineveh Nineveh would have never got [48:20] destroyed because he knew the heart of the people and Nineveh [48:26] he just went to Nineveh and told him like yo repent and they repented now later on Nineveh ends up being destroyed [48:32] anyway and we gonna read about it right but the most I got is saying through y'all sure that would have never [48:39] happened had yahushua did the the Miracles there because he said he's I'm not tap dancing [48:46] for you I'm not about to go get you a message you repent you turn around oh you in [48:54] trouble again now I'ma come back to you again and do some Miracles no the most I gotta say I'm not doing that and he's [49:00] not doing it for us either he gave us a lesson we got to take these lessons that we look and we got to take them serious [49:06] and we got to apply them to our lives we gotta look at what these Kings did what the prophets did and what all these [49:13] different people that we read about all the things that they did and we have to apply this stuff to our lives we have to [49:18] see what can we learn from what do we get from it what wisdom can we pull out of it [49:24] because if we don't do that we just spinning around in circles then we might as well get some darn uh what's the [49:30] little things what's the little things that you know I'm saying you know I'm saying a little thing like [49:36] a drum in the symbols a what sense let's go uh let's pick it back up at [50:26] Jonah Jonah chapter four wherever we were on verse five [50:33] so Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city and there made him a booth and sat under it in the [50:39] shadow until he might see what would become of the city and the Lord God prepared look Jonas [50:45] still look at Jonah looking for the city he like I still hope the most I got destroyed you gotta look out look how [50:51] messed up Jonah was in his brain Jonah looking at him like man I still he he got under a little bit of shade he's [50:57] looking the city like man I mean just maybe the most I got it you know what I'm saying I heard about what he did to [51:03] Sodom and Gomorrah I mean maybe he's overlooking it watch this though [51:09] the Lord God prepared the Gordon made it to come up over Jonah that it might be a shadow over his head to deliver him from [51:15] his grief so Jonah was exactly right so Jonah was hot he's sitting [51:22] there he out in the middle of nowhere remember he on foot ain't like he got a Corvette or something he on foot you [51:28] know what I'm saying so Jonah looking he just got done walking three days through Nineveh remember he started preaching in [51:34] one day although it's a three-day journey to get through Nineveh he got one Day's Journey worth and he started [51:40] preaching but he kept going through all the Nineveh to tell all the people so now he's on the other side of Nineveh he's [51:47] in the hot desert he's sitting there he bad these people all repented he had to [51:52] go and tell him that the most high God is going to relent he's not gonna destroy him and now he he gonna be known [51:58] as the prophet that saved Nineveh so he looking like what type of mess is [52:03] this he mad about the thing he's sitting there in the hot sun in the desert he's [52:08] at well at least at least maybe somebody to mess up and the most I gotta still kill him let me keep an eye on this [52:14] situation and maybe that'll make me feel better right but then the most high God calls a Gore [52:19] gourd is like a you know what I'm saying it's like like a it's like uh some of them super big but uh you know I'm [52:26] saying it's like a potato you know what I'm saying it's like a potato almost or it's like a potato mixed with like a [52:31] melon you know I'm saying like a like a watermelon mixed with a darn potato you [52:36] know what I'm saying and this gourd grow up so big that it causes shade for it [52:42] brings Shades from so now he got a little bit of shade now he's watching he ain't even paying attention but all of a [52:49] sudden he get a little shade behind and he likes it he appreciates it right [52:54] watch this but God prepared a worm when the morning [52:59] Rose the next day and it smoked the gourd that it withered [53:05] this is a family you can hear me right [53:10] I think we lost brother T again all right [53:15] brother T looked like he back let's get him back on he back on all right I'll reread that again [53:22] all right and it came to pass when the sun did arise that God prepared to be him in [53:28] East Wind and the Sun Beat upon the head of Jonah that he fainted and wished himself to die and said it is better for [53:35] me to die than to live and God said to Jonah thus that do us thou well to be [53:40] angry for the gourd and he said I do well to be angry even unto death then [53:45] said yahuwah thou Hast had pity on the gourd for what thou has not labored [53:50] neither made it grow which came up in the night in Paris in the night and should I not spare Nineveh that great [53:56] City wherein are more than six four thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and [54:02] their left hand and also much cattle right so what he's what he was trying to [54:09] you have to understand that everything with the most high God is logic based if you look at the any other communication [54:15] that we've seen so far that were the most I got is communicating with somebody it's always [54:22] based off of logic so what he did is he said okay I'm gonna cause this Gore to come up [54:28] and bring you shade you didn't work for it you didn't plant the gourd you didn't [54:33] water the gourd you don't you don't have anything right then [54:39] all of a sudden worms come and overnight that gourd is gone [54:45] so now Jonah looking like that's not fair [54:50] right and the most I got is responded to him and let them know it's like well hold on you didn't you didn't do nothing for that gourd yet you have pity you're [54:58] sorrowful because the gourd is gone he's like so how much more how do you think I [55:03] feel right you didn't do anything for that Gore right however when the gourd is gone it [55:10] makes you sad so he's like how do you think I feel I didn't do nothing for these gentiles [55:17] right I didn't bring these Gentiles my word I didn't bring them out but now they're threatening to be gone [55:23] you're like so why I can't be sad over that [55:28] and that's the lesson that Jonah had to be left away with now sister Sharon asked a question said Sam was like okay [55:33] we at the end of the book the end of the uh Book of Jonah you know I'm saying so [55:39] what became of him what happened to him so sister Sharon we don't always get the [55:45] full story of the prophets you'll see like Alicia we didn't really get his his ending either we don't get [55:52] um we don't get uh a number of the profits ended right even Elijah right [55:57] Elijah got taken up but they don't really tell us what happened after that you know what I'm saying we didn't know he got taken up and you know I'm saying [56:03] we know some prophecy about him coming back but any of the prophets really we don't get you uh there was a prophet [56:10] Nathan um that spoke to to Daniel and I'm sorry not Daniel David and we [56:17] didn't get his end either so the prophets don't necessarily have the prophet books are more about the message [56:23] rather than about their lives right it's like it's more about the the prophecy at [56:29] the most high God gave them so we're going to read about all these prophets it's it's about to get hot and heavy with the prophets right because we have [56:36] Jonah then we're about to read Amos next all right and uh and then Hosea and you [56:44] know I'm saying a few other prophets yes so as we as oh go ahead my bad not to [56:50] cut you off so Sharon um we read in the book of kings and Chronicles that's more narrative story based right so you're [56:57] used to seeing that when they slept with their fathers after they did this then the third the profits don't it's not so [57:03] much right they don't necessarily get that lucky they don't necessarily get that that luxury you know so the [57:09] prophets is like God all God's like dirty work you would think the prophets had an easier life than some Wicked king [57:14] would know like the prophets live the most difficult life and they necessarily they don't necessarily get well how they [57:20] say today they don't get their flowers you know what I'm saying so once you read the prophet books you're not always [57:25] gonna see what happened to the prophet what became of the Prophet um it's not like kings when they're telling a story about the beginning and [57:30] ending of this person's life so that's why you don't get that they slept with their fathers you know what I mean [57:36] and really in in the Kings you only get that about the Kings generally right it's for the most part you only hear [57:43] about the beginning and the end of the King's life just because the focus of the book are the Kings of Israel and [57:48] Judah uh but when you when you read the rest of the book you know it's really only focused on whatever subject it is [57:55] it don't really get you it doesn't always give you the end of everybody's life in this situation so in this [58:01] situation with Jonah there's nothing that covers his death or or uh you know [58:06] anything that he did outside of this it only covers the message that the most high God gave them and it covers a [58:12] little bit of what he said it don't even really tell you what he told uh jeroboam it just said that he spoke to jeroboam [58:18] and whatever he said led to the rescue of the nation [58:27] [Laughter] Jenny you are uh Sharon you are crazy [58:35] laughs oh man um so God was like uh he's like these [58:43] people don't know they left hand from their right just me to just wipe [58:54] them out just because yeah just because you don't like them you know what I mean and as we as Pamela sister Pamela asked [59:00] earlier like is it doesn't God use Israel to bring his word to the Gentiles and that's true so like you see in [59:07] Joshua when God was like kill everybody right kill everybody and then you see [59:12] the gideonites came it's like yo we from far away we not we not Canaanites we from far away we heard about your God [59:18] and want to be your servants and for that they were spared because they feared the most high God and the same [59:23] thing with naming with the leprosy we read a couple weeks ago and he was like yo yo God real he like literally healed [59:29] me so just just pray to him that he forgive me when I when I'm with the king I gotta go and hold his hand in the [59:35] temple of his God he was like but but ask God have mercy on me because your God is the real one so as we keep [59:41] reading you'll see when dealing with all of these Gentiles and different interactions with other nations at the [59:47] end of it usually they were like oh yoga real and that's how that stuff gets spread but you'll see it a whole lot in the New Testament that's basically what [59:54] the New Testament was mostly about bringing that message to you know the people that have not heard like God [59:59] wouldn't be a just God if he just wiped out everybody and they don't even know who he is like they didn't even get the [60:05] opportunity to like know what's right from wrong you know what I mean so so that was that was God's main thing so [60:11] yeah we don't you know you're gonna you're gonna find when we read these prophets we don't get no Happy Endings hey life is like extremely difficult [60:20] now I mean I'm kind of excited to get into the office you don't see like you know you want to be a prophet of monster God that's a burden like that's what he [60:26] said it's better for me to die after you read like Isaiah and Ezekiel you know I'm saying it's like yeah I would probably rather be dead too you know [60:33] what I'm saying yeah you're gonna see like we don't get a ton of backstory for Jonah right to [60:39] get like a like to to understand the exact reasons why he why he took it so [60:46] seriously not to go to Nineveh but you'll see from some of these other prophets and how we're treated [60:52] right how are the prophets rather are treated you will see that it is likely [60:59] that it was a huge disdain in our country right in Israel or [61:06] um for Nineveh and that he knew by going back people was going to be giving him a [61:11] hard time he'd be getting a lot of problems so that's why it's like let me just stay out here and then let me watch [61:16] what's going like I wasn't even he wasn't even in a rush to get back home right because he probably you know I'm [61:22] saying what I like to believe it that the man probably was sitting there looking like you know I territory he might be mad that I helped it out [61:45] all right so uh we don't get as much backstory with Jonah but you'll see what [61:51] other profits we start to get more backstory as we get into to some of the other profits like uh like Jeremiah when [61:57] we get to him we get a lot of backstory because he's intertwined very closely with the kings in the events of the [62:03] Kings um but you know that's that's a little bit later yeah yeah Maya's about the [62:09] only one that got that uh that flows so closely together with The Narrative [62:14] of Chronicles and kings yeah he was closely intertwined and we're gonna see why he was too you know [62:20] what I'm saying we're gonna see Ezekiel was a little bit but we're gonna see uh why Jeremiah was so much [62:27] so sister that's worthy of [63:49] death um this person cursed his mother right he cursed his mother and his [63:55] father he cussed at him right so a person couldn't come like if the [64:01] mom and the dad was like I ain't got nothing to say about that and it's just one person coming like no [64:06] I saw him he cursed mom and dad right now and the mom is just like they just held their peace they didn't say nothing [64:13] what Moses was telling us is you can't put a man to death over that if you only got one person saying something you [64:19] can't put a man to death so he's saying the matter is established in other words the matter can be it can be brought [64:25] forth for for for judgment on two or three Witnesses right so I [64:33] think it is because that is also a Biblical principle right we've seen that applied by yahushua as a principle so [64:40] that that and also uh applied by uh Paul as a principal but I I have to look at that I'll say [64:46] though many of the things that we see in the book we only see it once right we'll see certain certain themes [64:53] repeated but in terms of like the examples the the individuals that that [64:59] get a pass or I'm not even gonna say get a pass that we get a chance to learn [65:04] from their life we see it documented once like if you look at um if you look [65:09] at uh uh the life of uh Joshua right you don't really have that [65:17] sequence of events in the lesson that Joshua had to learn where he had to be taken low and thrown [65:22] into a pit right and then suffer through all that maintain his his innocence through the [65:29] whole situation keep Faith through the most high God and then bring his whole bring the whole his all his people into [65:36] the Egyptian Kingdom and have them be preserved you don't see that again until y'all [65:42] you talking about Joseph huh yeah [65:50] but yeah I'm talking about Joseph right so like you don't really see that [65:55] again until yahushua so maybe yeah maybe we can say because you could say you can [66:00] look at Jonah and Jonah's whole life we didn't talk about it but Jonas everything that we just read about Jonah [66:06] ties back to yahushua right including the ship right when yahushua when [66:12] yahushua got into the and got into the ship in the water right the disciples was getting into the ship and he just [66:19] went with them right then after that it was a storm and y'all should sleep at the bottom and [66:25] they came through and they're looking like why you sleep the ship about the same thing that they [66:31] did with Jonah the only difference is y'all sure he just said peace be still and everything got calm he didn't have to be thrown off [66:37] right that's because he was going the right direction but and then we look at Yahoo he also [66:44] says that uh you know I'm saying just as Jonah was in the belly of a fish for three days and three nights so the son [66:51] of man will be in the heart to Earth right so you do see Jonah again but it's [66:58] only in yahushua so if we look at it that way you're right we do get two examples right we get the life of these [67:06] prophets where the most high God teaches this lesson and then you'll see all of their lives somehow in some way reflect [67:13] back to yahushua but outside of that I can't say that I've I've I've looked at the examples [67:19] that we're given from the most high God and I can't really think of a time that we're looking at the same lesson being [67:25] taught twice by God and it has to be a warning to us right we have to look at that and be like if he didn't show this [67:32] to us nowhere else in the book why do I think he gonna keep having Mercy on us like why do I think that when we show up [67:38] to Judgment Day he gonna look at us and be like oh well you probably didn't know that right I'm gonna give you a pass on that [67:44] that's not we shouldn't expect that to happen we got some activity in the tell us in [67:51] here like Jonah was played [67:57] let's see but I feel like David they're supposed [68:04] to say John Jonah was played a little bit he didn't want to go to Niva and say [68:10] and do anything from the jump he tried to run and got swallowed up [68:16] just to give the prophecy of the most I decided against the kind of made Jonah look fried [68:22] well why why why you feel like it at the full context it don't give us all the words that Jonah said but it does use the word [69:17] preach it said that Jonah preached so the people wasn't just repenting just [69:23] because that was their idea that they just came up with it like oh let me repent let me put on sackcloth and Ashes [69:29] when they're saying preach that means it came along with a message of what you need to do or what you know like what [69:35] the right thing is to do right when you talk about preaching you talking about giving a message of good news or giving [69:41] you know some way out right and that's what caused the people to go so it doesn't tell us exactly what he said to [69:46] him but it wasn't just as simple as saying um uh you know what I'm saying like uh this [69:53] thing is over and that's it but you know that the King was like we all repent maybe the most high God will [70:00] turn his way so you got to understand the most I got in his message that he gives is never about destruction and [70:07] it's never about people going to hell is never about that the most I got prefers that we repent [70:14] right he prefers that we don't die that's always his preference so anytime [70:20] that that's available to somebody that's gonna be the highlight so if you look at Jonah's life the the whole message is even the [70:28] Gentiles who had a message that yo y'all didn't mess up so bad it's over for y'all [70:34] even if they repent the most high got to turn back from it and you'll see that type of thing happen with other prophets [70:40] also where a prophet gives
